I'm playing Normal difficulty and engaged the battleship at -288:79, so Naonite territory.
Within 10 seconds, it fired a large orangy laser that filled my screen and removed my ship from existence. 90k hull and 114k shields on a 8,8 subsystem ship, just gone.
Is this to be expected on normal or?

I just nerfed the ones outside the barrier, so any of the prototypes inside the barrier should be just as strong as before.
Last one thing. Does he despawn coz mission time out already and he still is there
Get Sector Weapon DPS ranges roughly from 1 to 230. It's the base weapon damage for a turret.
TimeToActive @ 300 would make it so that the laser only starts firing after 5 minutes. I realize it's impossible to balance everything to everyone's satisfaction but I think that is a little too generous.
In Death sentence it seems to snow ball in to insane numbers even on very low tech.
how about _TimeToActive = 300 to make time for evade manover
and maybe instead of GetSectorWeaponDPS use something much less random like tech lvl * 100?
Regardless, it will never have it outside of "Death Sentence" difficulty, so you can just avoid the mission @ that difficulty level if you are worried about it.

That said, if it is causing other pirate ships to spawn without turrets, the problem may not be on my end and it's possible that there's nothing I can do about this.
