It does work with SFO, it just blocks out the UI that accounts for alignment and disables it.
I do not plan to make that change at this time as this mod is not SFO specific and that course of action would mean players could no longer see how many Sacred Energy Orbs are accumulated.
Yes. That was intended.
I was unsure when I added the mod to the workshop if it needed the dlc to use the scrap mechanic. Currently I think it doesn't, so I have removed that as a requirement.
Being 'consistent' means:
1) Rate of scrap gain (how does Lizardmen scrap gain compare at turn 25? What about turn 100?)
2) Cost of upgrades (I saw a range of 20-80. 80 for elite units, 20 lower tier. So the minimum sacred orbs might be 20, not 10.)
3) Impact of upgrades (so not making the unit too OP)
I don't have TW&TP, but I doubt CA has correctly balanced the scrap mechanic, so...
An aside, you'll likely get different feedback based on gamer type. Some of us love being OP - others prefer something more subtle and having continued challenge. My above comments are based on being the latter (I use mods to keep things challenging beyond turn 30 + not get boring).
Strangely, I noticed my fans spin up more than usual - maybe CPU usage is higher? (need to test)
Some upgrades are VERY nice, e.g. +20% speed for Cham Skinks. Other unit upgrades are much less significant.
It works with Blessed Units - so you can get some ridiculously strong units(!). It doesn't work with RoR so upgraded Blessed Units are 100% better.
I LOVE the concept & mod. As a player, you're more attached to specific units + adds flavor.
My main questions are about balancing - it might be too easy to get sacred orbs, It looks like you'd have fully upgraded armies pretty quickly (which takes away from this being special).
I might be better to make sacred orbs rarer, or some upgrade costs higher.
Or perhaps orbs only come from manual battles with a decisive or heroic victory (nothing defeating a weaker army). New incentive to fight your battles better or take on riskier battles.
Regarding the RoRs, as far as I know, the Greenskins' RoRs also get the scrap upgrades. Further, it is only one unit of each RoR, so even if they are OP, especially late in the campaign, they don't weigh in that much. Some, like the the Saurus Spear RoR might not even be in use anymore, since blessed temple guards are probably stronger.
