I have been dreaming since the release of warhammer TW. For Eltharion the Blind to be availble.. Testing this out now! ^^

i like both versions my only problem is retconing is lame

If you want him to be able to only use 2 handed sword then you can use the animation from "swords of hoeth" ( bad at names ) then change the visual to the one you are using right now to get the complete feeling of him weilding a 2 handed sword. only a tip :)

yeah there arent many assets I could use for a less armored look, I tried. but in most material from 8th hes armored anyway.

Ye also reskin for me is not exacly what I spected, on my codex it appears just with the sword, no armor and also no shoes lol, like a monk but nice try anyway

he is a LL, not a lord. its just a reskin. have you even tried it?

You can change his animation in land_units_tables file, just look for Eltharion's table and find something named man_animation and put there whatever animation you'd want, but I think only Swordmasters or Loremaster will fit :)

I don't mind that they Have the original Eltharion in his originl form (I think it was in a box set as well). I just wish he could become the sword master in game

@Quaranir Because that was the much cooler, more original and interesting model and character. The whole "got tortured and blinded by Malekith and comes back even bitterer" was a cool development for him. And I think changing their minds about him and just "declaring it non-canon" was silly. Especially just to bring him back with that horrendous, boring-ass model (even worse for tabletop) that made it into the game. Im not saying CA should have used the retcon version, Im saying its a shame it got retconned in the first place, making them have to use it.

What the..?
Eltharion was the grim giffon-riding warden since he was introduced during the 4th edition at 1993. He was only changed to a blind swordsman for a short time during the Storm of Chaos campaign that was later proclaimed non-canon. Why would TWWH2 use some short-lived campaign modification of a character instead of his normal version?
