Probably the same issue people had with one of my other mods, neglected to add the hats to the research list. This issue will be fixed by tomorrow once I reinstall Kenshi.

I can't find the blueprint for the hat nor is it in the crafting list after I researched leather armour crafting. Is this a problem?

Viking stuff could still work, I'll look into designing some viking armor that's more Kenshi themed.
As far as starting to model goes, it's all about taking the first step. I'd recommend taking a look at Blender Guru's Donut Tutorial on youtube, he even made an updated version for the newest version of Blender.

suggestion: viking or pagan slavic armour could work very well if kenshi was forest themed
i would love to start doing models if i only knew how, anyway i thought you might like that suggestion
