Not only did i post the bugreport under wrong mod.
Not only did i overstack the character limits.
I submitted the discussion before i realized it all.

Idiotball is definitely in my possesion. Oh well.

Continuation and recap shall be in Discussion.

It aint Specialist Shield Booster.

It is Specialist Shield Enhancer.

Continued in Discussion.

Aside from the vanilla shield booster and the specialized shield booster did you have any other upgrades on the ship? ie. Specialized shield enhancer, shield reinforcer, etc..,

@SDK
Possible bug report?

It MIGHT be "core" avorion problem, but - With setup of 3 vanila boostershields giving 105% emergency recharge, AND, installing [-capacity +rechargespeed] mod-booster, sometimes shields just... cease. They do not "fail" in normal combat, they just randomly decide to cease their existence, seemingly indefinitely. Happens most often when ship does the doublejump [Gateway jump from X1 to X2, and then with about 1 second of time spent, hyperspacejump from X2 to X3].

If you need more info about this to fix it, i am happy to provide.

@thelich, I've updated the module now. The emergency shields now function on the new version.

Emergency shield recharge doesn't work, because of this:
data/scripts/systems/SpecializedShieldUpgrade2.lua:39: attempt to perform arithmetic on global '_RechargeAmount' (a nil value)

Apologize for the hiatus, I have night classes and kids to deal with during the day so time is limited.

I've updated and did some brief testing for this mod. I did not find any issues with it. You shouldn't need to force enable this anymore after I upload this. If anyone has any issues after I upload version 1.0.5 please let me know.

I'll read through the comments and see what I can do with your feedback and suggestions once I have reviewed all my mods for updates.

can you make hanger size upgrade?

There is a chance "force enabling" this works without problems in 1.1 (unless the below poster actually tried, instead of just reacting to the game telling him/her that this mod might be incompatible)

Reason being that the only "core" avorion file, which is being extended ( upgradegenerator.lua ) is being extended in the way it should be (so it does not "overwrite" the original avorion code)

DIsclaimer: This is unless something in the base avorion files has changed which this mod uses to generate it's custom systems - haven't tried yet I'm just checking first which mods seem compatible before continuing my old save.

The above also applies for "System Upgrade - Specialized Military Hyperspace Upgrade (SDK)"

Thanks bud exactly what i thought but im new to the game and wasnt sure if it was affecting the assembly stuff

You get more workforce out of the engineers / mechanics. ie. if they have a base output of 100 workforce and they had a 10% increase they would provide 110 workforce. You can effectively run larger ships with less crew.

With very very large ships, 500k processing power or more, this makes a huge amount of difference in the crew cost to run.

Forgive me if this is obvious but what exactly is increase mechanic / engineer productivy?

Hey, Shrooblord. I'm glad you enjoy the upgrades. I have a few hundred planned out. I'll be posting them as I get them finished. If you like feel free to hit me up in the discord and we can plan out future modules!

I love it! What an amount of upgrades, tooltips and thought-out balance you put in these. The only thing I'm annoyed about is that I was doing something very similar, and now it'll look like I'm the copy-cat. x)

Well done! Would like to see more of your ideas on the WS. I think these bring a nice flavour of SMU to the game.
