Hey, thanks so much for fixing up this mod. The original *was* working for me, but very rarely! It seems this one is working more like I remember the original doing. Absolutely delighted to have already seen the coptops and drones, and I even got to see the cops call for backup. Awesome!

Hmm, perhaps you could patch wanderingmerchant type npcs to be able to call in the space police? They tend to need them the most out of any of the other friendly npcs, but they don't seem able to call them in

Just wanted to bring up a bug; Space Police arrive but do not fight or defend themselves. I believe the mod responsible is the "Galaxy at War" mod, no idea why it would cause this. Otherwise, I absolutely adore this mod.

@Retired Loli & Ashtar: I think "Project Redemption" neo cops are conflicting and only one of them will be called, priority seems to be changed depending on mods.

Figured out my issue. im an idiot. i had RPG growth on with its classic mode lol. thats all bugs i had solved.

Yeah im having another issue im trying to track down but its not you. it might of been another mod. weapons deal 0 damage. but i think it was caused by a mod that removes damage notifications im lookin into it in my logs.

That's because "Project Redemption" also used the code of the original "Space Police" to add Peace Keepers as the police and a name of a function wasn't changed.

I think I can fix that.
But if you are not using "Space Radio" then this mod is basically overwritten by the other one.

Because of the error most of the npcs were gone even the quest ones on the outpost.

self.calledPolice is to make it not spawn more than once per villager.
self.canCallPolice is whether or not it can call the police. (so set it to true)

As for the "Error", thanks for telling me, it should be removed. (but shouldn't affect you as it only applies to police npcs)

although the reason why i spent months without any police spawning at all was probably because your borderlands mods says its incompatible with your npc shield mod but this mod requires it to spawn the npcs and that was why there was always that same error in the log : [Error] Exception caught loading asset: /npcs/bmain_npcshields.lua, (AssetException) No such asset '/npcs/bmain_npcshields.lua'

Oh, sadly it's hardcoded as a 1/3 chance.
The lua files inside the "npcs" folder is where it happens, it's called "canCallPolice", changing it to true would make it always happen.

I should make it a config though.

how do i increase the odds of the police spawning? There's some mods adding villages without guards and its really bothering me since all the npcs die before i even get close

If they aren't in capture pods, it's fine, if they ARE in capture pods, they should be deleted.
Else those may turn into generic items, haven't tested what happens on those cases.

Yeah, it shouldn't cause problems, any existing police-npcs will die or not even spawn.

I was wondering what the outfits were cause they've got capes around they're waists.
And none of the human armors have that.

No new weapons.
Only new pets specifically for the police. (spawnable via commands for capturing)
And uniforms are made of human armors, and the "Peace keeper" set.
