If anyone else has issues, let me me know which characters/buddies you used, and if you also tried it with default characters / CPUs, just in case.
I've been busy but finally circled back to look into this again, apparently there was a game update that caused my CPU detection code to think players were CPUs and messed everything up. It's resolved now, just did a quick playthrough and it all works!
I tested with some random workshop characters and buddies, but if anyone is still having any crashing issues, let me know what characters you're using (on human and CPU), and whether you can get it work with vanilla characters.
thanks for the help in advance
For some reason it's fixed when I bring a second player into this, but it won't let me play solo.
Help please?
Here's a suggestion: I know it's difficult to do this kind of thing in workshop, but having the same challenger each time gets a little repetitive. I wonder if it would be possible to make a workshop character companion mod that can randomly be any of the 14 characters? 🤔
