The button to open this report should be under the Empire reports section, not the Global reports section.

I was playing and I noticed that when my governors (or secret society leaders) would eligible for promotions, the promotions wouldn't stick. And previous promotions were no longer in effect (yet still displayed so in the governor screen). I disabled this mod and the functionality came back. Not sure if I've got something else going on that's conflicting with this mod. It's otherwise great. This is a new occurrence for me.

Hi, I noticed the ascending/descending sort buttons don't work. How can I fix it?
H.Humpel 29 Oct, 2023 @ 5:19am
Hi infixo,
your mod has been translated by ASM590319 into German and the translation is now part of the German translations for Civilization VI mods mod pack.
We would be more than happy if you could refer to the language translation in your mod description.

Dear Infixo, please consider a version compatible with Bear's Governor Overhaul mod?
kkumarho 1 Feb, 2023 @ 8:30pm
I found the button in the report button on top-right side! Thanks for nice mod! :steamhappy:

Russian translation of this mod is available here - Civilization VI Mods - Russian translations

Dear infixo, it would be great if you could post a link to the mod with Russian translation on the page of your mod.

@perkus Governors work differently in R&F and in GS. This mod is designed for GS - that is why is requires "GS" and it is clearly stated. Having GS and running R&F ruleset is virtually the same as not having GS.
Perkus 19 Nov, 2021 @ 11:53am
@infixo, Perfectly legitimate version, bought on sale several years ago, but only installed recently. Aging but high-end stable computer, and I'm very tech savvy, former published game developer.

I'm not sure what you mean by "run full setup". I had only vanilla with some thrown-in DLCs, purchased the Anthology via steam, it auto-installed successfully as far as I can tell, and I didn't mess with it further. Are you suggesting I reinstall everything from scratch? It *is* conceivable this problem was actually a side effect of a second new mod conflict I discovered only after I resolved this one. I'm now continuing my R&F game w/o further issues since and don't want to mess with this more until I've completed it. At some point I will try a GS ruleset game and re-enable this. I thought it was important I report my findings given that Dr. SW had what seems like the identical issue, so there are others.
infixo  [author] 19 Nov, 2021 @ 10:20am
@perkus If you are using a legitimate version of the game, then pls. run the full setup (base, R&F, and GS) with GS as default. This mod certainly works in this setup, please note that it's been in public usage for almost 2 years.

So I started disabling the last few mods I added just before the problems started, and this is the one responsible. My saves are now have all the mods working again once I disable only this mod!

The UI hang turned out to be caused by a totally unrelated fatal mod conflict, which triggered me to reload & encounter this problem. I speculate that it only happens when you use an earlier rules set than Gathering Storm, even if you do own GS. But even then everything seems to work fine until you reload the game for the first time (speculation). I simply assumed that owning GS was enough, as governors were introduced in R&F, which I am using the ruleset for. But this mod appears to require starting the game using the GS ruleset, not merely owning it. This could be made more clear in the description, as it's not obvious (to me), and the problem is quite serious & confusing to track down. Perhaps it could even still be patched.

I've experienced the same issue as Dr. Space Walker, this mod was responsible for a game crash and then disabling all my mods several turns into a new game. After some tedious troubleshooting, I think I understand what is going on. I ran on vanilla only for about a month, later with a number of mods no issues, didn't have this yet, obviously. I bought R&F & Gathering Storm a couple of days ago, and installed this right after. Then I've had problems with both games I started since, first the Australian Outback scenario (part of my vanilla package). Now with a regular game but using ONLY the Rise & Fall ruleset. During Australian Outback I lost all my mods maybe 4 turns in or so, it runs on online speed. During my new standard speed game, it hung after turn 16. After reloading any save of that game, (even earlier ones, e.g. from turn 7!) all my mods are disabled. Didn't see anything obvious in Modding.log. Switching to another new game it worked fine again. There are some error for Pingala GPs count.
The count didn't include Great People points for districts.
For example, I build campus and library, but this UI only count 1 Great People point, it should be 2
Dr. Space Walker 17 May, 2021 @ 10:08pm
@infixo I understand. I was really hoping to be able to use the mod though. oh well. Thank you for your time.
infixo  [author] 16 May, 2021 @ 5:31am
@drspacewalker Since I have no such issue, then I cannot help. Maybe some other users can share if they experience any type of "disapperaing mods after loading" issue.
Dr. Space Walker 16 May, 2021 @ 1:20am
I have found that with this mod enabled I can start a new game without issue however, upon returning to the same game later when I load it none of my mods are active. It is only this mod that causes the issue. It took me hours to pinpoint exactly which mod was the root cause. Any thoughts? Can this be fixed?
infixo  [author] 4 May, 2021 @ 1:45am
@kryndude Yes, it works.
Kryndude 3 May, 2021 @ 10:09pm
Does this work with better report screen mod? Can't find the button.
infixo  [author] 4 Mar, 2021 @ 4:55am
@jackoneil Do you have any conflict with cqui?

Does this have any conflict with cqui?
pauloel7 27 Feb, 2021 @ 10:50am
Suggestion for next update: insert "sort" function into column headings, so that you may click to rank options, just as in BRS.
pauloel7 27 Feb, 2021 @ 7:26am
Sounds perfect, thank you Infixo.
infixo  [author] 27 Feb, 2021 @ 3:42am
@pauloel7 In the _Database.sql file, there is a parameter: ('RGI_OPTION_TOTAL_ALL', '0'); -- '0' total sums up only active promotions / '1' total sums up all promotions. It is '0' by default, so only active promos are totaled.
pauloel7 19 Feb, 2021 @ 6:48am
Reyna "TOTAL" column is blank for me. Could not find any related error message. Is that by design or some version issue? Is there an easy fix?
infixo  [author] 30 Jul, 2020 @ 12:30pm
@chrismartin Yes, I plan to do so.
ChrisMartin 30 Jul, 2020 @ 8:22am
After Ethiopia-update, the new "governor" has shifted the Icon bar on top.
Since this Secret Society "govenors" are not placeble in any city, but have nationwide effects, should it be excluded from the Real Governor Inspector?
infixo  [author] 4 Jul, 2020 @ 3:58am
@austin If you just adjust some values without chaning actual promotions and their meaning then it is easy to also adjust RGI, but you need to do it manually. The code is pretty self-explanatory, imho. But if you create new promos then you'd need to code them into RGI, too.
I was wondering about using RMA module which can handle yields, but there are also many non-yield effects that need programming anyway. In the end it was easier for me to just code everything.
But i.e. if you use Better Civilipedia with modifiers enabled, it will display values for each promo, even modded ones, assuming that Gov is placed in the Capital. Then you can see how many promos still need programming and that is a lot unfortunately.
Austin001 4 Jul, 2020 @ 12:32am
Woops, I thought I had read that when the mod first came out but I guess I forgot. Very useful mod though
infixo  [author] 4 Jul, 2020 @ 12:24am
@austin Known issues, p. 2.
Austin001 3 Jul, 2020 @ 11:37pm
Would this work if the governor promotions were changed?
Royal Raven 9 Jun, 2020 @ 12:04pm
Wow! Another amazing mod. Thank you!
infixo  [author] 9 Jun, 2020 @ 7:44am
@flactine It will display any governor and its promotions, but it only calculates the ones from the description.
Flactine 9 Jun, 2020 @ 7:37am
Is it support other mod's govenor?
infixo  [author] 7 Jun, 2020 @ 10:08am
@diego Good catch, thx! Totally forgot about checking if a resource has been revealed.
FreLeif 7 Jun, 2020 @ 9:31am
Amazing! Very nice and useful mod.

Just one issue: Governor Victor's screen shows resources which are not still known (spoiled!) (Defense logistics title). For example, I know one of my cities has oil... and I'm in the Classical Era :)
ChrisMartin 6 Jun, 2020 @ 2:06am
YES! Just... YES!!!
Telruna 5 Jun, 2020 @ 11:09pm
Awesomesauce. Good job!

The effect on loyalty when placing a Governor seems like a good addition.
Bene Gesserit 5 Jun, 2020 @ 3:57pm
This is freaking awesome, @Infixo! Another useful UI.
