Just came here to say thanks for uploading this.... Reading the comments with interest. Hopefully no one feels like I am stealing their work. O_O

I had to bring popcorn to this comment section. @Author. I love your mods.

Good mod still works :steamthumbsup:

@RustyDios: Kinda like how fireborn got banned from Steam for not creditting a game developer for a model he used.

The fact he was a complete douchebag, tried to claim credit for everything on collaborations (five other people are uncredited for that tank mod he made) and less than a tenth as talented as he thought he was, not so much, but that's also why he's not terribly missed. Sad thing is he had potential if he could've just gotten over himself and took critiques and worked to improve, rather than going "I'm right, you're wrong, I'll block you for saying there's bugs or mistakes in my code." No one becomes a better modder without learning from their mistakes.

Cato took down his mod entirely, still claiming it as his own, despite the black and white evidence.
No one strongarmed him into doing that. No one pressured him. He was not 'bullied into submission'. His choice was to take down the mod, rather than speak truthfully.
RustyDios 4 Feb, 2021 @ 10:43am
@Lt. Grey Cato's release with these icons was using a .upk from the MPP. What gave it away was the internal filenames and source path of the icons, something that can't be changed after the image is imported. This internal name for Cato's icons still had Mitzruti's HDD as the source. I know as I was the one that pointed it out, having JUST seen these in MPP and looking into Cato's mod, to see what he had done differently ...

YES Cato did steal the pack/icons from Mitzruti. And tbh, that wasn't even the issue, the issue was that it was the second time he had stolen someone else work, and more importantly tried to claim it as his own . All he really need to do was add "this is Mitzruti's work" to his description, give credit to the original, ask for permission to re-upload, it's not a hard thing to do.

Your reading comprehension is really lacking. I don't "demand" or "want" proof. I'm telling you that you need to provide it if you want to be taken seriously. I know you don't have any proof because you are lying. Your buddy Cato has taken other people's work without permission on multiple occasions and has done the same with the icons in this mod. Your attempt at pulling a "NO U" on Mitzruti can only be interpreted as a bad attempt at trolling.
Lt. Grey 3 Feb, 2021 @ 3:10pm
@bstar You don't want anything from me, yet you demand proof from me.
You're not helping anyone by contradicting yourself at every turn.
As far as I'm concerned, you are some random commenter to me as well.
bstar 3 Feb, 2021 @ 3:05pm
Yes, that is exactly how it works. You came here with the initial accusation. If you want to be taken seriously by anyone, the burden of proof is on you. It's not on Mitzruti to provide proof about some random commenter's baseless accusations.

And what do you even mean by "cooperation"? I don't want anything from you.
Lt. Grey 3 Feb, 2021 @ 2:46pm
@bstar Didn't you just say that I'm not owed an explaination or "proof"? Following your own logic then, I'm not obliged to share my proof either. I doubt that anyone would like to be cooperative with your aggressive behaviour towards others as well.
bstar 3 Feb, 2021 @ 2:35pm
@Lt. Grey Adding a bunch of icons to a perk pack, most of which aren't used immediately, isn't a "major addition" - at least not in a way that affects mod users, so no need to mention it in patch notes. People have better things to do than writing a novel every time they make a patch for a mod. And why do you even think anyone owes you an explanation or "proof"? Where is the proof for your own accusations?
Lt. Grey 3 Feb, 2021 @ 12:44pm
@Mitzruti To ommit a major addition like that from update notes is rather suspicious, if you ask me. Your accusation of me trolling also isn't helping either to convince me that this isn't stolen.
Mitzruti  [author] 3 Feb, 2021 @ 12:38pm
@Lt. Grey
Same update that brought over a bunch of animations and a targeting method from chimera.
I don't always go into detail about how i accomplish things in the notes, just provide a rough indication of what's changed.

I get the impression at this point that you're just trolling.
Lt. Grey 3 Feb, 2021 @ 12:02pm
@Mitzruti MPP update documentation lacks any and all mentions of additional perk icons from Chimera Squad between 24th April and 12th May. Going off that, what you just said is made up. Pointers indicate that this pack is, very much indeed, stolen.
Mitzruti  [author] 3 Feb, 2021 @ 11:56am
@Lt. Grey
The original version of this was published inside Mitzruti Perk Pack. When an independent version showed up on the workshop, I initially assumed someone else had gone to the effort of doing the conversion too... but it very quickly became clear that it was a duplicate of the package I had converted.

then things got ugly.

later, some improvements were made to the package (more icons, better corners, etc) and this was put up as an independent thing.
Lt. Grey 3 Feb, 2021 @ 11:53am
Stole from who? And if so, provide proof, please.
bstar 3 Feb, 2021 @ 11:48am
It was exactly the other way around. Why do you think the other author was "strongarmed"? Because they stole it.
Lt. Grey 3 Feb, 2021 @ 11:28am
Pretty sure this was stolen as soon as the original creator was strongarmed into removing it off the workshop. Coincidentally, that was day after the original was pulled off.
Mitzruti  [author] 6 Oct, 2020 @ 10:54am
@nisida
As the decription says, it is a port of the icons from Firaxis' Chimera Squad. I did the heavy lifting of converting them into the size and style that X2 uses, and then neIVIesis cleaned up the corners.

so, not sure what you're trying to ask.
nisida 4 Oct, 2020 @ 10:58pm
Is this a stolen item?
Metroid 1 Jul, 2020 @ 9:27am
I hope someone will one day port Chimera Squad soldiers to XCOM 2. Hybrids and Aliens at least. Verge and Torque are top xD
neIVIesis 13 Jun, 2020 @ 5:46pm
As a suggestion, since I've custom made many perk icons, XCOM and WOTC 2 icons have the top right corner, and lower left corner sliced off at a 45 degree angle each. They are not perfect squares.
