That's an awesome mod mate ! Congrats :B1:

Just wanted to drop a comment saying thanks for making this. It single handedly inspired me to make a table for me and my friends, and that grew into something much bigger called ForceOrg that now has over 23,000 subscribers after only a few months. It's something the entire 40k community now uses, and it all started here.

im sorry for the dumb question, but is there a way to remove the "Press key number 1 to 9 to change color, this is 8K texture may take some time to load up." from the screen?

i'm Dming for people and i need to stream it because not all of them got tabletop, i bought this like a week ago so i'm no entirely sure how things work.

thanks for the help

Problem. The table cloth texture use in this mod is scaled too high. It means that it is impossible to write on the cloth with marker, because the thickness of the marker is consistent with the scale of the item it is written on. If you use marker here you will find it too thick
Lumix .  [author] 29 Apr, 2021 @ 6:56am
Get better friends ?
Kidding aside, you might want to switch to the color you want, edit the tile's properties to get the link associated to the color, then import a new tile that you scale up the the same size and put the link you previously copied so that the tile only has that color.

You probably can block others from switching colors with a script but i don't know how to do it.
PyRoMaNiAc2342 28 Apr, 2021 @ 8:30pm
how do I make it so only host can change Table Color, dumb friends keep spamming numbers
The Buttcracker 11 Feb, 2021 @ 6:49am
thanks man :steamthumbsup:

@d a v e
Google drive link added 👍
The Buttcracker 10 Feb, 2021 @ 4:01am
ill take whatever, but i guess google drive would be neat if thats ok
Lumix .  [author] 6 Feb, 2021 @ 3:45pm
nah, the link expired, which host would you like me to upload it to ?
The Buttcracker 1 Feb, 2021 @ 10:48am
File was deleted by its owner??
Lumix .  [author] 12 Sep, 2020 @ 12:48pm
Didn't think that throught 😅
Those are common french sharing file website. If you have some suggestion i can uploaded it somewhere else for other people having trouble with those
eggdropsoap 12 Sep, 2020 @ 11:42am
@Lumix Thanks! I got the file. Thank goodness mon français n'est pas trop pire.

@everyone else, I recommend the mirror if you can't navigate a French web interface. The first link might look sketchy but it's fine! It's just a bit hard to navigate if you only read English.
Lumix .  [author] 8 Sep, 2020 @ 12:55pm
@eggdropsoap : Updated the download link and uploaded it on 2 hosts. Enjoy
eggdropsoap 7 Sep, 2020 @ 8:03pm
The link to the PSD file is broken. The hosting service seems to have removed the file. Could you reupload it somewhere more reliable?
Amicus 7 Sep, 2020 @ 4:16pm
this seems like a really fun setup, I look forward to trying it out!
Lumix .  [author] 30 Jul, 2020 @ 4:46am
Uptobox link updated
@Canyon, you can just select the drawing tool and use "-" or "+" to change the size of the brush

@TrekScout Wich PDF ? If you meant the PSD then that's because the link was dead, i've just reuploaded it
TrekScout 25 Jul, 2020 @ 12:28pm
Also Steam won't allow download of your PDF in the USA. Weird. Can you give a direct link?
TrekScout 25 Jul, 2020 @ 12:27pm
I love this mod. I want to have 3 or 4 backgrounds available, Like the Gloomhaven Fantasy Setup mod. Just learning lua, Changing states on the tile throws tokens around and you can't keep it interactable = false. Any idea how to code a background change from a table?
wileybot 25 Jul, 2020 @ 7:33am
Very nice mod thank you for creating it! I do have a issue however, no doubt on my end. I did an additive load, and when selected player is black this table shows, but selecting any other player color it goes back to the original setup. Going back to black this table shows again. Any thoughts?
Canyon 19 Jul, 2020 @ 8:50am
that's fine, but still no way to fix the drawing tool?
Lumix .  [author] 19 Jul, 2020 @ 8:43am
@canyon, this wasn't meant to be change on the fly every now and then but as a base to create your mods or rework some. If you try to apply it on other mods chance is the author as locked some item and you'll have to unlock them one by one.

@Meitis I'm not home until the 27th/28th i'm on holiday, and have a poor connection. I'll do it as soon as i come back and can pm you if you want if the comments are open on your profil. Thank you for your interest.
Meitis 16 Jul, 2020 @ 3:59pm
Looks very nice but the link to the PSD is broken, any chance for a new link?
Canyon 14 Jul, 2020 @ 1:40pm
many problems. you can't switch on the fly cuz stuff gets launched, and the pen tool is HUGE so you can't draw
Phantastic 21 Jun, 2020 @ 8:36pm
Replacing the top image of the tile with the image from the LOTR mod's tile worked really well. Similar environments.

au top merci
Lumix .  [author] 19 May, 2020 @ 10:06am
Oh great, i'll do that later tonight or tomorrow. Thank you 👍
Acemond 19 May, 2020 @ 8:06am
@Lumix, huh apparently it wasn't because of the messy mapping. I tried again and it seems TTS does weird compressions on textures when importing custom objects that I don't know how to fix.

In the meantime, know that noise kills JPEG compression, so by reducing noice opacity by 50% in the PSD I get the 8k texture at 8,9Mo. It still smooths the gradient in TTS: https://i.imgur.com/dMkcQ0E.jpg
Acemond 19 May, 2020 @ 6:46am
@Lumix, yeah this is because I did the texture mapping like a dog. It can give the exact same render than the one you get with the full image. As I said, it was a POC.
Lumix .  [author] 19 May, 2020 @ 6:45am
@Acemond
Nice one, i've tried it to see how it looks like when scaled up, it's not perfect but still nice for its weight.

@Phantastic
Yeah i prefer the full size aswell, this is mostly a template, you've got everything with the PSD to arrange it to suit you best.
Grey or a dark center color will always be less heavy compare to colored one.
Try ajusting the noise to be a bit more appealing to your eye, i've put this much noise cause i like the way it gives to the table.
If you don't have photoshop, you can open the psd file with Gimp which is free.
Phantastic 19 May, 2020 @ 5:56am
Good on ya @Acemond!
I am finding the current half-texture to be a bit of an eyesore as we frequently play zoomed in :(
Acemond 19 May, 2020 @ 5:05am
This reduces size to 4Mo while preserving quality:

Import as custom object with cardboard material .

This is merely a proof of concept, I did it in a rush. This should be optimized and not be used as is.
Galling 18 May, 2020 @ 10:40pm
thanks.
Lumix .  [author] 18 May, 2020 @ 4:57pm
Added some instructions in the description to import the table to an existing mod
Lumix .  [author] 18 May, 2020 @ 4:43pm
On the bottom right you clic the edit note button, then you can delete the note
Galling 18 May, 2020 @ 3:45pm
Great mod, but how can i get the text to the left off the screen? You know this one:
Press key number 1 to 9 to change color, this is 8K texture may take some time to load up.

1 = Purple
2 = Brown
3 = Cyan
4 = Green
5 = Grey
6 = Orange
7 = Pink
8 = Red
9 = Yellow
Bored Gamer 18 May, 2020 @ 7:02am
This is excellent :D
Lumix .  [author] 18 May, 2020 @ 2:44am
You can load any game, then click Games/Workshop, clic the 3 dots on this mod > Additive Load > Yes and it will load the table to the game, just need to add the black image as background
JAMES Gaming LV2 18 May, 2020 @ 1:39am
I found a way to use this on other games
1. Make the "table" persistant (Right Click menu)
2. Load new game
3. Change background to a completely black image
DistributedGuru 17 May, 2020 @ 4:40pm
any way to download from the US?
Acemond 15 May, 2020 @ 3:43pm
No, one 3d model with a repeated texture. You will need to use a program like Blender for that.
Lumix .  [author] 15 May, 2020 @ 12:54pm
So the table would be a combination of 9 tiles instead of 1 ?
Acemond 15 May, 2020 @ 9:11am
Yeah compressed versions are not good, I just tried on my side. I think Amuzet idea is great but you may need proper custom 3D models instead of TTS tiles to avoid the black lines delimiting the tiles. You could drastically reduce the size of the texture going this way by x4 or x8.
Amuzet 15 May, 2020 @ 8:28am
Could you use a rectangle texture that represents a quarter of the circle, Having a custom model map that texture 4 times around a central square each offset so that the textures meet like so

R R R
R S R
R R R

the S polygon grabbing the corner pixel as to match the color of the surounding circle
Lumix .  [author] 15 May, 2020 @ 8:04am
I compressed every color by half, so still arround 20mb per image but anything lower and it's just a plain circle that just goes straight to dark.
Lumix .  [author] 15 May, 2020 @ 3:02am
I know.. I'll see how low i can compress them, i'll do that tonight
Acemond 15 May, 2020 @ 1:36am
This is cool, those should be choices for tables in the base game. Images are too large though imo, 40Mo is very large. Maybe you could compress them a bit more?
Lumix .  [author] 14 May, 2020 @ 2:28am
There's actually no table, this is a custom tile streched out and locked in space ^^
Check out the psd i put in the description
Phantastic 13 May, 2020 @ 8:05pm
What I was referring to is the Objects > Tables > Custom Table import image feature, which I would use to upload a battlemap as the surface of the table. Sorry if that was confusing.
What you did with your Gearworld mod is the perfect application, but perhaps unsustainable for me as I'd need too many battlemaps. So I will try the custom tile solution instead!
Lumix .  [author] 13 May, 2020 @ 6:14am
PSD file uploaded, link in the description.
