King of Wei, hey i was wondering if UAD would increase retinue sizes? and i am stoked to try UAD again. i loved it so much before.

Update from the creators of UAD:

Let’s talk about the current situation. CA has released a new (The Furious Wild) DLC, which has modified and changed the map which means all the big overhaul mods have been shut down and need to be updated. The UAD (Unity After Long Divide) team will complete the update as soon as possible. I will post new developments in the workshops and groups. In addition, I plan to post a large-scale UAD strategy and unit analysis / breakdown guide after the update is completed. After all, the current UAD mod has completely changed to how it was a year ago. Our mod started out simple and bare bones but now includes a unique population and manpower feature, overhauled realistic battles while military supplies can mean life or death for your armies as well as much more.

mod is absolutely amazing it is the best in workshop, combat is slow, long and difficult enemies tough. But mod needs some explanation or guide how everything works. farms resources man power and ext. all that needs short guide or explanation. If you can't do short guide for the mod i can try to do for you. if you could contact me we can discuss everything. Some kind of guide would massively help everyone with mod

I really want to love this mod. I love the population mechanic, I like that population is much more static and it makes a bigger difference in income. I like that every city is now named and is more than just a livestock farm. However it seems like while all the AI are fielding massive armies from turn 2, 3, your cities lose money until you get all the buildings built up, and every city you take then requires a huge investment as well. Most of the modifiers are untranslated, so I have no idea what the buildings do, exactly. It seems a tax office massively raises income, but again no idea why since it seems 3 different unnamed modifiers share the food icon.

My food is at a negative 100 pr more and I have no idea why. There are a bunch of zero's and nothing explaining "how" to fix it. Upgrading my farming estates doesn't fix it, and everyone else is able to field massive armies.

I feel your pain. This is the best mod ever and after trying other overhauls, it just makes me want this even more :(

This mod absolutely nails the battle balance perfectly and adds many layers of complexity to it.

@King of Wei, is there anything we can do to help you? If you can extract the Chinese text in need of translation, perhaps we can do a Google Translate pass for you!

@YamatoPower9000 from what I understand the new UAD made different branches for food, I think. One is for military and one is for civic use. I think thats the gist of it but I really cant understand. Its either its blank or its in chinese. I tried reading through the pack file and I cant understand anything lol.

@YamatoPower9000 If u really wanna play, what I did was I used my own-made cheat mods and boosted my military supply and unit replenishment whenever it goes negative due to the new military food factor lol makes it kinda unfun tho

Somehow I managed to make range units shoot, however 80% of the time their target is obstructed compared to WH2 for example.
Crashes using this collection "名将复兴 & UAD 兼容版/Wu Kingdaissance & UAD compatible"
I excluded all faction and new generals and only left UAD and Wu Kingdaissance with translations. Also using some minor mods but I don't think they affect crashes and maybe Division Empire or Dynamic Campaign +... Maybe WDG but I don't think it would cause crashes after 40-50+ turns... So I'm lost... I switched few mods maybe I'm out of crash, so I have to waste another 50+ turns to figure it out.

Having question about difference in MoH and standart campaign. Is UAD works properly in 182?
Also I see problems with 2 handed sword units... they barely deal any damage and I think they need some love, same with anti-cav bonuses for spears...
There's missing description in unit stats (says n/a)
Missing titles in MoH. Translation error or UAD's problem?

I'm having random crashes after 50+ turns. Not sure if it's this mod particulary but it's just strange, cause crash occures sometimes for no reason like when I'm afk in campaign. And I have missing titles in 182 MoH campaign.

Can someone explain how to use zhanmajian infantry (medium sword inf). And why my range units can't fire most of the time, unless they are on walls ect. ????

You have to be careful because if too many die you cannot recruit armies anymore. Also as your cities grow and build more farms / food production places, more people will come and you can recruit bigger armies.

Manpower is how many men you have in your empire. You lose manpower when you fight battles and gain more men / manpower if you choose to recruit prisoners after winning a battle.

I played with this all day yesterday, and I am finally getting into the zone with 3K. I think this is it. I thought cavalry was OP at first but once the AI started recruiting heavier infantry, it feels very fair.

Battle times are around 20m open field, up to 40m for sieges, and miraculously keeps me immersed without feeling like a slog.

Campaign is very challenging in a good way. I keep getting told to decrease difficulty. I'm on turn 80 and still only control a handful of cities because it's too costly to bulldoze, and I'm building tall.

The only thing remaining is some instability in campaign: some end turn crashes and once in the middle of my turn after I clicked something. Reloading has taken care of it each time, though, and no battle crashes, so it's already better than vanilla 1.5.0 and 1.5.1.

Thanks for the translation! I've wanted to like 3K for 200+ hours now and it feels like I finally can wholeheartedly enjoy it.

@northampten30 The order doesn't matter as it's a movie type mod. I'll have to check about Wu and the EXP / Skill rest, there might be some conflicts as the main mod is a overhaul changing almost everything.

Hey @King of Wei My game always crashes. There is only this mod(and original) and Wu mod. Can you write the exact setup order of the mods ? And can we use EXP or skill reset modes ? Thank you for your hard work !

The campaign is crashing when I use the "Original mod" you linked with this translation, it only works for me when I download :
"Unify After Long Divide English Part 1 OLD" and of course the Part 2.

Actually its the MoH campaign that crashes, so I cannot play them?

There is so many english translation files of this mod, I am confused. What files do I need and what is the loading order for them?
