Thanks! Glad it helped you find the answer! :)
ArmoredAmpharos 6. juli kl. 20:41
I appreciate this mod, and that you have in depth changelogs. By looking through your changelogs I was able to figure out what I was doing wrong with my own race(a pack animal I made for them refusing to ever spawn in the caravans). Thank you very much.

Also I love the bun dogs. Very cute.

Buns are baseliners. Baseline Buns. :)

They use the older Humanoid Alien Races framework, not the newer biotech xenotype framework, so they don't get their traits from genes.

I've made a few attempts to adapt them to use genes, but I haven't really been able to figure it out in a way that works (and isn't more of a pita than I want to deal with.)
MrGarretto 25. maj kl. 12:52
I'm not sure if there are known mod conflicts or if this mod just replaces the baseliner race entirely but the bun race doesn't seem to show up at all. I'm assuming this is like a hussar/neanderthal etc option. Everything else seems to show up and work normally but things like the bun factions just have baseliners. The added bun factions seem to look fine when they attack, they look like the buns in these pics but they say they're baseliners.

somebody knows mod texture quality improvement for this race? like higher resolution
Spanky_H  [ophavsmand] 28. apr. kl. 11:13
No worries! Glad it sorted itself out. :)
LukieDukes 28. apr. kl. 5:58
oh it appeared after i reloaded the game so odd it didnt have it right after the operation sry to waste your time lol
LukieDukes 28. apr. kl. 5:49
still missing an ear visually with the cochlear implant i tried bionic as well no luck ty for the reply tho its just cosmetic so I guess it isnt that big of a deal
Spanky_H  [ophavsmand] 27. apr. kl. 18:01
There should be. Any regular ear replacement should work. I believe the prosthetic ear is called the 'Cochlear implant'. :)
LukieDukes 27. apr. kl. 16:42
hi love the mod just a quick question is there a prosthetics ears for when our bunny friends meets a bug infestation and happens to lose their ear? Im checking my machining table and dont see any and was looking threw the research as well
Oburi 24. apr. kl. 21:09
thanks for the answer! I'm gonna check
Spanky_H  [ophavsmand] 24. apr. kl. 12:59
Unfortunately I don't use facial animation mods, so I really have no idea. Might have better luck asking over there. :/
Oburi 24. apr. kl. 8:27
is there a way to force facial animation head type into the bun race? mostly cause the bun race head size seems too big in comparison
Spanky_H  [ophavsmand] 1. apr. kl. 18:53
all surgery or specific operations?
Alex 29. mar. kl. 10:06
I have a problem where pawns from this mod do not allow surgery. I have a long list of mods so I am sure it is some sort of conflict. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Okay so Rimsort's suggested modlist apparently fixed this issue but I'm not sure what happened to begin with??? I'll figure this out later. I was using a Rimsort sorted modlist with only minor variations to begin with but I guess whatever was causing the issue just needed to have its load order readjusted.
Spanky_H  [ophavsmand] 2. feb. kl. 14:25
Oof, keep me posted, that sounds wild
BacC0rCr1H4lP3n777 2. feb. kl. 13:27
I really should just wait to add these all into one comment, so might delete and reformat my chain later just so it's not just a wall. Anyways using debug actions to spawn a bun colonist did not create an invisible bun. I unfortunately do not know how to spawn a bun of any other faction.
BacC0rCr1H4lP3n777 2. feb. kl. 13:25
Amendment to my first comment: On the old save that I was in the middle of before this issue occurred, just about ANY bun that was not in my colony ceased having a body.

That being said, I made a new run, and when an invisible bun from a hostile faction showed up, I use CE to 'replace pawn with new random pawn of same race', which also automatically recruits them, but now they have a body. Nothing should change by doing so, but I had to check, and using CE to reassign the newly regenerated bun to another faction did not make them invisible again.
BacC0rCr1H4lP3n777 2. feb. kl. 13:16
I should specify too that this happened midsave and I hadn't made any changes to the modlist directly prior to this issue as far as I'm aware. So I think a mod just updated and broke everything.
BacC0rCr1H4lP3n777 2. feb. kl. 13:04
Yo so uh, I just had an issue where any NEWLY generated buns just don't have any bodies/skin, just fur, hair, and ears. I see a little bit of what I presume are the eye textures. Any bun colonists (both in my own colony and those previously generated in other factions) still look normal, but I am probably gonna have to wiggle mods around until something snaps into place. As far as I know, nothing in the devlog is freaking out about pawn generation/drawing whenever these partially invisible buns appear in the map.
Spanky_H  [ophavsmand] 28. jan. kl. 16:34
Ok the empty eyes thing should be fixed now. There is some weird behavior with hair/ear colors not matching up sometimes, but I think this is a HAR issue. Regardless it should resolve itself when you load the game.

Let me know if you see anything else weird!
Spanky_H  [ophavsmand] 21. jan. kl. 18:34
I'll take a look
DigitalHare 21. jan. kl. 13:25
Since I can't edit the post, I apologize for the double comment. https://i.imgur.com/wf4JM5T.png Seems it's more than just the South heads like I initially thought, though Character Editor shows it fine. Even paring it further.. Only Harmony, HAR, Bun and Character Editor, the masking issue remains. I've resubscribed and forced a redownload. I need to learn all the changes from 1.5 on, so I can't really help figure it out yet.
DigitalHare 21. jan. kl. 12:49
Having an interesting issue that I was trying to patch myself, but not something I'd be able to figure out immediately, so reporting it in general. Even trying with a bare list of mods (Buns, character editor, vanilla armour and altered carbon 2). Seems to be some layering issues on clothing with certain heads. It shows the armor neck area and things below it through the eyes https://i.imgur.com/ArdC7C0.png A masking issue?
Spanky_H  [ophavsmand] 14. jan. kl. 17:12
Hmm, it is possible something changed in HAR that I didn't keep up with. And I wouldn't catch an issue like that with most of my testing since I haven't been playing rimworld much for a while. I'll check it out and see if I can catch something.

Thanks!
Uncle Nanny 14. jan. kl. 14:36
I've tested my save file turning off groups of other mods for the past couple hours, and it only goes away when I turn this mod off. Couldn't test it with every mod turned off as some mods are needed to load the game without crashing, but this mod (or some interaction of this mod with HAR possibly) seems to be causing the problem. Since this doesn't seem to be a widespread issue, and something not easily reproduced, I don't expect a fix for it. Mostly just sharing here in case others experience a similar issue.
Uncle Nanny 14. jan. kl. 11:55
I didn't have the problem when I had HAR on the mod list, but not this mod. There is a strong possibility that this mod is conflicting with another mod, but without a lot more testing, it's impossible to know for sure. As it stands, I know that when I removed this mod and no other mods, the problem went away. If I have a chance to test it further with other mods, and find a conflict, I'll post it here.
Spanky_H  [ophavsmand] 14. jan. kl. 11:48
Buns don't do *anything* with traits, so I have no idea how this would be causing it. It's more likely to be something to do with HAR itself. :/
Uncle Nanny 14. jan. kl. 11:46
I have a bug where every time I load a save, some of my pawns get 1-2 traits that they shouldn't have. Deleting the traits using character editor, saving, then reloading the save causes the traits to come back. It's always the same pawns, with the same traits.

After testing running the game with a handful of mods disabled, I narrowed it down to this mod. Not the biggest problem, but thought I'd mention it here. This is the last HAR based mod I still have in my mod list, and will probably remove it on the next new game to help reduce potential conflicts with 1.5.
Spanky_H  [ophavsmand] 8. jan. kl. 13:35
lol, sorry for taking so long xD
Subtle Shift in Emphasis 7. jan. kl. 22:24
It looks fixed! Thank you so much. This game is practically unplayable for me without Bun Race now lol
Spanky_H  [ophavsmand] 7. jan. kl. 20:06
Ok, it should be fixed. Turns out it was a conflict between the way 1.5 does hair color with genes and HAR color channels. I just disabled the color channels so it should look right now. Let me know if you run into any other issues :)
Spanky_H  [ophavsmand] 7. jan. kl. 19:46
Huh. Well I was about to say 'oh I can't reproduce it' but then I did. Seems to only affect new colonists that are generated in the scenario start. Spawning them directly from the debug menu seems to work fine.

Might take a bit to figure out, but I'll work on it!
Subtle Shift in Emphasis 7. jan. kl. 19:21
Prepare Carefully isn't the root cause. I've tested with only HAR and Bun Race enabled, no other mods at all, and the issue is still there. New game, default crashed buns scenario, buns still spawning with ears mismatching their hair colours.

TheFoxQueen 6. jan. kl. 19:05
OH! Thank you, I feel a little silly now haha;;
Spanky_H  [ophavsmand] 6. jan. kl. 15:05
your 'starting race' is based off of the scenario. You should be able to start as Bun's with one of the bun-specific scenarios (Crashed Buns, Lost BunTribe, Naked Buntality, or BunTribe Exile) or you can edit a different scenario to use buns as the faction instead of whatever else it is (player faction -> New Bun Arrivals or New Bun Tribe).
TheFoxQueen 5. jan. kl. 14:42
I can't choose the race when I start a new colony, I know the factions have spawned and other things are working, but I can't make my own pawns bunnies :c
Spanky_H  [ophavsmand] 2. jan. kl. 14:30
Oh yea, didn't notice prepare carefully. Something about how it works doesn't change the hair color correctly to make the ears update.

I did double check and was able to spawn several dozen Buns without any mismatching colors, so there's something weird going on with a mod conflict or something. :/
Aria~ムキ 2. jan. kl. 7:18
Use Character Editor, Prepare Carefully often causes alot of issues on pawns and save file
Subtle Shift in Emphasis 31. dec. 2024 kl. 21:47
I'm having an issue where my Bun's ear colour isn't matching their hair colour, and can't be adjusted in Prepare Carefully. I've tested with only HAR and Bun Race enabled and the issue persists!
Is this a known issue and are there any fixes? It's really jarring to have randomly generated buns with mismatched colours
Spanky_H  [ophavsmand] 9. dec. 2024 kl. 13:13
Happy to help to the limited extent I can. At the very least if you narrow it down to a particular mod let me know and I'll see if there's anything I can do to make it more compatible. :)
Kev 9. dec. 2024 kl. 11:18
hahaha lots, next time they come over I'll have a scour through to see if shows anything, it's certainly a conflict somewhere, hopefully I(we?) can source it for a fix.

Current Active Mod List [jpst.it]
Spanky_H  [ophavsmand] 9. dec. 2024 kl. 10:46
Hmmmmm, that's got to be some kind of conflict... I'll double check, but I'm pretty sure I would have noticed that in my own testing xD

Do you get anything in your error log?
Kev 8. dec. 2024 kl. 13:37
Males ... Male Buns don't have bodies in my game
Spanky_H  [ophavsmand] 8. dec. 2024 kl. 9:19
Hm, could be a missing texture or something. Buns all technically use the female body type, though usually a missing texture should show up as a pink square...

Let me know if you see it again!
Kev 8. dec. 2024 kl. 8:32
379 active mods atm but no body mods lol, there also wasn't any weird genome tied to the pawn, they where using baseline, couldn't find anything unusual about the pawn in their stats which is why I came asking.

The pawn has now left my colony so I'll keep an eye out for more visitors but I don't recall any other visitors having the issue, but it's possible I just never noticed.

Maybe there was something wrong with whatever they where wearing and it's not actually tied to the Bun Race at all.
Spanky_H  [ophavsmand] 8. dec. 2024 kl. 7:58
are you using any body mods? Could also be some weird gene interaction I didn't account for...
Kev 8. dec. 2024 kl. 6:20
This is more than likely not a Bun Race mod problem and more likely a conflict somewhere but just had a Bun visit my colony and they don't have a body, just a floating head, anything known that could cause this?
