I like to come up with little stories for my patients and this mod makes it so much more fun.

@Labra Thank you.
Labra 18 Dec, 2021 @ 10:51am
Yes, mods don't block achievements in this game.
hottt3 17 Dec, 2021 @ 11:34pm
Can I still get achievements after installing this mod?
neoxes 18 Oct, 2020 @ 11:04am
It's just the name in the homepage
malbonius  [author] 15 Oct, 2020 @ 2:16am

Hi~I translated the job list into the simplified Chinese. In English there are some jobs which have different names for female and male. In Chinese it sounds a little bit wired,so I translated them into the same words.
Labra 1 Jun, 2020 @ 9:35am
Yeah, I figured as much. More job customization would be pretty neat, but I guess that's a pretty low priority for the devs considering the changes are, in essence, purely cosmetic and don't really affect gameplay in any significant way. Still, German usually allows for gendered nouns to be written in a way that includes both female and male forms, eg. baker would be Bäcker (male) and Bäckerin (female), but can be written as Bäker/in. It's arguably a bit more clunky than if it was separated, but it certainly would be an option.
malbonius  [author] 1 Jun, 2020 @ 1:12am
I wish we had more control over patient generation in general as I would also like to implement a way of controlling the percentage chance of each job appearing and I would possibly be able to add a way of keeping a single percentage chance for each gender, then use the relevant gandered occupation name depending on which gender was generated. I've had a poke around the files we have access to and it's hard-coded which is a shame.
malbonius  [author] 1 Jun, 2020 @ 1:07am
@neoxes, labra I completely understand and I knew of this issue as soon as the first translation came in. Unfortunately, the file that determines gender percentage is (and must be) shared across all languages and so only 1 of that file can exist. This means that to separate the gender names I would have to create both a male and female exclusive version of each occupation that needs it in the localised files. The problem then would be that for all occupations it would be impossible to add a percentage chance, other than 100%. (100% for the male chance, 100% for the female chance) and doubling the existing amount of code.
Labra 31 May, 2020 @ 12:01pm
Same thing in German. Alternatively, if differentiating isn't possible, they can usually also be written to include both female and male terms. If you need either of those just let me know and I'll go over the list.
neoxes 31 May, 2020 @ 9:40am
Hello @malbonius. In Italy we have different names for female and male workers whithin the same job. I tried to be the more neutral I could be, but it's not so easy. Can you differentiate sex percentages based on language? In this case a can do a more precise translation.
malbonius  [author] 30 May, 2020 @ 12:11am
done, the new retirement age only seems to take effect after a couple of in-game days on an existing save. If anyone encounters any issue with this please let me know (not sure how far-reaching the consequences are of modifying the age categories)
Damn3d 28 May, 2020 @ 3:23am
Hi.
Can you add the possibility to have the "Retreat" Job for everyone who have 65+ years old ?

It will be more realistic :)

malbonius  [author] 18 May, 2020 @ 7:38am
@raistlin46 post the translations in the pinned job list discussion and I'll delete your post once I've added them (to keep the section clean)
raistlin46 18 May, 2020 @ 7:31am

malbonius  [author] 18 May, 2020 @ 7:30am

raistlin46 18 May, 2020 @ 3:27am
thank you very much. I had been trying for some time without success, but then you came ... well, very well ...
if I provided you with the translation for Italian, could you insert it?
malbonius  [author] 17 May, 2020 @ 8:05am
Added the missing jobs!
malbonius  [author] 17 May, 2020 @ 7:42am
I've added the current list in the discussions, and there are only 4 non-duplicates (Coroner, Statistician, Judge, Masseur). Also, the total number is 163, I can't count apparently
malbonius  [author] 17 May, 2020 @ 6:47am
I had no idea that mod existed, not sure how I missed it actually. In any case, they should be fully compatible as my mod only adds to the existing occupations, and doesn't overwrite the original, though there may be duplicates (resulting in a higher potential instance of the copies).
