idk if this has been updated in a while but, I just tried it out and the skin seems to be working perfectly fine for me. Only thing is still the moving/floating blocks during loops. but other than that, looks great!

Oh, ok. That's kinda sad... I do believe some pirated versions of this game do have this skin included (you did not get this from me) so if you want the assets and you don't mind going to the pirate bay, you might be able to find something there. Thanks for the quick reply.

Unfortunetly it has been broken for some time due to many game patches removing assets I was using. This means that unless someone has a backup of these files or is able to recreate them from scratch there is not much I can do to get this working as it used to.

Seems to be broken... Nothing besides the track (also, blocks go all over the place in loops) Any chance for an update?

Very nice. Not overly flashy. Resembles the original game in a very appealing way.

Very nice. Beautiful to look at.

Beautiful, despite the bobbing thing. A new favorite. The background shows up as black on "low graphics" mode, but if I turn it to medium and reduce the resolution (my laptop's not really gaming-specced) it works fine.

Thanks for the info. Out of curiosity is there a site where we can see this info for modding purposes? Also I was wondering if there was a way of getting the old grey block models back (the ones which were darker with the white outline).
Really appreciate your support :)

If you change the skin code to call the SetBlocks function and use the setting "float_on_water = false," then they should behave the way you want

Yes my notes are based on the wakeboard notes from classic mode. The normal subtratum skin uses different notes, the ones used on mono modes from the "classic" skin.
Deadman 7 Feb, 2014 @ 1:23pm
Why does this issue only happen with your skin and not the standard substratum? Is it because your notes are different to the standard skin?
Shadow-987  [author] 7 Feb, 2014 @ 12:32pm
Deadman the notes are behaving as they should, this is a result of using the notes which are originally designed for wakeboard modes thus they have a sort of bobbing effect built in. Unless any versions of these notes exist without the bobbing this skin will stay how it is as I have neither the time or the knowledge of how to remove this effect myself, and frankly I'm completely comfortable with the state of the skin.

Still having an issue, is no one experiencing what my screenshots show?

I've had no problems with the install. This is probably my favorite skin downloaded to date. The downhills look so beautiful and are so intense. Really great work.:KSmiley:

I actually had good performance from the skin, but I hate that the camera is angled where it normally is. I've been so use to the far away camera that I have to at least wait until that becomes a change.

It's a shame there is no effective support on here for me, it's my favourite skin from the Workshop :/
Deadman 12 Jan, 2014 @ 3:05pm
On the skin menu, I unsubscribed so the skin disappeared, then I accessed this page and clicked subscribed, which restored the icon on the skin menu. Is this how you do it?

Here is a screenshot of what I am experiencing, only with your skin, on any song, on mono or mono-midway

All I can say is try reinstalling the skin. There's nothing in the code that would make them behave abnormally.
Deadman 11 Jan, 2014 @ 11:36am
Yes, I just tried the standard Mono mode and with your skin, my blocks are partially falling through the track. How much they sink through the floor varies as the song goes on. Sometimes they look fine but wait a few moments and they will start to sink, sometimes they are in the ground by 60%!
Shadow-987  [author] 10 Jan, 2014 @ 3:00pm
I can't say I've experienced this issue on this skin or any other for that matter. Is this only on mono midway?
Deadman 10 Jan, 2014 @ 2:08pm
Is no one else experiencing this? Sinking blocks, especially noticeable when the track has some speed. This makes the skin unplayable for me as I find it annoying. It's a shame because this is an improvement over the original...
Deadman 7 Jan, 2014 @ 3:05pm
I really like the Substratum skin and I think I prefer it to your edit because the blocks on the original seem to glow and are smaller. I do prefer the ship on your skin and probably the best thing about your skin is the correct colour scheme.

I found a possible bug though that's not on the original. Are you aware the colour blocks tend to sink into the ground often? This happened to me on multiple songs. I use the Mono Midway mode but I havent tried this on the normal Mono.

Actually, disregard that comment, it seems perfect now. Huh.
Nintendork64 30 Dec, 2013 @ 10:12pm
no no, I actually felt the opposite: like they were a little desaturated and didn't have much yellow compared to the classic color scheme. It's not a big deal though, it still looks nice.
Shadow-987  [author] 30 Dec, 2013 @ 10:03pm
Thanks for the comments. Sadly the performance issues are from the original skin, it uses some demanding shaders but I will continue to apply any updates that are made to that skin to this one as well. You are right the colors are a bit more intense than the original game, I can look into making them less saturated if that's what the community wants.
mortal_core 30 Dec, 2013 @ 7:24pm
Great game n.n
Nintendork64 30 Dec, 2013 @ 2:54pm
Absolutely love it! I like the colors and blocks better, as well as the removed see-through effect of the car. The only issue I have is it's a bit laggy, which was an issue with the original as well. This is probably my favorite skin on the workshop right now

Also, it looks more like it's using the color scheme from Neon rather than Audiosurf 1, is that just me?
Shadow-987  [author] 28 Dec, 2013 @ 7:48am
The reason I changed the blocks and vehicle is because the see through / glowy effect on the original skin looks a bit odd in combination with the intensity of the colors. Dylan has however said he is looking to refine the appearance of the vehicle so I could post a "pure" color change once he has made any updates
Marnit 28 Dec, 2013 @ 3:48am
I think i prefer substratum's blocks, tracks etc.
Any chance of a pure only color changed version?
