Works on it's own and with the ~100Mods I use, so I expect the people experiencing crashes used BBG (according to some comments here) or a similar incompatible Mod

It took forever to pinpoint, but this started crashing when being used with BBG. Funny thing is that it worked with it for a while, and then didn't, and I don't know how that can happen or what changed.

For anyone who, on starting a new game, gets a Failure to Load Mod error, verify if you have the Mayan/Colombian DLC pack. That would be the issue.

Got "Error Starting Game. There was an error starting the game. We recommend disabling any mods and trying again. Error - One or more Mods failed to load content." When I disabled this mod, it worked again.

After reading Laurana Kana's comment here and the rest of them leading up to it, can we assume that this was fixed by Firaxis (and we don't need to write in LK's fix) and this badass mod now works as intended?

Is there any chance of this mod getting updated ever again? Or a chance for someone else to fork it? Be nice if it were able to play nice with things like BBG or whatever is preventing it from working now.

mod has been crashing lately, getting this error message

Can't start a game rn with this on, fails to load. Any way to get it to work with a regular GS ruleset match? I think this causes it to fail to load according to logs: "ERROR: Invalid Reference on GoodyHuts.ImprovementType - "IMPROVEMENT_METEOR_GOODY" does not exist in Improvements"

Yep, they locked meteors, forest fires, and jungle fires to Apocalypse Mode. They didn't say anything about it, so part of me thinks it was a mistake on their end.

Oh. Did they said anything about locking meteors and forest fires only to Apocalypse Mode too? Seems like forest fires too are going bonkers not appearing at all in normal games.

This mod is 100% working fine.

The Ethiopia update for some reason made it so that meteors are locked to apocalypse mode. That's why you aren't seeing any.

At least to report it, this mod in particular is causing errors upon starting a game. There was an error in the database log that said the goody_hut_meteor was not found, or something of the like, I cannot remember exactly what it said. I just know that disabling this mod fixed my problem.

Any thoughts on adding all these extras to normal goody huts? A Gooder Goody Huts mod? And then instead of an instant reward at the meteor site a goody hut appears 5-10 turns later (locals rushing to find what they can, forming a small village there).

I will have to say, the mod is really great. Its a great addition to the Apocalypse mode.
Even tho I have to say I would really like a Mod to spice up the disaster, to maybe start it way earlier, make it more distructable or sorta Dynamic until certian DOOM, is something like that in Work somewere?

It's working fine. You've got another issue, perhaps a different mod. Also make sure you have the required DLC.

@weregamer - definitely. Meteors are pretty rare and the prospect of a heavy cavalry unit just wasn't exciting to me.

This looks great. I was really disappointed that the "powerful unit" was always heavy cavalry, which I consider the worst unit class in the game, especially early on (heavy chariots are a waste of maintenance).

Neat idea, is it possible to disable certain bonuses? To me, certain things seem more appropriate such as a tech inspiration or random tech or gold but things like free unit not so much?

@fanboy - Yes, any time the game grants a free Builder/Settler/Trader from anywhere, it does increase the cost of the next one you build.
