Hi,

great map, but all the orcs & such just go really fast and have something like 20000 lifepoints even in easy mode ?

Is it on purpose or a bug ?

Hehe. Ya i know about that issue. Not sure if i will ever fix that, because it is just a minor bug. :)

It is possible to take a look on the Campaign-Bosses, but its just so hard to understand. But i am already talking about that with someone else.

Just completed the cinematic Intro for Moria. I think i havent set that up in the first version. I also think i will raise the DU to 105. Actually dont really had problems with only 90 DU, but my chars are already pretty strong so i think some additional DU woudnt be that bad. The unique battle and build-music is also almost finished. :)

I'm not a developer using the developers kit but I'd suggest to maybe ask someone who has actually made a boss in the developer kit for help, or (If it's possible) have a look at the original campaign map for inspiration on how to create a boss. Good luck with your new upcoming map :)

Hello GeeTarS. I know that i havent done that much during the last month. I was already working on the next Map, wich have already no stucked ogres or other Bugs that might can annoy the player. You are right, i am pretty proud of it so far. I know that there are still some heavy bugs on Moria. It was my first Map and also first try to do something with the Development Kit so far, so i am still learing. But i will promise, that i will release an Update with unique Battle and Build Music, some fixed stucked Enemys, more available DU and less Ogres on the last Wave. I am not sure when i can add a Boss, because its hard to set up and i dont know how exactly to do it.

Also, could you post any updates in the description or atleast say what has been changed when you edit the map in the change notes. It'll really help people know how you're doing on the map and your development.

There hasn't been much changed that have been made ever since I've reviewed this, which is dissapointing. (Or is it just my DD that's playing up?)

This has real potential to become a great map but if the changes won't happen, the potential will drop quite alot. You seemed to be really proud of this creation, and we appreciate that, but please don't abandon something you've worked on for so long; it can become so much!

And also, note what 'The Wanderer' said into the description. It's quite important for some people ;)

Wish Map creators would state minimum player level, whether this is a mandatory multi-player or Sarah M's Equipment required map.

A Map where a Lvl 74 character that has done up to Endless Spires on Insane by himself/herself can't make it past Wave 1 on this map on Easy? WTF

Nice idea but ultimately a waste of time.

I've added you, i wanted to show you something :)
And yeah i agree with what have been said, the summoner overlord can't reach one crystal, ogres are spawning under there spawn on one side, spiders are not attacking unless you're really close and some flying ennemies are stuck on spawns for around 30 sec trying to find there path. The map is really dark on some places, don't know if it's because we're not supposed to go there but that's strange ^^
And finally there is way too many ogres at the end of the last wave !

Except that this is an incredible map, you made a really good job mate ! :D

You may try out this Build:

West Crystal:
1 Aura Stack
3 Proxy Mine South/North/West of Crystal
2 Gas Trap South-West/ North-West
1 Spike Trap North
1 5DU Buff (North, Archer/Mage/Spider/Archer)
1 5DU Buff (West, same Order)
1 5DU Buff (South, same Order)
3 1DU Reflect Beams in front of each Minion Wall



Northern Crystal (In front of Chamber):
1 Aura Stack
1 Gas-Trap (East, between Pillar and Rock)
1 Proxy (Place it a bit more to enemys spawnpoint than Gas)
1 4DU-Beam (Between Pillar and Rock, 2xArcher,Spider,Mage)
1 Reflect in front

South-Crystal
Same as North, Buff Beam between South-East Pillar and Rock

I hope that helps you. There is btw a hidden entrance in one of the pillars. It leads to an secret room. :)

I actually tested the Map on Nightmare already. Its doable, but you are right. The Ogres are pretty hard. They have a strengh of 6.0 in the Development Kit, but no additional Health (I think they have 25 Million Health on Nightmare). As far as i know the Ogres from Akatiti Jungle had something like 3.0-4.0 on strengh but some additional Health so that they have around 50-60 Million Health on Akatiti. The last wave is indeed much more difficult compared to wave 14. Havent knew that you already need 2k Builders for easy. I have tested Nightmare with 4k Builders and a Summoner with 3.3k Health and 6.2k Damage.

Thanks for your feedback GeeTars. I know about some of the issures already. The stucked Ogres on northern spawn are there because i think the way is not large enough for all enemys so some of them are falling through the ground. Overlord-Mode will not be supported because i dont know how to set it up correctly. But i think there is enough time to place the Minions without overlord. Same is for Bosses. Pretty hard to create, but i am still working on it and in one of the next updates there will be a Balrog for sure. :)

I can add some more mana chests, thats not a Problem.

This level is almost perfect in design as far as I can tell, you might just want to work on the cutscene and the chamber with the dead dwarf king (It should be larger and quite a few details are missed, also, the chamber doesn't have windows as far as I can tell.). That's for the design, 8/10.

The gameplay is VERY difficult. I say this as I've got level 78 builders with over 2000 stats in all tower stats and I played on easy (Wanted to try nightmare as I usually can hold out on most maps) and I had quite a challenge with the ogres and djinns (The last wave was crazy, most of my defences fell due to the ammount and the strength they have). They have immense health. I'd suggest either decreasing the health dramatically, might aswell spawn more on waves to make it not too easy, OR add more defence units, 100 is not enough as the map is large and very hard to pass.

Secondly, the chests ammount is low for lower difficulties. Yes they might give alot more on nightmare and such (Which I havn't yet tried), but even on easy, which is quite hard still, gives only 800 starting mana which only covered all my auras; give atleast 150 mana from each chest on easy.
Next, the dim lighting in some areas makes it impossible to spot where you're going as well as if there's a drop somewhere. (I've dropped down the cliff many times due to this.)

Furthermore, the summoner. If the summoner enters overlord mode, he is unable to move camera very far except from one of the entrances. The camera needs to be moveable around the entire map to make building faster, aswell as being able to zoon out a bit more because it's very close to the ground.
Moreover, text saying 'wave (n)', 'Last wave', 'Proceeding to next level' didn't show up after a couple waves.
Last, on the North West entrance, ogres (I'm not sure if they're from Goblin copters) get stuck underneath the ground for some reason without being able to kill them. (You just have to wait out for them to die because of their spawn time limit.) There is also a spider that can get stuck on a stone piece on near the west spawn.
Overall, gameplay deserves a 5/10 so far due to the faulties.

I do believe this will become a very successful map as I see much potential in this. I hope to see these improvements as I enjoyed this map so far and plan to replay it a couple times to check for more bugs and glitches that happen. Here are also some tips to think about:
Make the spiders and djinn spawn randomly around the map to make it a bit more challenging, as well as maybe some goblins as they, in the film and book, climbed down the support beams (If that is possible to create, it would be really awesome).
I was hoping for there to be a boss fight on the last wave (As you said that you wanted the Kraken and Balrog to be them); I saw that the entrance was sealed (Like in the movie), therfore maybe have the Kraken bash through the rocks to enter the mines. (Also don't make them be so overpowered like you made the ogres to be as it will make the bosses immpossible to kill.)
