Thank you for your comment and sorry about the mod not working.
OK, I’ll check it out in a few days probably.
For some reason it doesn't work though.... it doesn't show up in the Mods list. Do you mind updating it again, so it shows up? I know this is a bit old, but it would be a shame to spend this much time on a mod and have it disappear into the mist, I think. ^^ I doubt that they will ever update the game again (and break it)! Would really appreciate it if you could update it please to it shows up in the mods list. Thank you so much if you can do that for us!
But the more complex the requirements become, the more it is noticeable that updating a treeplan becomes more and more cumbersome. If a new feature is added, or a different advertising medium, or a different server type is changed, you have to completely rebuild the entire plan every time. can't the last changes made be remembered, so that you only have to change what has actually changed?
You know you can see direct requirements of selected targets on the TREE view. (See only leftmost components)
Do you want to filter the TREE view to only direct requirements?
Or do you want to make a production plan with only direct requirements?
I use the features selection in your mod.
Example:
I select 100 * landing page and 100 * comment functionality.
I only want to know what those features need.
This would be
100 * UI component
100 * backend component
100 * blueprint component
100 * graphics component
300 * backend module
300 * input module
I do not need to know what is needed to create a backend module or a input module. Unless i manually select those in the target list as a loose option unrelated to the features. But then again only the base components, not its dependencies.
Basically i want to know the amount i need of items shown in the requirements column on the targets page.
Thank you for the idea.
But I think it’s hard to implement that feature cause it’s hard to define “the required base components” of a selected item.
For example, “Front End Module” requires “UI Element” and then “UI Element” requires “BP Component”. What are required base components in this case? ( See TREE view )
If you want only BP Component, you can select only BP Component and you can also add UI Element. Use “Search” form on TARGETS View and “Type” select box.
Maybe I'll use your comment for reference. Thank you.
BTW, I think maybe you don’t have to mind about overlapped plan.
In INVENTORY window, there is a toggle button labeled “Continue producing after all targets has been reached (distributed equally).”. By turning it ON, your employees continue producing components in the same way.
(manager -> Production -> MANAGE PRODUCTION PLAN).
If you use this mod, that toggle button must be ON automatically. At least, I think I implemented like that.
I hope this become answer for your question.
Would also like the option to disable accounting for secondary components and only show required base components
If two plans both need 30 of a certain component. This will not work to creating 60 of that component. Both plans will check general stock and work toward the 30. Is that correct?
Thank you for your comment and telling me about your experience.
I'm glad to hear someone uses my mod.
Maybe I should add something to describe how to install and use this mod.
@BoulingOil
Thank you for a feedback. Instead of audio explanation, I’ll try to describe about the video here.
What I’m doing in my video are...
1. Create a plan named “LP and Server” using this mod.
2. Check it from inventory.
3. Apply the plan to Dylan Moreno’s team.
4. Create next plan named “ItemListingPlan”.
5. Change target amount in the plan and save it.
6. Check it from inventory.
7. Apply the plan to Alice Riley’s team.
Nice Addition thx @ the author. PS: i understood ur video good ;)
I have hit a bit of a block now where I can't expand very quickly and all of my staff are getting old and leaving. I am #26 globally, but can't progress any more :(
I'm glad that you say like that :)
Until requirements get complicated, It's probably fun to make a production plan manually.
I don't want to reduce the fun of users as much as possible.
If feature like this mod will be added into base game, it will be conditional something with many research points probably.
Answering your question:
The numbers you input in the mod means the levels desired to increase.
Is "target level" better than "target amount"?
At beginning, I was going to make it how to count the target including all the other components. For simplicity, I made targets selectable from features or servers only.
That is only why the label is "target amount".
Quick question, I am trying to upgrade many levels of a new website but running out of some resources while I have 100's of others. When I am planning using the tree interface, are the numbers I enter the number of said function I have in all my different websites, or a desired level increase for said functions?
Once again, great mod!
Well, I've felt like that components required by marketing packages are enough simple as is.
However, if you think it's useful, maybe I'll consider to implement before long.
Yes.
Please make it enabled if the checkbox was unchecked.
Please check if the checkbox written that "Continue producing after all targets has been reached."
(Inventory -> Production plans)
I think it's checked by default maybe.
If it seems a bug or something in the mod, please tell me detail.
Thank you for an interesting idea!
I've tried to consider about adding button on each row of requirements to create out sourcing task. However it seems to be a little bit difficult to create outsourcing data safely and design proper UI
Please try to create outsourcing task manually with referencing in stock amount and target amount shown in treeplan.
Now you can probably create plans for Ad Block or DDoS Protection
> The game says I cannot make such plan because some unavailable components are needed. However I finished all of my researches.
That is a very good question and I think that's a bug in my mod, sorry!
I checked it in the game, certainly the Ad Block and all other requirements has already researched, however I couldn't create the plan with the treeplan.
I maybe got what is wrong. I'll fix it ASAP :)
Thank you for telling me!!
I hope the mod helps you to enjoy the game :)
Once again many thanks!!!
P.S. I apologize for possible mistakes. English not my native language.
