I solved it by deleting the textures for these meals, but i guess there can be a better solution.
Thanks a lot for your work!

That one does have it's own honey.
Other than that - great work! I very much prefer these meals to VGP and Vanilla Expanded series :)
If I spot something weird, I'll report.
To keep insect jelly only as an exotic, we'll have to not use the animal product category, and use the individual items like I had to for the rest of the categories. So we now have meat raw, eggs unfertilized, and milk in the MEAT category of better and fine meals. For lavish and 4 course meals eggs and milk are their own category.
Honey is in VGP and not VFE Medieval so added to desserts/fruits category.
Also, mod support would really, really be great to have. At least two most popular ones, VGP (Vegetable garden project) and VPE (vanilla plants expanded). Vanilla Expanded also adds a medieval faction, which in turn adds honey as a harvestable product. Which would fit nicely into "desserts" category.
I pushed an update that is pretty much what you suggested using vanilla items.
Items you've suggested were added :)
InsectJelly
Chocolate
Ambrosia
Added Insect Jelly and Chocolate to the dessert category in fine meal.
Lavish meal is like Fine meal except meat and animal products were split and each required separately as requested.
4 Course Meal, the 5th category, was edited the most. Chocolate and Insect Jelly have been put into the exotics category along with ambrosia and fungus.
Added Culinary High for about 6 hours when having eaten the 4 course meal.
Affects Rest by -0.1 (10%) as your fat and full. :)
Affects Blood Filtration, Consciousness, and Moving by 15%, and Consciousness affects Manipulation Talking and Eating respectively.
Play with it for a bit and let me know what you think. Let me know if we missed any food consumables also.
When its good I'll re-write the description.
This MOD isn't very popular as it adds more complexity and I would say realism. :) Most MODs add a little OPness.
So let me see what I can do...
Accept all fruits to a section of berries/agave, accept SweetRoll if VGP (Vegetable Garden Project) is installed, so we can basically have a group called "dessert".
For lavish and 4-course I'd replace corn with eggs-or-milk. So we can have a progression in tiers like:
tier 1 - anything
tier 2 - meat (any "meat" category food) and any veggies (any "vegetarian" category food including fruits)
t3 - meat, veggies (any "vegetarian" category food *except* fruits), dessert (any "fruits", chocolate, honey, or insect jelly)
t4 - meat, veggies, animal products (eggs, milk, cheese if present, other animal products as well maybe?), dessert
t5 - meat, veggies, animal products, exotics (fungus/shrooms, honey, chocolate, insect jelly, ambrosia, wine), dessert
Also, how about adding a 10-15% manipulation, movement, consciousness buff to a top tier meal? To make it really worth the buck ;)
But this MOD is what it is. Here on earth more complex or Lavish meals require more types of ingredients on the plate, not just more of one or two, this is the only idea behind this MOD, and to use the vanilla ingredients to accomplish it. :)
Would it be possible for you to create a simple version withoutout: drying, additional meals and custom grafiks?
Keeping simple and fine meals as in vanilla, but having lavish require meat + vegi + fruit/mushroom.
