@Eggcelent: Yes, the affected define in NGameplay wasn't changed.
Eggcelent 5 Jun @ 2:07pm
Does this work for 4.0?
JorgenK1974 22 May @ 8:03am
it seems not to be working, im trying to get it too 99.999 and hope that works.. but i fear the worst
nighthawk  [author] 29 Apr @ 10:57am
@82. Legion: I guess so, yeah. But it may have unintended consequences regarding pathfinding of single ships in massive fleets (think about those massive "fleets" of transport ships). Would you be okay with 1000? I'll get around to doing it, in about four weeks, depending on my personal availability.
82. Legion 29 Apr @ 2:44am
Can you also change the fleet size with they are limited to 500 ?
nighthawk  [author] 21 Apr @ 12:02am
@Deadly-SFIT: Yes, this changes the core "rules" of the game.
Deadly-SFIT 20 Apr @ 12:21pm
Does this also impact AI?
nighthawk  [author] 22 Mar @ 1:42am
@Haram Bae: Really, like, you really hit this new limit? Wow, please link me a screen shot! I'll increase it by a factor of fifty to 9999999 later. I still need to restore my lost setup though, so can't do it easily right now.
Feel free to edit the mod locally for yourself - just go to your user folder:
C:\Users\YOURACCOUNTNAME\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\mod\unlimited_capacity\common\defines\unlimited_capacity_defines.txt
And edit that file. It only has one number. Very simple! :butterfly:
If you're unlucky you'll have to edit your save game (not sure if these defines re kept there instead after starting a game): Just go to save games instead and find your save file. You'll have to use 7zip to open it and Notepad++ to edit it. But you can just search for the same name of the number and edit it there.
Haram Bae 21 Mar @ 2:11pm
Can, uh, you push this higher? I already hit the 199999 limit and with a 75x crisis coming, i might need more boats.
RedGeneral 8 Feb @ 10:58am
Must have mod when playing with the Gigastructural Engineering mod.
Valjamin 9 Jan @ 11:11am
@joshnuggets You basically just have to build enough anchorages and soldier jobs for you to start making use of this mod. It's purpose is just to remove an arbitrary hardcap on naval capacity. Not to immediately make it infinitely high.
Blazingdevil 4 Jan @ 5:47pm
@joshnuggets that is the default max for the vanilla game
joshnuggets 4 Nov, 2024 @ 8:43am
how do i use this mod i type naval_capacity_max 9999 but it never worked
LokiPhur 2 Oct, 2024 @ 8:43am
Nevermind i found it!! thank you for the modd!!!
LokiPhur 2 Oct, 2024 @ 8:39am
Can you give us the exact file location (path to the file and the file name)? so we can have this take affect without needing to be online to play with a change like t his mod offers.
nighthawk  [author] 14 Jun, 2024 @ 7:45am
@Dark Warrior: You can locate that in your Steam game files. Just right-click on the game in the library: Manage > Browse Local Files
Dark Warrior 21 May, 2024 @ 7:09am
@nighthawk i cant find the stellaris/common/defines file (still a newbie when it comes to the notepad and modding)
Riepah 11 Mar, 2024 @ 3:10pm
Thank you for this mod. I reached 9999 for the first time today - until now, I didn't even know that hard cap exists.
Elden Ring 2 when? 20 Feb, 2024 @ 4:26pm
Ye
nighthawk  [author] 20 Feb, 2024 @ 11:34am
@Thee'e Vang: You want that, so the AI doesn't build as many ships, yes?
Elden Ring 2 when? 18 Feb, 2024 @ 11:42am
Can you do a 100 limit mod? So the game doesnt lag late game
nighthawk  [author] 18 Jan, 2024 @ 8:00am
@cubbigummi1: Please re-read the description. Are you producing more than 9999 Naval Capacity to take advantage of the change?
cubbigummi1 18 Jan, 2024 @ 5:59am
The mod does not work for me.
nighthawk  [author] 23 Oct, 2023 @ 3:12am
@UknowitsE: This doesn't just double the limit, it multiplies it with 200. I didn't want to risk breaking the game, and I've yet to see a screenshot of anybody even getting close to reaching this new limit (with or without this mod).
UknowitsE 19 Oct, 2023 @ 4:47pm
no offense, but if it works, why didnt you just put a 9 in front, or two 9's? cuz that only basically doubles unpenalized naval capacity doesnt it?
nighthawk  [author] 18 Oct, 2023 @ 10:27am
@Realest Grandpa: No, the limit is raised globally (for every empire).
Realest Grandpa 16 Oct, 2023 @ 7:35am
does it affect just player?
bluecheese2257 5 Sep, 2023 @ 5:38pm
ah okay
nighthawk  [author] 5 Sep, 2023 @ 2:08pm
@bluecheese2257: Why are you asking? The mod works, you don't need to do anything yourself. Somebody just had problems due to a download error on the workshop (I presume - it sometimes happens).
If you want to do a little modding on your own though: The file can be found in <YourSteamLibrary>/Stellaris/common/defines/00_defines.txt
bluecheese2257 4 Sep, 2023 @ 8:03am
So where do I find the ngameplay definition? Is it in the document or is it in game? I didn't see it in the edicts spot so I'm not sure where it actually is
nighthawk  [author] 10 Aug, 2023 @ 8:30am
@Azona: That's exactly what I designed it for. Players like us who like to fight against the extreme crisis multipliers really need this "limit break". :butterfly:
Azona 10 Aug, 2023 @ 1:41am
thank you for this. was looking to make one of my own but why do that if there is already one. playing 25x time crisis and in future gonna push that higher with other mod you need big fleet to counter that. having cap of 9999 and going above hits your energy credits hard. even tough I could counter that with tons of Dyson spheres its just silly.

this gonna be in my collection.
nighthawk  [author] 25 Jul, 2023 @ 1:55pm
@omnidragon001: No I can't do that, it's not as simple. You'd need a repeatable tech for Command Limit or something. It can be done (I believe), but you should look around for someone else, if it doesn't exist already on the workshop?
I also don't like the idea myself. It feels like cheating (to me) if you can just use an unlimited Command Limit for free.
I made this mod to solve a specific problem that's limiting the player unnecessarily (when they deserved a reward for the effort they went to to produce such a high Naval Capacity), and that's that. :butterfly:
omnidragon001 24 Jul, 2023 @ 8:49pm
anyway your make unlimited ship command with this mod or seperate mod please
KeepFeatherin'It 13 Jul, 2023 @ 1:32pm
Id like to start off quick with NightHawk, you provided a great service with this mod. Ive got roughly 50 installed mods of varying type and update date etc and my game runs smoothly with this mods addition. I no longer suffer penalties from Naval size. As long as you put your mods iin the proper order iin your mod list for each mod there is no problem with this mods applicability. IIf you are having problems with the installation and usage of this mod id have to say its more Operator Error than it being the Efficiency and Effectiveness of the Creators Product. Look through your iinstalled mods in your list and make sure all mods are where they need to be placed otherwise you might arrive upon a problem or two. Again thanks NH for this mod.
JorgenK1974 21 Jun, 2023 @ 3:04am
Kevin89NL (CFD) I guess you have little experience with computing and notepad ok ok... no problem. I assume you know where to find your steam library and therefore the game stellaris. In there, in the map "common" is a map called "defines" a notepad opens, then on top you see edit (or "bewerken" in Dutch) if you click on it, you have an option 'search" .. i hope this is enough info but if not I give a course (CFD) then you know it all in a few weeks.. (sarcasm is my middle name)
Kevin89NL 8 Jun, 2023 @ 6:00pm
Define ''look'' in the endles possibility's.
Perhaps it's the idiotic automatism to knowledge that comes from experience...
but hence that there is still explanation required as to WHERE to look exactly...

Name the location of directory if it's not done in the game...
Name the TAB-menu or whatever... if it IS in game....
JorgenK1974 1 Jun, 2023 @ 8:02am
I have no idea why it doesn't work tried everything but it doesn't want to read your mod.. only thing that any player can do is, go to common-defines.. Look (with search) for 9999 and make it 199999
then you have you max naval cap
nighthawk  [author] 1 Jun, 2023 @ 6:50am
@JorgenK1974: If you could add a Pull Request with your fix to the repository, I'd be glad to accept it! :butterfly:
JorgenK1974 1 Jun, 2023 @ 6:48am
i changed it myself in the common section manually it will work outside the mod, i think on how the game is setup with the last update you may need to take the few lines after that line as wel, to get it working again. im currently testing it, but once im done testing i give you the edited mod back
nighthawk  [author] 1 Jun, 2023 @ 6:33am
@JorgenK1974: Do you have a mostly vanilla save game I could use to test? You can link it on the GitHub page I linked in the description. Would be very appreciated, I don't have one for the latest release and would have to put in work to generate it. My time is pretty short these days, but I'll look into it on the weekend.
JorgenK1974 1 Jun, 2023 @ 4:15am
the naval limit does not go higher than 9999... i guess its time to update
Undying Void 18 May, 2023 @ 6:33pm
hey maybe update shit since you can still comment
Xorgul 15 Apr, 2023 @ 7:32am
Cool, thanks.
nighthawk  [author] 15 Apr, 2023 @ 3:51am
@Xorgul: This mod only touches the naval cap, so the titan limit will not increase further after 3800 as normal.
Xorgul 14 Apr, 2023 @ 7:22am
Does this also affect caps on titans? Do those increase when you get over 9999 or is it just naval cap and I'll hit 20 limit at 3800 naval cap as normal?
nighthawk  [author] 3 Feb, 2023 @ 8:44am
@darthvader66: This doesn't touch Command Limit, because you can't produce it limitlessly like Naval Capacity. Not sure if you think this is a cheat mod? It's not. It just allows you to produce more using Soldiers and Anchorages.
darthvader66 2 Feb, 2023 @ 7:43pm
Does this do Command Limit too or is it just Naval Cap?
yeastus 20 Nov, 2022 @ 3:40pm
I have manpower mod
nighthawk  [author] 19 Nov, 2022 @ 5:14am
@yeastus: Good luck! Your CPU will certainly have a lot of work calculating 40,000 pops ^^
