I do not wish to start a "When 1.6" spam from others, but I would still like to show my interest in an update. It's a quite useful mod for tribal/nomadic playthroughs as it allows constructing buildings when wood is scarce but wild animals are less so. I look forward to if and when you get around to updating this.

i think the way it works is that if it requires no research at all it winds up being available immediately. the tent flaps for instance are available immediately but the walls arent

Haha, thought I already did this one. Updated for 1.5, no changes were made. let me know if any issues come up.

what is the thing that unlocks this? im currently playing the new vanilla tribals expanded mod and i cant actually see what unlocks hide walls to be used, are they at the same point as normal walls?

A quick look kind of gives me the impression there are errors in the save file. I might be wrong and can look a bit closer later tonight. You might want to try replacing the walls with god-mode and see if that helps. Make a separate save file and destroy/replace. If it's not that, there's a conflict somewhere.

I'm getting a lot of region and room updater errors. I see VBY_Hide_Wall in a lot of the code in the log so I figure this may be the culprit. Could you take a look and see if you can fix it? That is if it is this mod causing the issue.

I didn't get around to adding an alternative for cannibals yet. I might just do a patch mod soon. It will be quicker/easier than the other idea I want to do eventually.

The hide walls were such a godsend on ice maps with tribals. Hope to see this again soon.

Legend. I downloaded this mod right before 1.4 came out, it just doesn't sit right having tribals living in buildings, and the only tent mod I found meant there would no longer be any sort of interior gameplay, as they just acted as beds.

This is exactly what I'm after, awesome mod!

Correct. The carpets are made from specific leathers. The reason being is they give a range of mood/thoughts depending on the hide.

Was looking through the comments and noticed that you wrote that you were going to look into making an exception for the human leather floors giving - beauty for cannibals. did that ever go anywhere? I specifically downloaded this mod to make human leather stuff for my first time cannibals run and it's a bit of a downer that I shouldn't really build these tiles since my colonists will hate them

Everything was working when I first implemented and tested but something may have changed. I won't be home until Monday but I'll add it to the list of things to look at when I'm back.

1 Person and me got a compatibility to "simple chain: leather".
When both mods are loaded, game will not load accordingly. It will reset the modlist to 0, spam the errorlist full of "not found" (propably because of the reset modlist) and UI will slowly die due to no responses.
Restart the game again will work but goes without any mods loaded.

Not sure what exacly happend there. Especially, because the simple chain mod is listed as compatible and also the information, that it should load after "simple chain: leather".

Rimkea does have log based chairs that's true but not the ones in this image it seems, rimkeas are too fashionable lol, the ones in this picture are straight up simple af log stumps as chairs haha. Probably part of a tribalism mod or something. Thanks for asking around for me though, much obliged

As for door cost, I will look at that too. I would have looked at vanilla cost when calculating but perhaps I made a mistake or I had a reason...Next chance I get I will investigate.

I love having the reinforced tent flap, but 40 wood + leather seems a bit steep... especially considering a vanilla wooden door only costs 25 and has more hit points...
Admittedly, my game is modded to hell... could be an odd mod conflict.

The patch for ReGrowth Extinct Animals needs updating. The mod name has changed to "ReGrowth: Extinct Animals Pack" and the defName of the material used changed to "RG-EAP_WoollyRhinocerosWool"
