Yeah, totally. If for your first mod you just plan to change a current weapon and not create a new unique weapon to the game then it should be pretty straight forward. If you look at the mod tool that you can download from Steam to build it they use creating a weapon as an example. My mods never go further than changing the config values and never have code/script or graphic changes. So to do what you are looking for you can either simply change my mod files for your unique experience or download the tool (Search Steam Tools for XCOM Chimera) and build a mod for all. When you go to make changes to give a weapon some character you just need to look at my A Better Arsenal, but also take a look at A Better Agent as in Chimera they allow you to attach soldier abilities to a weapon. Like giving "Run and Gun" ability when you are carrying the SMG. (that's an example, I can't remember if that is what that gets).

All of your better mods are fantastic. The additional training options for agents, all of it. Plus, they're going to teach me how to edit mods. I love a lot about your Full On versions, but a few of the ammo/resource/health amounts are a bit high for me, so I'll have to go in and edit them myself, something I've been avoiding. Well done managing to get a procrastinator moving.

What would be needed to mod the weapons into having a little personality? I'm thinking of trying my hand at something simple, based on the Mastercraft Weapon project descriptions, and some common sense/interesting head cannon.

Think that's feasible for a first timer?
