The main mod has been updated to 4.0, but this is out of date by a long shot. Does this still work, or is it even needed with NSC now?

Works fine on 3.* for me, at least Dyson Sphere is in scale and normal

That's just cause the construction entity is bugged, it does the same in the vanilla one and it's been a headache to try and fix

when constructing the 2nd stage of the ringworld, the green translucent entity is waaay larger than it should be, any idea why this is?

It should, the only things it changes are the ringworld and dyson sphere
