A bunch of things got renamed in the game data causing this mod to break more thoroughly. It's fixable, and I'm working on fixing it, but it may be a moment because of work deadlines.

Sadly not working, started in a cave, there are system.exceptions and blueprint not found errors in the log. I hope Zarkonnen will update the mod to the released game version, hopefully there will be no more mod affecting change in the game.

A user (Bravo2) on the previous page seems to have a fix: Here is what he said:

"HEY. I FIGURED OUT HOW TO FIX IT.

1. Go here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\333640\2132428264
(or wherever your steam mods are installed)
2. Rename "JoppaWorldNew4.rpm" to "JoppaWorldNew8.rpm"
3. Start a new game

It works!"

It seems this mod is currently spawning you underground in a random cave, when you get some time it would be appreciated if you can fix it!

@whenwe.srpski.65 I did a little Qud modding myself a few years ago, so I just popped open the Unfrozen folder and took a look to see what was causing the issue. Turns out, it wasn't overwriting the right map file. We'll have to do this every time that Freehold updates the map.... grumble grumble, but at least it works.

@Randy I've noticed bug too. it has existed for a long time. but don't get your hopes up on it being fixed anytime soon

@Feckless Hey likely the reason that the mod author isn't replying is because my post in which you were referring to was posted half a year after the discussion had ended and a month since their last post and a year since their last update for the mod. Perhaps you should try understanding that anyone can give anyone feedback about anything. Perhaps you should stop taking things so personally and cope. You are not the mod author, quit seething and being offended on their behalf.

Also I love this mod and have been using it for almost two years at this point. So know my criticism comes from a place of love and I wholeheartedly mean it to be constructive.

When not playing an unfrozen character, the map still had the vault on it and I was able to visit it, but currently I don't see it on the map. Did something about the latest map change break it?

Yeah, scientist makes sense. I'm still hoping that the game will get updated in a way that lets me override the "welcome to joppa" message before I do another pass.

I liked the low stats, they have decent starting gear and feel more human-playing than the true-kin, i just find their sprites absurdly ugly tough, heh but its just the art everything else is cool.

Well at the least the scientist , right? they are from the past and surely had machines to do their job, some models might be recognized and most stuff in Qud are industrial bots aside from the leering stalker and the crhome piramid.

Listen, all I'm saying is that -3 score modifier is functionally retarded and incapable of understanding even the most basic technology (like a folding chair or plastic tree). Someone from the past, no matter how brain damaged is still smarter than a degenerate mutant abomination who can't even understand what glasses are.

oh i think i know the misunderstanding. when i say +0 -2 and +2 i dont mean attribute point bonus. what i mean is the actual attribute score which goes up by 1 with every two attribute points. it starts as -3 for mutants i think. but it should be 0 for pre-destruction humans.

than maybe for scientist you'd have + 2 intelligence. and mabye the brain damaged one would a very small intelligence boost. mabye only to -2.

0+ would be the baseline intelligence of someone pre-destruction. the reason its so low for mutants and true kin is because they come from post-destruct were all that knowledge had been lost. there isn't schools in the world of qud like there would've been for the character in this mod. I hope you understand what im trying to explain. i might not be explaining it to well.
