The SKS was an small version of this system essentially, with the idea of being able to use it as a regular gun. A PTRS isn't practical for anything that's not shooting at vehicles, since it's too heavy and big.

This gun is the grandfather of the SKS? While the SKS is not a bad gun, I really like it. That is quite the downgrade from an Anti-Tank Rifle.

If you put a scope on this, it'll break due to the power of the round. In real life they tested them but they didn't stay on zero and they ended up ditching the idea

Oh, now THIS is a rifle. Small problem I have with it is that the firing sound lags behind the actual trigger pull by enough to irritate me, but everything else about it is *amazing.*
