Finished testing and the mod is available at AFK Mods!

Not yet. I have to check all tablets on the monuments first as I don't want a tablet mentioning the wrong settlement.

Any updates on your "Skyrim's Lost Settlements" release on AFKMods?
Jmacc 3. okt. 2023 kl. 17:11
Thanks
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 3. okt. 2023 kl. 16:32
Probably not if you stick to houses (static objects in general), NPCs and their AI Packages, Factions, etc.. But, if you want to add quests, you most probably can't do without code, because you want quests to progress.
Jmacc 3. okt. 2023 kl. 16:19
I'm doing tutorials right now, I plan on making bigger cities, will i need to code?
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 3. okt. 2023 kl. 15:09
It might also be a good idea to become a member of the CK Public Group and maybe my guide Creation Kit: Good Practices , so we can keep this thread for mod related posts.
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 3. okt. 2023 kl. 15:04
Sometime you don't, sometime you do. That totally depends on the mod you want to create. It would be a good idea to take your first steps on the Unofficial Elders Scrolls Pages - CK Tutorials [ck.uesp.net].
Jmacc 3. okt. 2023 kl. 14:36
nice, do I need to know how to code to use the creation kit?
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 3. okt. 2023 kl. 1:55
Shalidor's Legacy (with REAL labyrinths), a spriggan follower, a port and remake of Courting & Marriage, Secure Chests (like in Enderal)
Jmacc 2. okt. 2023 kl. 16:46
like what???
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 2. okt. 2023 kl. 15:58
No, I'm not, since I have various other projects on hand!
Jmacc 2. okt. 2023 kl. 15:55
so you're not going to make it bigger?
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 2. okt. 2023 kl. 15:28
Well, in my game I want to keep my mods as close to the original games and as lore friendly as possible. Making Raven Rock a bigger city is not one of my intentions, or making it compatible with any other mod. I'm sorry to say, that I'm sort of a "lone ranger", but I'm willing to give you any advice needed. However, that will only be advice, not providing you with full solutions. I have done that a bit too often (to my regret). Maybe start your journey into modding here: https://ck.uesp.net/wiki/Landing_page
Jmacc 2. okt. 2023 kl. 13:52
I'm getting into modding myself, would you consider working with me?
Jmacc 2. okt. 2023 kl. 13:34
could you make it compatable with ravenrock expanded?
Jmacc 2. okt. 2023 kl. 13:25
bigger city
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 2. okt. 2023 kl. 4:23
What do you want to see in a mod for Raven Rock?
Jmacc 1. okt. 2023 kl. 18:29
you should make a mod for ravenrock
Jmacc 20. sep. 2023 kl. 13:40
Ok thanks, I really apprentice it, I will also let you know that i do not have special, anniversary, or legendary edition, just the plain, normal skyrim, but I have all the DLCs, thanks again! :)
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 20. sep. 2023 kl. 9:32
If you have Skyrim SE (1.5 or 1.6) it won't work as the mod has the incorrect Form Version. However you can load the mod in the Creation Kit, do not change anything, and save the mod. This will change the Form Version to the correct value. Or, you can wait till my new mod, "Skyrim's Lost Settlements" is available on AFK Mods, probably within one or two weeks. I will post the link here when it's finished..
Jmacc 20. sep. 2023 kl. 8:43
so it won't work on mine?
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 20. sep. 2023 kl. 4:23
Versions 1.5.x and 1.6.x are Special Edition, versions before 1.5 are Legendary Edition.
Jmacc 19. sep. 2023 kl. 19:43
I don't know all of the versions.
Jmacc 19. sep. 2023 kl. 19:43
Just normal skyrim.
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 19. sep. 2023 kl. 16:23
Are you using Skyrim SE, the 64-bit version? If so, it won't work, this mod if for Skyrim LE.
Jmacc 19. sep. 2023 kl. 16:14
This mod isn't working for me, but to be fair i have lots of others installed, if you could look into that i'd be grateful, it seems like a cool mod.
Kad 17. okt. 2020 kl. 21:44
wow once I finally get my mods sorted so I can play again this will make a great addition as I love exploring... thank you
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 13. juni 2016 kl. 7:24
Thanks, Jo_Blow! I'm already working on a large update and found a few other villages, described in TES Lore, but also vanished from the province of Skyrim: Bardmont and Dunbarrow. The Fortress of Ice is not in this mod, but I think I also found this one. An update will probably take a while, as I have to play Arena again, and that's quite difficult if you are used to Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim.
Jo_Blow 12. juni 2016 kl. 3:58
I love this mod, since it came out here:) Had it with all my mods, with DLC! Had no issuses with this at all since the begining, so this is a mod, you can keep, store, use, at any time, plus it tells you the real story of places and ruins that once were there, its history, and places a marker for you to see on your map! This mod should be consided a top Mod with five stars :) Most of the markers are correct:) But who would know or care lol, its a mod to use, and expore:) Don't change what is not broken, or add unless its needs to only:) OLd MOds like this, work for the greater glory of your game play and Fun:) Thank Too Altbert great old Mod oxoxo :)
Tiber Septim 10. feb. 2016 kl. 21:54
Those are towns I haven't heard from for a LOOONG time.
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 29. jan. 2016 kl. 0:56
No, it looked like a complement.
parker 27. jan. 2016 kl. 6:36
Yes I know..
Did my comment looked like a question to you?
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 27. jan. 2016 kl. 5:07
@Pyrotte: Akaviri races are Kamal, Ka Po Tun, Tang Mo and Tsaesci.
parker 26. jan. 2016 kl. 13:53
Akaviri Races!
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 26. jan. 2016 kl. 13:49
Thanks Danel and Pyrotte! I really hate it to see mods with Minecraft items, Assassin's Creed armor, etc. Yes, it's a game, but with a massive written lore. Add new races? Add Goblin-ken, Imga, Lilmothiet, Naga, Sload, Kamal, Ka Po Tun, Tang Mo, Tsaesci, lots to choose from. A lot of those mods are not "bending lore a bit", they make the game ridiculous!
parker 26. jan. 2016 kl. 13:24
@Danel Lo Gris

They are called friendly lore mods

@Dave from NY Sewers.

No, it's not fun.
Conri 29. nov. 2015 kl. 7:17
Ah for christ sake Danel... It is a game... -_- If you want a game to be fun, you got to bend the lore a bit to make it more fun sweety ;) u know i'm right ;) :steamhappy:
Danel Lo Gris 13. maj 2015 kl. 4:57
well done, hard to find mods that stay true to lore. can't stand mods that add silly things that don't belong in the game like super sexy outfits or weird non lore races, you've got my subscription!
Jo_Blow 6. apr. 2015 kl. 0:24
Thankyou for this mod ..I love it in my game ..always :) great work Sir :) May Meridia Keep you alive to update it for us thankyou so much friend :) xxx
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 17. jan. 2015 kl. 7:36
Thanks, Samus, I'm glad you like it.
Samus Knight 16. jan. 2015 kl. 21:13
At first I was going to try out some of the other mods that add in the missing cities but then after seeing your mod I think this is a better idea. Tamriel was supposed to have been ravaged by countless wars, chaos, including the Oblivion Crisis which was said to hit Skyrim hard.Tie in the fighting between the Aldmeri Dominion and now the war raging in Skyrim and it makes sense that any remnants of these cities are most likely long gone.

I think this would work well with the Oblivion Gates mod that leaves crumbled pieces of gates all over Skyrim to show what remains of the mighty province that was once Skyrim.
nullptr 3. sep. 2014 kl. 23:16
Great idea, really fleshes things out. Only thing I would suggest is removing the 'Can travel to' and 'Visible' flags by default, making it so you have to stumble across these markers before you can either see or travel to them.
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 5. aug. 2014 kl. 10:34
Yes, one of my favorites!
Tiber Septim 5. aug. 2014 kl. 10:19
Have you been to the Imperial Library website? If not, I highly recommend it. Every book that has ever been written for The Elder Scrolls is in there.
Altbert  [ophavsmand] 5. aug. 2014 kl. 10:14
@Mikey: Yes, I have done quite a lot of research and even played Arena again after decades! Recently looking at the maps of the Elder Scrolls Online, many of those ancient villages, such as Nimalten, seem to be replaced again, now south of Lake Honrich, were I think it would have been north of the lake, somewhere west of Treva's Watch! And yes, distances between cities and villages have changed too! Riften to Solitude used to be about 1500 miles, but now you can travel that distance within a day!
Tiber Septim 5. aug. 2014 kl. 9:57
Someone made mention about the distance being incorrect between cities, well here's why,
The Elder Scrolls (games) has an altogether different size scale. Time runs at close to 1/16 compared to real time. It's only fiting that the distance be shorter as well.
Tiber Septim 5. aug. 2014 kl. 9:50
Seeing the ancient ruins across SKYRIM with their proper names gives me a chill that I get under the rarest circumstances. You have obviously done your research, looking through the countless tomes of The Imperial Library (assuming that's where you got all your info) if not you should check it out. Back to the subject at hand, the Elder Council (mod commune) and myself really like this addition. I played ARENA a very long time ago (AGES LOST TO MAN)
and have been an Elder Scrolls fan ever since. Keep the borders expanding Brother.
Jo_Blow 25. apr. 2014 kl. 19:55
Love it alot ..works well with other map markers and all DLC...awesome work ...you make steam look and play without any problems..tysm :)
Siobhain 21. mar. 2014 kl. 10:09
Brilliant, your mods have made my game 100% better... My mage thanks you. :)
