@Author

Would you ever consider making a side kit that is nothing BUT very very large domes?
Outside of this question I would love to see any update to this mod that contains inverted versions of some of the arched pieces.

Amazing mod. Deserves a pile of awards, it's the best mod building kit really....second set of sided stairs never seem to function however. curious.
Turbo-Laser Ninjadragon 13 Jun @ 5:29am
silly question and no offense intended but... have you looked in your knowledge tree to make sure it's unlocked?

If yes, try moving it UP in the mod list. I don't think there is anything about this specific mod that would necessitate it being at the bottom, Tot Custom would be a whole other story because of how much of it's own interface elements it imports.

When dealing with load order in CE try to consider whether the mod is importing anything *fundamentally* new.

And, I hope that helps.

Anyone know how to get this mod to work? After subscribing to it, I started the game, and put it at the bottom of my mod list. While in-game, I can't find anything new - not using the construction hammer, and no new workbenches... How am I supposed to build with these pieces?
Lord Whizzel 11 May @ 3:34pm
1 mod that adds more in quantity and quality than 50-100 bucks of in game shop items or dlc's from funcom. even with less bugs and it looks all so good and works well together. Ty for this mod
Nifter71 28 Mar @ 11:29am
Excellent mod. And really versatile... I use some of these pieces in practically every build I do now! Great work!
Asghaard  [author] 24 Feb @ 12:34pm
Thank you.
At the moment, I'm taking a short break to refocus on my IRL life, but I plan to continue modding in a few months. I'll take a look when I'm more active.
... 23 Feb @ 9:05pm
I really love this mod! The design is so beautiful! I would love to know if you removed the transparent glass from the mod as I'm only able to use the yellowish hued glass in builds on the server I'm playing on. It may have been disabled on the server and have nothing to do do with you but I figured I'd ask to be sure.
Asghaard  [author] 3 Dec, 2024 @ 10:54pm
Hi, this mod is due for an overhaul and the addition of many new elements, but i can't find the time. it includes stairs and more roof variations. I just can't find the time.
StepMurp 3 Dec, 2024 @ 7:52am
any chance of adding the red tile roof as a roof corner option? Feel like the roof options could be expanded a bit as they can only currently be used as canopies of sorts.
Asghaard  [author] 1 Dec, 2024 @ 1:36am
Hello, if you want to have a small chance of seeing your suggestions see the light of day, I advise you to come and talk about them on my Discord rather than in this comment section.
That way, it will be easier to discuss them and illustrate your requests.
syn77379 30 Nov, 2024 @ 5:51pm
and lastly, sorry for the comment spam, would it be possible to get one wide, two tall sloped pieces like the pyramid set has?
syn77379 24 Nov, 2024 @ 4:44pm
would it be possible to have a 2 wide, 2 tall gate with accompanying doors added?
syn77379 24 Nov, 2024 @ 4:34pm
Hiyas! This is a very nice mod, i simply have two requests. The smaller gates don't seem to be big enough to fit horses through, and the larger gates don't have doors. Can something be done about one or both of these issues?
When trying to use the smaller door on the larger gates, it links halfway up, and doesn't reach all the way across, and any regular sized gate door clips badly on the larger gatehouse, and starts halfway down it for some reason.
The small gates are fine except...horses by themselves are almost too tall to go under them, let alone one with a rider.

Thank you very much Chaospearl, there was a time when I tried to integrate Chroma for another emod, but it wouldn't work. In the meantime, I've forgotten how to do it and I don't think my mod is compatible with the system. It requires that materials be defined in categories and have a limited number of categories, so it requires a thorough review of the way materials are constructed and organized in my mod (what we call “materials” is what players generally call “textures”). It's a big job, and right now I can't start from scratch to make it compatible.
chaospearl 19 Nov, 2024 @ 5:22am
I don't suppose there is any chance of this being updated for compatibility with Emberlight's Chroma? I know it's unlikely, but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.
I built something I love with this, planning to eventually replace with a more opulent material only to find the building pieces I used don't exist in other sets. so it's either somehow have a bejeweled rich palace made of brown stone, or rip it all down and build it again with crappy inferior pieces from vanilla that don't have the shapes I need.
I'm inclined to the former, it's just disappointing that I can't do what I'd been working towards all this time. that is absolutely not your fault. this mod is a treasure.
Kain 13 Nov, 2024 @ 9:40pm
Thanks
Galidorn 24 Oct, 2024 @ 2:58pm
absolute best of all Exiles build kits.
masterklass25 27 Sep, 2024 @ 6:53pm
Thank you for your work!!
psykotikdiva71 27 Sep, 2024 @ 9:15am
@Asghaard Thank you for your hard work on this mod....it's ABSOLUTELY my go to and I love how it looks and blends with the surrounds Amazing!!

😊
vladkomarow 15 Sep, 2024 @ 10:09am
OMG please update it for the age of heroes it is my main buildiung material for my main save :steamhappy:
Asghaard  [author] 13 Sep, 2024 @ 1:01am
First of all, I've got to get back into modding.
At the moment, I can't find a long enough period for modding, so I'm finding it hard to get motivated.
But it'll come.
vladkomarow 8 Sep, 2024 @ 5:54am
Will you update it for the Age of Heroes?
Asghaard  [author] 29 Aug, 2024 @ 8:40am
For the time being, I've just had an afternoon to unzip the Soulmask devkit, and it announced that it would take between 18 and 32 hours to unzip the archive!!! :steamfacepalm: I waited 3 hours, then had to leave my PC.
For the moment, modding on Soulmask seems quite permissive, especially in terms of mode collaboration and even simply to create new content. You can replace what already exists, but you can't add to what already exists (from what I understand).
But anyway, that's not the topic, to continue this conversation, it will be on my Discord when I'm back. Thanks for understanding
MothraGames 27 Aug, 2024 @ 8:33am
Such great mods- do you have any plans on porting them to the SoulMask workshop once that comes online?
Asghaard  [author] 24 Aug, 2024 @ 10:45am
Sorry; I'm on vacation at the moment, so not possible.
I'll be back in September.
~Progenitor~ 10 Aug, 2024 @ 2:11am
update the mod please
kimbeshe 4 Aug, 2024 @ 3:32pm
you were before Funcom's time. they just followed your lead. I can't wait to see what you do next. Awesome you are! :steamhappy:
Asghaard  [author] 28 Jul, 2024 @ 3:29am
Hi. When I created the curved elements (walls, stairs), they didn't exist in Funcom game (the Turanian pack hadn't been released yet) , so I had to create my own system for attaching curved elements to cubic elements without reference.
Obviously, with 3D placement and collisions, it's not easy to get the right point "magnetized" to the right place.
But recently, I've been able to review how it works, but I haven't yet applied it to my Desrt Town mod.
That'll come at some point ;-)
Jack Niggleson 27 Jul, 2024 @ 1:49pm
This is a great mod but it could use a bit of polish. Those spiral staircases are a really elegant solution for building on clifftops but boy are they really really really hard to place. You can spend 10 IRL minutes at a time jiggling them around trying to get them to connect to each other and sometimes they just refuse to work at all. There has to be some way of getting them to snap together easier.
AlduinTWE 6 Jul, 2024 @ 5:37pm
Nice, it'll go perfect with my Turanian build then! Much appreciated. I can't wit to see what else you've got in store! :)
Asghaard  [author] 6 Jul, 2024 @ 4:32pm
Thank you. Compliments like that always make me really happy. I'll see about changing the "stygian" mention in a future update.
AlduinTWE 5 Jul, 2024 @ 11:38pm
This mod is amazing, thank you so much for all of your hard work! I do sort of wish that some of the items had no "Stygian" label though. I like the more ambiguous "Desert" tag alone, as I feel Stygia has a big enough presence in the game already, considering the masterminds behind the bracelets, purge and the exiled lands themselves.
PunkinFarmer 17 May, 2024 @ 11:26am
Hands down my favorite building mod in all my thousands of hours of Conan-- the only one I can't play without!
ChinaR03 7 May, 2024 @ 12:16am
added this to 2 of my servers, this is a well made building set, the texturing of the peices is really good and they fit together well, with several choices of materials, it does need a couple more roof parts, like corners for example, but it's still an excellent mod, so much so players are rebuilding with it, keep up the great mod,
Aquarius 17 Apr, 2024 @ 1:51am
Thank for you this building set, lots and lots of great pieces to work with, especially nice trim pieces. Excellent work!
Dr.B.Banzai 2 Apr, 2024 @ 12:21pm
confirmed it is working, thank you for the prompt response :)
Wyrd 2 Apr, 2024 @ 9:50am
Thank you for the quick update!
Asghaard  [author] 2 Apr, 2024 @ 9:40am
Sorry for the problems,
I've been working on the mod for a while to modify the content, but Chapter 4 arrived and I didn't finish my modifications.
As I wasn't ready, I had to deactivate most of the new elements and forgot to delete some of them, which resulted in incomplete links and missing paths.
It's never easy to deactivate content that's functional but not finished.
So I had to work with 2 different versions of the mod, a publishable version, and an unpublished one that contained a lot of modifications.

Normally, with the update I just did, it should be ok
Scheherazade 2 Apr, 2024 @ 8:18am
I can confirm that i am getting the same errors, and have had to temporarily remove the mod from my server to get the server to function. I hope this gets updated soon as it is the best building mod around
Wyrd 2 Apr, 2024 @ 7:52am
Yup, getting at least the one error that causing a crash;

Love your mod and used it constantly in game and server, but seems some kind of conflict with chapter 4, had to remove it to get a new game to start hopefully this wonderful mod can be updated for the next chapter
Wolveskin6116 17 Feb, 2024 @ 5:22am
Your mods are some of my favorites to work with. You truly do incredible work. I've used this mod, in particular for quite a long time. It was great to start with, but has only improved over time. Again, great work. Thank you for that great work. My best builds could not have been made without it. 🙏
Fenrir 1980 15 Feb, 2024 @ 9:04am
Your mod is great
Asghaard  [author] 12 Feb, 2024 @ 2:36pm
No need at this time and anyway, I've started updating and it's a work in progress, so it wouldn't be consistent.
In particular, I'm reviewing the height of the walls (the start of the bottom) and the rounding of the sides of the walls, which will be more like bevels.
MadMickeySoldat 12 Feb, 2024 @ 9:21am
u need to upgrade ^^
Asghaard  [author] 22 Jan, 2024 @ 2:44pm
Thank you both for your words.
If you join my Discord, then you'll see that I'm working on a new construction mod that will be even more accomplished.
I'll then update Desert Town with the new elements I'm working on.
catsarebetter 22 Jan, 2024 @ 4:10am
Just out of intrest:
Are you going to update the Mod @Asghaard?
I am currently building a big castle and the building-parts of your mod fit right in - i always liked your mod and used it a lot. I don't want to put pressure on your head, i just want to know if i will have to build without your genius building-parts.
rolanarts 17 Jan, 2024 @ 6:12am
Thanks for making this mod. I've been playing for 3 years and always look at this mod and thought I dint need it, "I got enough sandstone" I said. After finally deciding to try it it was jaw drooping. This mod is the best build mod I've seen. I can combine it with everything in game, specially the nemedian set which is my favorite. This is a dream come true for me. It surpass any DLC build set in my opinion.
Asghaard  [author] 17 Jan, 2024 @ 4:46am
I didn't update the mod since decembre 14 (due to a major game update)
