@Sopel Bad news, looked like I just had to add a piece of code and the seed bag.png (I made the asset even) but patching the seedplease code into defs like i would normally do doesn't work and adding the seedsplease! code directly throws an exception if you're not running seedspleases!

I really thought i was doing the patch wrong but after looking at a bunch of other mods i see other authors support their plants through separate releases that require seedsplease! + plant as a dependency.

I don't want to release a separate workshop mod for each of my plants that'll just be 1 64x64 .png of a seed pack (since all plants have at least basic support with base seedsplease! it's wouldn't be doing anything other than the picture). Especially since most of those seedplease support mods only have like ~50~ users.

Sorry if i got your hopes up, if i release more plants in the future and reach somesort of critical mass maybe i'll do a 1 big seed bundle then.

@sopel I just asked the seeds please modboss to directly add these seeds to their mod. If they say No i'll make one myself but either way check back in a few hours/day or 2 and you'll have your seeds.

btw discord has an "edit" feature with some dots that you can always edit something if you make a mistake. it has its pros and cons but so does everything :)

Lol, yeah edits and deleting and reposting. The only thing not supported is carrier pigeons, but that should be coming in a future update.

I don't actually use discord or like live chatting as a personal thing; I have bad brain for grammar/replacing words randomly. I can read a thing i write a dozen times over and my brain usually auto corrects my mistakes until i hit post, then the change in setting of posted vs non posted makes the mistakes instantly pop out, it's very frustrating and the cushion of editing really helps me.

Maybe i'll make some sort of blog (I have a general "talk to me" thread on my alenrace workshop. Might be an idea to make one for all my items).

I 100% do design for camera+ in mind though, as some of the previews are shot using it. Designing on a bigger scale might be an idea since angles are really unforgiving at pixel art scales and take a lot of fiddling, feels pretty time consuming to me. That said the airbrush tool really helped speed things up this time around so maybe i should keep on refining my tiny style.

What I do is create a 2048x2048 artboard or canvas size. do a draw or paint or whatever. Then export and set it to 256 (or 512 for really big sprites.) Camera+ lets one zoom in quite a lot.

If you join Rimworld's discord it would be easier to talk! Please, there's 17k people and all of the biggest modders are there. If you know that already then oops. my b.

I find leaving them at x64 causes the game to mess with the texture and distort pixels in ugly ways (or at least i did back when i made my first mod in 1.0)

I make them at x64 and blow them up to x256 by resampling nearest neighbor. My art experience is pretty much all pixel art and funny photoshops (This is literally the first item i've made using the airbrush tool at all).

I, too, love watermelons. Yum. I would suggest designing your graphics in a much larger file. This way you can export them into a smaller size for the game, but keep bigger versions for descriptions and showcases.

In case there's confusion here i want to specify "raw" is me using the same label conventions as berries do for their UI label and then me using that UI label as part of my code side item def. It's not indicating an extra level of raw when compared to berries. I'm afraid something might be lost in translation here; Hopefully thats not the case.

I'm not sure if "- add raw description for RAW_WATERMELON_RESOURCE_DEF.label" means you're asking me to do something specific or just telling me what you did because what i'm going to do it merge what you did on github, DL that, boot my steam rimworld and upload that directly.

@proxyer Okay got it all in order, i think, and put something that hopefully says "Japanese translations by Proxyer" in the description. Thanks for the translation and enjoy the watermelon.

If you happen to work your way over to my pumpkins i updated the github description just now ahead of the workshop release so please work off that (If you do, I don't mean to put you on the spot, i just thought to make sure in case you were doing the pumpkins right now by yourself)
