This also fits the lore of them being Thin Men in the past, since I'd assume bio-engineered infiltration units of their caliber would need the necessary speech patterns to fit in. :3
...also Torque is voiced by the same VA as Loona from Helluva Boss so ionno man

Because the voice actor didn't even know they were voicing a snake, they kept in secret to not make the VA unconsciously "snakeify" a snake character

Whenever I see '(female character) makeover' mod I expect the worst but this one is just good. More snake-like, less weird and uncanny, without being like 'she's a girl snake so I gave her fat tits'. +1, good work.

I actually like the VA job on torque. Refreshing change of pace from the usual stereotypes of serpentine characters. And it fits in with the themes of the game better too IMO.

Have you considered applying a similar makeover mod to the vanilla Viper models in XCom 2? Merely asking out of curiosity really. The tweaks made to Torque are huge improvements since I did always find the in-game models for Vipers to be uncanny with their whole "pouty lip face" they got going on

The VO didn't actually know they were voicing an alien at all until afterwards since whoever was in charge of VO didn't tell her, at the very least I'm glad she doesn't draw our her s in speech because that would be very grating to listen to.

The Vanilla Torque looks like she is on drugs. Due to her story and what she says in game i think its partially intentional in order to make her more then just a Viper.

I also wonder about armor modifications, @Crimson Flare. Interesting thought.

@artifex, I suppose that other characters will need to swap out the eye shaders for prop shaders as well so they don't look so strange.
