Thanks for posting this, GloryGloryByzantium. Can you please tell me if your Mod covers the first century to second century AD? I am guessing that the answer is No, because rule in Rome in the 1st century AD was less Republican in form and more dictatorial with more power by the emperor.

I notice that the ruler of Judea at the Mod's starting point is "Dositheus Zadokite." Historically however, the Zadokite priesthood dynasty that the Greeks put in charge of Judea went into exile in the early-mid 2nd century BC.

The Jewish Virtual Library describes the history of the end of the Zadokite dynasty's position of power in Jewish religious society in the early-mid 2nd century BC:
{{ZADOK (Heb. צָדוֹק, "righteous"), priest in the time of king *David. Zadok established a high priestly dynasty which continued until approximately 171 B.C.E., both in the First and Second Temple periods.}}

The mod has been updated for 2.0 in a beta state (there will be bugs). Use the discussions here, on the forums, or discord for more information. Would encourage player feedback in this development.

The mod follows the historical date for events related to the Gaius Gracchus. See the forum links for more details. @Tunio

Thanks for making this! I've just subscribed based on what I saw on the PDX forums.

Is this project still being updated?
tunio 21 Sep, 2020 @ 6:18pm
Need update?
John Philoponus  [author] 12 Aug, 2020 @ 8:19pm
@atrion. I recently made some changes (see change notes) so the mod is active, just moving slowly. My next steps are to make sure it works for 1.5 and then look into adding Marius and Sulla as characters in Rome. If there are any specific bugs or suggestions, then feel free add them in the discussions.
Atrion 12 Aug, 2020 @ 7:35pm
Can you please update your mod? is one of the most interesting mod out there and a very nice time period, thanks.
John Philoponus  [author] 4 Aug, 2020 @ 12:20pm
@redplot I recently removed some forts to help mitigate this issue, but the navy still eats up so much. Do you think it would be better for me to remove or should I let the player choose to disband or reduce wages?
ZomB 9 Jul, 2020 @ 2:54am
I love this mod but i have one problem while playing rome, at the start of the game the navy is so large that it doubles the amount of income you make, while its an easy fix, maybe you should cut down their navy at the start of the game. Also its like 3x the size of the army
John Philoponus  [author] 7 Jul, 2020 @ 10:31pm
@Sammy Wammy. Yes, the ones mentioned in the comments; but this month will be really busy for me. May not get to the families and characters until August. If you're interested in writing the scripts yourself let me know.
El Chapo 7 Jul, 2020 @ 1:32pm
Will there be any more upcoming updates for this?

And always please keep this mod updated :)))
TrJacobin 18 Jun, 2020 @ 3:04am
You're my savior! I really needed a late game simulator (hell, even an early starting date would be cool). I really wish Imperator would give us what EUIV did with the timestamps (imagine a date right before Caesar crossing the rubicon! One for Hannibal in northern Rome!)
E 18 Jun, 2020 @ 1:11am
That said, this does need a lot (a LOT) of work. Still a really fun mod though.
E 18 Jun, 2020 @ 12:50am
Was waiting for this mod. Thanks.
[Army of Two] AXIS 17 Jun, 2020 @ 2:59pm
This is awesome, this will make it fun to resist Rome, or if I am tired of starting from scratch, I could just jump right into the late republic. Nice! Will try after Menander update.
