Does this mod work? Would be very useful when making a in game wiki for the official rimworld wiki website.
schwarzrotes 14 Apr, 2024 @ 3:08am
i dont get it to work with 1.5
Archie 11 Apr, 2024 @ 11:59pm
(Note, this issue is specifically for 1.4 and 1.4 only afaik)
Archie 11 Apr, 2024 @ 11:58pm
Can confirm that acquiring the project through github and further looking into this I could see that part of the project was built against rimworld ref 1.3.3 and ingame wiki was built against 1.4.3507-beta. Both were built against harmony 2.3.3 which is also not the version that 1.4.3901 expects, as that version expects 2.2.2.
Changing this in the project's dependencies gets rid of the error and the wikis work normally once more.

I believe the 1.4 assembly got corrupted or something. Trying to use the information button for any object or biome yields a bunch of errors, even when only loading the mod by itself alongside Rimworld core and expansions.

Here's a sample exception: https://pastebin.com/w2CJa1ru

I concur with the previous poster - I do not know what has happened but it no longer opens when I click it, just freezes the game for a moment and then does not open

Unfortunately this mod does not work for me, its not opening
kinngrimm 12 Nov, 2023 @ 11:43am
is there a list of mods that have implemented this wiki functionality?
pgames-food 12 Aug, 2023 @ 3:17pm
hi you might be able to find which of your (currently subscribed) mods can use it, by searching your workshop folder for rimworld mods, for this (without quotes)
"co.uk.epicguru.ingamewiki"
in files of about.xml

that should at least find any mod you have which is mentioning this wiki mod.

if you want a kind of wiki mod to show you the basics for vanila/any mod the help for dummies (or one of the later versions) is what i use when i get stuck, but any mod specifically using this wiki mod can have a nicer, more detailed entry like one of the star trek mods was using it.
Monkey Magic 12 Aug, 2023 @ 11:55am
"This mod doesn't do anything by itself - it requires other mods to populate their wiki pages."

Does it not at least populate the vanilla wiki?
tubros 26 Mar, 2023 @ 2:39am
What mods use this framework? Is there a list or way to search?
MiiToe 16 Mar, 2023 @ 5:05am
When I click the wiki button, nothing happens. Not even a log message
Epicguru  [author] 1 Mar, 2023 @ 4:11pm
I have again tested and verified that this works with AA and Rimforge. If you are using the latest Steam version of these mods and are still getting issues with the wiki, let me know. It all seems to work for me. Remember to load this wiki mod BEFORE those other mods.
fery vuta 10 Nov, 2022 @ 6:57pm
This mod has errors, can't post because author doesn't even allow forum posting.
Ranger Dimitri 17 Oct, 2022 @ 10:06am
In-Game Wiki still isn't working properly for me. I click on either Antimatter or RimForge and I get a black menu that has close on the bottom. Not sure if anyone else is dealing with it but I figured to let you all know.
Mlie 6 Oct, 2022 @ 1:00pm
Unlisted my version and referred back to this
Epicguru  [author] 5 Oct, 2022 @ 3:00pm
Updated for 1.4. Fixed issues preventing it from working in 1.3.
junio.king 21 Jan, 2022 @ 1:15pm
the mod is not working, I click on the wiki tab and it doesn't even open. :steamsad:
Skallywaggz 15 Oct, 2021 @ 5:55pm
@Epicguru

add another one to the not working on 1.3 list

Bobbbobberson 9 Oct, 2021 @ 2:33pm
its not working
Zotikus 23 Sep, 2021 @ 1:46pm
Doesn't seem to be working on 1.3
Flixbox 22 Sep, 2021 @ 12:30pm
I'm curious. Why did you choose this style of HTML-based markup instead of classic Markdown (.md)? I believe it supports metadata and the links would also be quite easy to implement. The markup language you chose is quite similar to Markdown, but it's a bit harder to get into due to its non-standard format. :lunar2019deadpanpig:
Senacharim 13 Sep, 2021 @ 6:25pm
Is the wiki globe thing supposed to do something when clicked?
Arcanant 18 Jul, 2021 @ 1:58pm
Sorry for asking such a dumb question but is this like a better auto links with possibilities for modders to add more details themselves?
FelixAntonio 10 Jul, 2021 @ 2:58am
dumb question but how to return to the mod lists? i clicked on rimforge but now i can;t go back
gumpin it 26 Jun, 2021 @ 6:01am
ok i didn't have antimatter annihilation, i installed it and now i have 2 options to choose from when i click ingame wiki, ty!!
Epicguru  [author] 26 Jun, 2021 @ 12:25am
So you have RimForge and Antimatter Annihilation both installed, but are only seeing RimForge's wiki? If this is the case an error log would be very appreciated, since I can't reproduce this bug with any of my saves.
gumpin it 25 Jun, 2021 @ 5:38pm
for me it only shows rimforge, even when i restart the game. i can't switch mods or anything, but i can follow the ingame hyperlinks to the wiki (the mod one) but i just cant switch from rimforge
Epicguru  [author] 17 Jun, 2021 @ 1:51am
It should definitely let you click on the button again to select a different mod. I will make sure that it is working.
Chissana 16 Jun, 2021 @ 9:19pm
This is a really great mod! I am however having an issue where after I select a mod in the Wiki menu, I don't seem to have a way to go back and select a different mod's information to look at. Restarting my save makes the main Wiki menu pop up when next I hit the button for me to select another mod's information, but it would be nice to be able to swap between mod wiki's without needing to reload my save. Am I missing something, or has mine bugged?
Epicguru  [author] 13 May, 2021 @ 2:21am
@OttersHoldHands good to hear, if you need any help getting the Wiki working let me know, but the instructions on the Github page should be fairly clear.
Keep up the good work, your mods are very cool!
OttersHoldHands 13 May, 2021 @ 12:10am
@Velocinyx im a modder in need of helpers to add wiki info. If you are looking for some mod to help <.<
Epicguru  [author] 8 May, 2021 @ 11:06am
@Velocinyx This mod allows other mod developers to add Wiki pages for their mods.
I you are a mod author or you want to work with other mod authors to make Wiki pages, you should check out the github link for instructions.
BingoBungus 7 May, 2021 @ 7:28pm
I love this concept! Do you need any help adding entries? :steamhappy:
pgames-food 15 Nov, 2020 @ 8:54pm
hi if you have other mods that also have lots of buttons i think jaxe added it as an option to reorder (reorderer mod) which can also hide any menu button too.
Epicguru  [author] 15 Nov, 2020 @ 4:14pm
@Vinzero Since this has been requested quite a few times, I've gone and done it. You can now go into the settings menu and disable the button.

Enjoy!
Vinbee 15 Nov, 2020 @ 1:54pm
Could you add an option to hide the "In-game Wiki" menu bar at the bottom?

Reason being I only really have Antimatter Annihilation that uses it, since I already know how it works I barely ever use the Wiki.

Not only that but I have other mods that add their own Menu bar, so it's really getting cluttered.
I'd appreciate if there was a way to hide it.

Cheers :cozyspaceengineersc:
Epicguru  [author] 4 Oct, 2020 @ 5:50am
Nice! Hope you enjoy.
Do0m[y] 3 Oct, 2020 @ 9:03pm
Just to say that, because you did a great job, I have installed your mod:
Antimatter Annihilation and now I can use your mod at the same time :jacko:
Do0m[y] 3 Oct, 2020 @ 12:36pm
Oh, OK! I see now. That's why. Thank you, Epicguru.
Epicguru  [author] 3 Oct, 2020 @ 10:45am
If the button does not do anything, then none of the mods adds Wiki. Simple as that.
You can leave the mod installed, or uninstall if the button distracts you.
Do0m[y] 3 Oct, 2020 @ 10:16am
Hello, Epicguru,

Good to know, thank you. That being said, I do not have "Antimatter Annihilation" and the "Borg" mod. I have something like more than 150 mods installed, but I have absolutely no idea wich one add information in wiki to be honest with you. So, today, your mod still doesn't work for me. The icon is there, but again, when I click on it, nothing appears. I'm not a moder, just a player and consequently ... I have no idea how to fix this issue or conflict, Epicguru.
Epicguru  [author] 3 Oct, 2020 @ 6:26am
The Rimpedia mod is an unrelated mod.
Currently there are only a few mods that add wiki's:
Antimatter Annihilation, and the Borg mod, and perhaps a few others.
Do0m[y] 2 Oct, 2020 @ 4:33pm
[Update]

I was wrong, I had the "Rimpedia" mod, but your mod still doesn't work anyway, which is strange.
Do0m[y] 2 Oct, 2020 @ 4:01pm
Hello, Epicguru

Thank you for your quick reply, I appreciate it.
I have no wiki mods installed, except yours.

Here is my log file: https://gist.github.com/37ee8b4a32d889be6219d5da2e02b41c
Epicguru  [author] 2 Oct, 2020 @ 1:04pm
It will only do something if you have another mod installed that adds a wiki.
For example, Antimatter Annihilation adds a wiki.

If you do have a wiki mod installed but the button still does nothing, send me the log files so I can sort out the issue.
Do0m[y] 2 Oct, 2020 @ 12:46pm
I don't know why, but when I click on the icon nothing appears. No window, pop-up, nothing at all. Can you, please, help me with this issue? Thank you!
WolF8RocK 26 Sep, 2020 @ 11:48pm
@Epicguru Hello, I made a translation of the mod into Russian.
Please add it
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_mU7WnONg4ybH7pUGlQ4RkV-gM5YO3Aw/view?usp=sharing
Epicguru  [author] 20 Sep, 2020 @ 4:12am
I will add support for that but it wouldn't be very useful since this mod doesn't really display all that much information automatically, just crafting requirements and research requirement.
WolF8RocK 19 Sep, 2020 @ 9:55pm
can you do as in this mod
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2198532017
it automatically adds data, no need to add support mod
or does this mod add other data?
