It could be misinformation or M1 Bayonets was just used in limited numbers in the Pacific or something else
The M1 Garand rifle can be seen with a M1 Bayonet on the right of the Photo

As for the cancel, it's due to how the grenade works, the transition itself is extremely iffy because the default animators aren't really meant to have an object in 2 separate layers like this (the grenade itself). If i did it nowadays there's something i would've done that could've maybe made it less breakable, but back then i didn't think about it
