Hey all, check out Better Wheels . I've optimized collision and enhanced suspension travel for all wheels which should allow a lot more flexibility in your builds.

@UNITGX48, Kam Solastor good idea, I'll experiment with it when I have some time. There would definitely be advantages as you both mentioned, only thing that worries me is that the wheels themselves might not be usable if the collision box was set to 1x1x1 units.

I second UNITGX48's idea - I can build around wheels decently, but if I try to replace a lost wheel - you gotta remove a ton of blocks if you built them close, build the wheel, THEN replace the blocks. It's a huge pain. Would be awesome to have it where it'd let you build the damn wheel if the surrounding structure was able to be built in the first place.

Would it be possible to make a version like this that sets all wheels to a 1x1 build box to make adding wheels significantly easier than having to grind off an entire fender?

@Daniel Lee Howell Is there any chance of putting in a mod request? And if so could we talk about it on DMs?

@Титан unfortunately the SE engine only allows block volumes to be specified in integer units. This wheel was 2 blocks wide, which I reduced to one. I'm not aware of a way to do what you're asking without access to the game's source code, and even then it would probably be tough to do.

Good. Can you make half block collisions for... half blocks in small gird? Is it possible? That would also be great if someone make mod that multiply all block collision size for 0.9. That would solve very much count of problems in SE

@Daniel Lee Howell Good luck with that one mate! I'm waiting on some parts to come available with this Covid crap... Stay safe!

@[SPITFYRE] kjs Glad to hear it! Working on a new PC build myself atm. Well, really just waiting to find a decent x570 mobo for a decent price x(

Yep yep. This will be *PERFECT* for my antagonist server coming up :P (after I get a new compy. And find more players lol)

@[SPITFYRE] kjs absolutely, that's part of the reason I made this mod. Note however, that without the mod, certain blocks near the wheels will not be weldable in survival.

So that means I could use this to make a vehicle then remove it to make the vehicle vanilla?
Daniel Lee Howell  [author] 6 May, 2020 @ 3:47pm
@[SPITFYRE] kjs I apologize for the late reply. If you remove the mod it will revert to the original wheels, however any blocks placed around the suspension (near the wheel) should remain. These do replace the vanilla 3x3 large and small wheels for as long as the mod is enabled.

I tried everything I could think of to allow spawning new wheels with blocks built close to them, but alas, to no avail. It seems to be a problem with the collision model for the 3x3 wheels. A new model could no doubt fix the issue, but that would be a much more complex mod.

If I use this and remove the mod once the build is done will it break or will it revert to the original wheels? Also do these replace default wheels?
