I am no expert, but it looks like this will probably still work in 1.5 as the mod simply just "remove"s the def "FoodPoisonable" ... so unless that has changed in 1.5, theoretically the patch should still hold true:

having cook trainees=ur colonists go ham and kill each other-.- lets spoil an entire stack of meals with one thats bad. it doesnt even make sense, in real life you´d have to be really trying to poison someone with cooked food, theres no fugu fish in rimworld how do they manage to cook as bad? same logic as chopping both of somebodies ears off while trying to clip their toenail

Hey there! I'm playing on 1.3 with this mod (and many, many others, too many to list) installed. I had a couple people out on a caravan, and pemmican kept giving one of my guys food poisoning because of an "incompetent cook." Not sure what's going wrong here.

I just published an update that should fix this mod now. Sorry for the wait folks, I haven't been playing Rimworld in a while!

I fixed this mod to work with the later versions of 1.3. If OP ever fixes compatibility I will take mine down. Currently it only works in build 1.3.3200 or later. I may fix this as learn to make mods.

Mod seems abandoned, should not have been updated to 1.3 if it is not compatable, ran just it and still get the load error. Shame too because rimworld's food poisoning system sucks.

After the 1st december update this mod stopped to work for me. I'm sick of this stupid mechanic, even with the room clean the pawns keep getting sick from food poisoning... Some mechanics of this game are so stupid, this is one of them...

After today's update I'm getting this:

There is more in the verbose log but I can't fit it in here.
Also @kissykaede, yes. In game, under CUSTOM difficulty storyteller settings, you can edit food poisoning chance to make it just never happen. It sucks because I'd like to have food poisoning but absolutely NOT as it has been implemented. It is worse than any other disease or ailment in the game imo.

I **REALLY** did not want to resort to using a mod like this. But with the way stacks work in this game, that your pawns will idiotically pile good food on a stack of food that HALF THE COLONY GOT SICK FROM, has pushed me to viewing a mod like this as essential. Even toggling a stack to "Not Allowed", the absolute potatobrains will still stack food on the poisoned stack!!!

Food poisoning in Rimworld is just horribly implemented. Great concept, absolute horrid implementation.

No idea why the hell food poisoning is so damn common in this game. Its not that hard to cook food to where it doesnt give you explosive diarrhea and projectile vomiting

Second on 1.3. This mod avoids that annoying "incompetent cook" poisoning notification when my only cook is rank 15 in cooking.

I prefer starting out naked brutality, and it KILLS me when my pawn ( with five plants skill) gets food poisoning from a berry. I'm 25 years old, never had an issue with food poisoning, from anything I or someone else cooked. And yes, I have cats in my kitchen.

Excessive food poisoning is just another one of Rimworld's "Trolling Mechanics" that make no sense. I just boiled a pot of rice I took from the fridge and it makes me sick... three times a week? Ridiculous.

That's a really good idea!
It's completely sick when you have frost ingridients, sterile tiles, and 15+ cooking skill, but get people poisoned over and over again :\

As someone who has an okay cooking skill, used fresh ingredients, but is still shitting fire currently I find this mod very unrealistic.
Still might use.
