Dont worry about that you wrote so much XD, i did the same thing

Thank you for the advice, i know my character has flaws and i will try my best to fix them. First off, I definitely should buff his doublejump or change his fall speed. Secondly, I agree somewhat about the hitboxes, some moves are indeed extensive on the amount they have like aerial Neutral B, but i think U-air's hitboxes make sense. He has a sour spot behind him (which i think is fine) but i dont quite know what you mean by 2 sour spots, the one above him (although not that strong) isn't bad by any means. So in my eyes, it has a sweet spot (the tip) a neutral hitbox (above him) and a sour spot (behind him). But i suppose i can switch things around. Third of all, I intentionally made some moves have very little knockback growth to allow for late percent confirms. His fair has very low knockback in hopes to lead into an uair, nair, aerial fspecial, etc. at high percents since otherwise he doesnt have many good kill options.

Sorry for splitting it up into three comments. I didnt realize how much I wrote.

-Thirdly, some moves lack knockback growth. There are some moves in his kit that dont deal adequite knockback compared to the opponents percent, most notably forwaird air. Forward air deals about the same amount of knockback regardless of the opponents percent. Keep in mind, you have to be careful when altering the knockback growth for some of these moves. You dont want to do things like drastically decrease the combat potential of forwaird air, which may be prevented by also increasing the hitstun growth.

Lastly I just want to make it clear that I only bring good intentions. I only criticise with the intention of helping improve this character. I apologize in advance for any facts I might have gotten wrong or for any mistakes I may have made.

Keep up the good work :)

-Secondly, too many moves have multiple hitboxes. I am not talking about multihits, but rather when different areas off a hitbox deals different amount of damage, most frequently reffered to as a "sweet spot" and a "sour spot". Up air alone has three different sweet/sour spots. Now, sweet/sour spots usually provide a character with more depth, but I would argue that too many sweet/sour spots makes it a bit confusing and incosistent. Now Im not saying to remove sweet/sour spots entirely, only to reduce the total number. 1. example: Up air has a really cool sweet spot, but also has two sour spots. It only needs one sour spot. 2. example: Aerial neutral B doesnt need any of these sweet/sour spots, they only make the move less consistent.

This is such a good character. I love it. Despite some flaws, this character shines as a really fun character.
Now, I want to adress two of its more pressing issues:

-First, his fallspeed is ridiculous. You have to frequently jump in order to not plummet down into the blastzone. It has been the cause of countless SDs. For a character that excels in the air this just seems wrong.

Here you go Dopefish

Monkeese is a crossbreed between a monkey and a bat. He is shooting a clump of vines as his neutral b (Thats why it wraps). He does not talk since he doesnt have human vocal cords but he can shriek to sense whats around him.

Some other things are that he is part of the earth grouping as seen from his side-b and i guess down-b, and his "home" map is one i created a while back called rainforest hideout.

If you want to suggest some other lore bits then be my guest

heyyy please give us... Monkeese Lore...

Is he shooting tumbleweed? Does he talk? Is he voiced by Patrick Stewart?

also make him heavier, he should not be lighter then wrastor
Disaga 20 May, 2020 @ 1:42pm
The only other problems i can find rn are that there's no limit on d-special so you can keep placing them until the games lags and grounded s-special doesn't put him into parry-stun if parried

Your character has alot of promise, but they seem really overtuned. If you want to make them balanced, you should probably make it so their projectiles (Neutral B and Down B) are not tracendant, as well as possibly giving Dash Attack more startup.

How did this character not get recognized earlier? this character is super fucking sick
Succ 19 May, 2020 @ 10:01pm
Yo, are you in the extended workshop server?
Disaga 19 May, 2020 @ 9:57pm
