You can have a ship sit on the ground with its dampeners off and it will be fine; but I recommend using the merge blocks on the bottom and connect it to a platform on the ground.
Also, is there no landing gear? How am i supposed to land?
@Grinchcrafter the mk2 was the one used as the 'Shadow Carrier'
@Vanlabyrinth The first two worked very well but lacked features compared to this version, I've already listed new features thats been added to the Mk3.
@hyliankirbyyt it could be possible, merge blocks and the connector make for an easy solid connection to a base platform with additional facilities for say production or storage!
Amazing design, nonetheless!
