It took me over 4 years to realize I haven't marked this mod as discontinued (only leaving a small comment in the description). So apologies for that.

@Namo considering the overall time passed, and updates over the years, since the mod was last updated, it wouldn't surprise me even if it didn't work at all anymore. The fact that it seems to at least still run and not blow the game up is pretty impressive.

because this mod was last updated before gen2 does that mean that most gen2 dinos are bugged?

the glow dinos behave just fine, but the maewing doesnt.
i use these dinos as example because of the way their stats get used.
the maewing cant gain oxygen from the redist, but glow dinos can.
i am aware that maewings dont even drown, but still.

I admit the options are pretty confusing, and I can't quite remember how it's done internally, but I believe that if you want to disable redistribution to oxygen/food you would set the respective config option to True.

For oxygen and food, if I don't want points to go into those, should I leave the GlobalRedistributeOxygen/Food as false, or set it to true? The wording here is a little confusing.

encountered another problem. the mod worked fine on CI but on the island the engrams arent showing up in the engram list

The RNG tends to be pretty cruel. I'm not sure what could be causing the problem, though. The MaxOutStatsOnSuccessfulRedistribution should only affect health, stamina, oxygen and food (and it only fills them to 100% if the level up points actually get redistributed as the max values would most likely increase).
Sadly I can't check anymore, as I've had to uninstall the dev kit, best chance is if someone willing enough decides to take it from here (since I have uploaded the source files).

for some reason thats the one stat i can never seem to find a high roll for in wild dinos

i dont think so. i got some of the points to go into melee by using this
MaxOutStatsOnSuccessfulRedistribution=False

but is there a way to change it so melee gets maxed too if set to true?

Hi, the only way to redistribute points from food and oxygen is by changing the .ini (GameUserSettings) config.

You can use the ConfigOverrideItemCraftingCosts to change the crafting materials (game.ini).
Something like:

ConfigOverrideItemCraftingCosts=(ItemClassString="PrimalItemConsumable_StatRedistributor_Random_C",BaseCraftingResourceRequirements=((ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemResource_Fibers_C",BaseResourceRequirement=10.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=false)))
ConfigOverrideItemCraftingCosts=(ItemClassString="PrimalItemConsumable_StatRedistributor_Weighted_C",BaseCraftingResourceRequirements=((ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemResource_Fibers_C",BaseResourceRequirement=20.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=false)))

This would make them cost 10 and 20 fibers respectively.

Redistributing points from movement speed is the original base function/idea of this mod. I'm not too sure what you mean about using raptors and carno, since wild levels in movement speed don't actually increase it.
So at the moment it's impossible to disable redistributing stats from movement speed.

I don't mind stats in speed - I use raptors and carno. So i don't want to redistribution speed stats. But stats in food and oxygen piss me off. Where I can see this options and change them?

Option added. Although it's not possible to specific exact maximum amount of points into those stats. You can redistribute the points to them as well as other stats now.

Tested on Ground Dino (Dire Wolves) works great but would almost say that it is OP as it 0s out Food, Speed, and Oxygen and redistributes ALL the points to the remaining 4 so I end up with a dino with 45 Stamina, 51 Weight, 60 Melee Damage, and 67 Health. it is great for getting OP Dinos but maybe, if possible, keep Fd, SP, and Ox to like 20(or maybe .ini config value) or so, this would still be a strong dino with no waisted points but not OP either.

Update: Added the option to redistribute points from oxygen and food, with their respective config options. Testing done was pretty limited, so let me know of any bugs/issues you might find!

Edit: this mod changes point distribution for a dino you use it on. It doesn't remember what stats the dino had before that, so in that regard, yes, you'd have to restore a server backup from before you used the item on any/all dinos. As for the flyer speed bug, I'm not really sure what might be causing that issue, as I have not run into said bug, if you could give me the steps to reproduce it (including other mods that might affect it), I'll be sure to check it out and try to fix it. :)

I do not recommend using this mod for privately hosted servers. It is not clean and stackable. Once uninstalled you must restore from a server backup to completely remove the mod and it's changes.

Additionally, this mod also causes flyers speed to bug out. It will say 0/0 but they'll be going super fast and uncontrollable.

if the breeding levels are based on wild ones (not some internal values), then it should work even for the next generations.
