@HistoricHippos yeah all that stuff already tried. Was the first thing I did to make sure there wasnt a problem on that end. It really sucks, cause I really like the AL civs. And now being forced to play vanilla ones, bah! I'm also in Gaia's discord and have asked about it, but no replies as of yet. So, sadly it might just be one of those aint gonna work no more things. Either way, thanks for the timely response.

You can try verifying game files through Steam, clearing cache in the game files, make sure the mods are all updated and properly loaded (sometimes Civ V will incorrectly configure the game resulting in broken UI and stuff).

For mods made by other people, there's not much I can do. Especially mods that drastically alter the game like Gaia which I have never used due to the sheer complexity of getting it installed. My mods stay on the more simpler side so they shouldn't be too many chances to conflict with other peoples' mods (in theory).

And of course, there's always a chance it's just something beyond our control. It can feel like a dice toss for something to work one day and have it not work on a different day.

Hi there, hoping your still alive and or still play the game or some such. I love the AL civs. But, they appear to be no longer compatible with some mods and cause crashing upon starting a new game. Namely the Gaia series of mods. Was wondering if you knew a fix, or something that could be done player side to fix this, or is it just something thats insanity?

All songs used are from the game and the anime. The first two peace themes are BGMs from the New Years event while the second two are from the anime.

Okay, updated Nagato's leader tags in the code. Hopefully that will be enough of a difference to prevent any mix-up with the "Battleship Girls" mod's Nagato

Might have something to do with how Nagato (the AL version) was referenced in the mod files. If the Battleship Girls mod uses the same reference code for their Nagato then it may be a matter of altering all instances of the AL Nagato in the game code into something else.

I've found this mod clashing with the Battleship Girls Mod. every time the Nagato interaction screen is vissible, the other faction (Battleship girls mod) Nagato pop-ups instead of the Azur-Lane Nagato. does anymeone knows how to fix this issue?

I'm not too familiar with the game lore myself, but from what I've seen, Nagato is *technically* the leader while Akagi is the one running the show. The conflict in the main story is that the two don't have the same goals in mind.

Not really familiar with the game, but wasn't Akagi the one in charge while Nagato is the leader in Kantai Collection? (which would also be an idea, two Nagatos competing for the crown).

I thank you for your comments. It's always rare to read one's coherent, detailed, and constructive thoughts on a mod (especially if it's an anime mod :/). Thinking it over, I will concede that Sakura Empire's UA is a bit on the weak side. My thought process at the time was to give each of the AL civ abilities a particular unique theme/niche related to the faction (aircraft and military bonuses for Enterprise, happiness and City-State bonuses for Queen Elizabeth, and some sort of culture + faith theme for Nagato).

And yes, as a game about ships, naval bonuses should be a given but be assured that the next civ, Ironblood, will have some non-naval UA bonuses. In fact, civs like Eagle Union and Royal Navy were designed the way they are because 1) like you said, it would get very samey, and 2) give the civs some wiggle room for not being on coasts. They're at their strongest as naval powers, but they shouldn't be completely helpless if they're not.

Also I know its a game about ships, so navy abilities are a given, but it would get very samey if every civ you make in this series has a naval ability. Royal Navy was good with avoiding this. I dont know what UAs you'll give Not-Germany and the others but I would advise you to avoid naval UAs. Naval UU is enough, imo.

For once an anime civ with a UA that is actually weak-ish. It's good to see that this one has a UB instead of two UUs. If I have one critique on this series so far (Other than Enterprise) is that their UAs tend to have a bunch of different abilities, sometimes with no relation. (Especially Royal navy.) Better to give them 1 or 2 good things for their UA, imo. But the assets and art are all very good, and props to you for doing so much dialogue, its a very professional mod. And you even included detailed pictures in the mod page! Some authors just put a thumbnail and thats it. :/
