@Rozdear, do you mind if I modify your mod? I'll change the HP bars' color because it lacks contrast. With reshaders on, it's tricky to assess limb health quickly.
Only using Compressed textures pack, Dark UI, and this mod. I tried fidgeting around with the mod load order to no avail.
many thanks
Thank you for the nice comments, and don't worry about it. Glad that you do like it!
let me go back to the circus where i belong.
Haha, I think you're confusing the changes another mod does for my own.
My mod, this one, ONLY retextures the UI, using Dark UI as the base for the changes.
What you're describing from the change in the enviroment like green areas and forests must be added by another mod entirely (perhaps 'Kenshi: Genesis' or another similar overhaul mod), because this one does none of that.
If you prefer the native Kenshi UI I suggest you just unsubscribe from Dark UI and this one mod, as it'd be rare for another mod to be dependent on them.
I also like the scary places. The Foglands look better. Arach looks way better.
There are zones that used to have more color and now they don't. Mainly all the desert areas which are now brownish, and also Gut which doesn't have those blue tones.
All that I said up to this point is subjective.
My big critique the UI. I'm a goober that likes Kenshi's default UI. It'd be nice if the UI and the rest of the mod were separated. It's better if a mod does one or two things, that way the end user can more easily choose what to change.
I hope you find this useful.

For Dark UI the address would be:
'...\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\233860\1200632417'.
Haven't messed with them myself, but you'll probably find your answer in one of the .layout files in:
:...\Steam\steamapps\common\Kenshi\data\gui\layout:
Again, Eldryn1 will know more about this as they're the one that made Dark UI.
My mod only retextures the files Dark UI touches. Dark UI is the mod that changes the formatting of the UI and its shape, so Eldryn1 would have a better idea of what has changed.
Those who are looking for a similar mod to this, you might want to check out 'Radiant True Dark UI' and its compliment, 'Radiant True Dark UI Retexture'. It's a very good replacement for Dark UI and my mod if you're having issues with it.
However: Should have kept the Dark UI Limb Icon- the one with the eyes is too distracting / annoying. Also the Robot Limbs should have stayed Blue so it stands out- having it gray is kinda gross, blends in too much with the green and the background.
@Goon Kidd The mod itself doesn't change anything about the text. It just changes textures to go alongside the changes to the text Dark UI does to text, and I don't really have any plans to change how my mod works.
However, maybe you can try UnCheat's patch for the mod. it could help with Health bar readability.
The reason this mod requires Dark UI is that I've left all of the messing with the text's font, color, and size entirely to Dark UI, while this mod only modifies textures.
You could probably use this mod without Dark UI but the text would not be changed to contrast with the new darker textures and be hardly legible.
If anyone wants to look into improving the text's readability they might have a bit of luck messing with Dark UI's font file more than my mod.
Made a darker background patch so you actually could see Robotic limbs damage

What I might do instead is a recolor of the original Dark UI, with a color-scheme closer to this one instead of the original black with bright green you might see, and test some transparency on that one.
Having downloaded and looked over the mod, I can confirm that Transparent UI and my own mod are incompatible with each other, as they both overwrite the same files. I think it's pretty reasonable to say that any UI mod that replaces that same files than I the other does will be incompatible with each other.
taking a closer look, the "see through menus with rusty buttons" look I was envisioning isn't quite on the mark since both of these are mods to edit the background
The mod most probably would be incompatible with this one, as it probably adds its own version of the figure.png and kenshi_ui.png files. This means that whichever is lower in the load order would overwrite those above it, similar to how this mod overwrites the new UI files provided by Dark UI when placed below it.
