can u make it so u can add points to selected dinos bc i dont want to go into each of my dinos inv and level them so basically i want u to make it so i can mass level

Is it auto set to be alt+f? last time i went into ini i bricked my game so i really would want it to just be alt+f, which seems to be the "default"

Seems not to work right on my server (358.7). The Game is in German language.
I noticed, that I can spend points on melee but the don't get show in the inventory menu of the creature. In german it's Nahkampfschaden.

Then you followed incorrectly. The method I use here for hotkeys, while extremely responsive in game, is fraught with user errors when setting it up. As such, I no longer do it this way, but there's nothing I can tell you that will help you set the hotkey that isnt already written down.

Awww dude I've been lookin for somethin like this! In my worlds my dinos would get their max levels when they were cryopoded (once my character reached level 100. the idea is that tames often times dont get to see so much as half of their levels gained before they get killed on an adventure. so i wanted to me use of every level they could gain) So if im breeding rex's for bosses and i hatch 10 at a time. I'd have to click the button 880 times. A bit excessive and could wear down a mouse's durability if its not a quality type. This seems very much like my style love it to bits

By the way, a great idea for a mod. Would have been clutch for leveling large quantities of dinos like I was doing.

Mods = Structures+, ultra stacks, awesome spyglass, Dino Storage V2. Dino's were all rex mutated up to lvl 306 base. I dropped 10 levels into health, 1 into stam, and one into weight as they gained additional levels (Using your mod) All was well in the world, until today when I logged in. The levels were still at 318. But the stats had all dropped back down to their base levels. At one point last night I noticed the stam was doing something weird as well. Stam still showed it was at base stam, but the updated amount of stam was there. Stated like 2000/800. As in 2000 out of 800 available. Which is odd. We also have the Health and stam boosted for our server.

@wplash420 This is exactly why I don't use this method for user hotkeys anymore. Works perfectly, but there's an army of circumstances that cause issues for users.

As for the stats, is it repeatable? Modded dinos? Mods? I never had an issue even remotely close to what you describe.

Tried this mod. Although a bit tricky to set up. Whitespacekilla nailed it. You have to generate the enumerated list by changing your actionmappings fisrt. Then add the leveling assistant mod. My issue is, after using it to level some dinos, I came back the next day and all the stats were back to base level. Dino levels were still up from the points applied. But the stats all went back down. Frustrating.

In case that was so terse it came off the wrong way, I am sympathetic that an update changed the way it works in a way that impacts fresh installs. It doesn't make ANY sense to me that the Ark devs did this but... that's par for the course in Ark development.

@Quellcrest unfortunately, that's not the issue. If your directions are followed, particularly the direction about adding a new section if the section doesn't exist, Ark controls will cease functioning. One of the updates introduced pretty nonsensical default ini behavior where there are 2 states:

- Default, no ActionMappings state
- Custom, every ActionMapping is enumerated state

So, if you add JUST your actionmapping, control will break. The workaround is to make a small edit to the actionmappings (even if you manually go back to original controls, you CANNOT hit the revert button, though). This will generate the enumerated list of ActionMapping in your input.ini. Now you can safely add the Levelling Assitant ActionMapping.

Your instructions will currently lead anyone with a fresh install of Ark to configure their controls to not work.

@Brujitorey Aside from installing the mod, servers have to do nothing.
For clients, I'm not sure when the correct header is created. I assumed upon launching ark the first time? Find or create this header and then stick the line below it:

ie:

Hello, I tried adding this mod to my server. I downloaded it onto the server. When I open the input.ini file there is no list of "action mapping" commands. I've tried pasting the line at the top and below the two sections inside. I've also tried adding the line to the server's input.ini file and nothing gets it to work. Could I get a little more detail on how to get this working specifically for a dedicated server?

I basically did the same thing, even tried with genesis dinos, 88 levels. Maybe it's related to how XP Kibble gives Xp? I used the admin cheat codes to give XP though. GiveExpToTarget

i tested this in SP with an unmodded force tamed Procoptodon. i force fed it an item from "XP Kibble" which applies enough level to set it to maxiumum EXP and granting all 88 levels. The Dino Levelling Assistant reads 0 available points, but when i click on any stat 100 points are applied.

I really Like the Mod. But when a dino got all its 88 Level ups, the assistant applies 100 Levels instead of 88.

Actually, the issue was me (as I suspected)-- I didn't read the default input mapping line correctly, and didn't realize it has a modifier key (alt). It works perfectly in singleplayer now! Thank you for the very usefull QoL mod.

There might be a little bug where you need to respawn(or fast travel) in singleplayer in order to get it working first. I can't remember if I uploaded before fixing that or not.

Also, the hotkey might matter. No idea if any/all possible combinations work(ctrl + shift + alt + F7, for example, might not work).

I'll be uploading again with some improvements, in the near future.

Does this work in singleplayer? I've copied the action mapping into the input.ini, and have tested it on new characters with no other mods. I can't get it to work unfortunately.

Now the only thing missing is the possibility that you can skill a dino and transfer the same skill to near dinosaurs while it is still alive :)

But this is also good for cards like Extinction after you have made an OSD. :steamhappy:
