@Green Ranger (aka Gr1m) That's ok. Thanks for the quick response...If you manage to find something like that could you pm me or respond here ?

@Driver Kaldie: Unfortunately the way the game works is that the slowest wagon or vehicle determines the speed of the overall train. You might be able to look at some kind of top speed override mod? I don't use one myself so I'm not sure what's available.

Unfortunately such a mod is probably also going to override these mods as well, so I'm not sure what the options are, sorry!

Very nice ! Will it also make trains go faster. For example, when I have a locomotive that has a top speed of 120 km/h and waggons behind it that can only go 80 km/h, can I then put in a speedlimiter with a top speed op 120 km/h ?

There are a lot of nice waggon-mods and they look beautifull, but it's bugging me that some of those waggons have such low maximum speeds, so then I cannot use them on main freightlines were most of the time the speeds go up to 120-140 km/h.

If it's not in this mod, do you know how to get this done (without manually change every waggon's maximum speed) ?

Very nice mod! I see the use for train maneuvering since this can avoid the sudden loco position change when waggons are removed.
However, for being more precise I would appreciate if the SPACER wagon would also be available in lengths 2m, 0.2m, 0.1m.

Thank you Sir.

Very good mod! It's perfect to join 10000 kw! 10000 tons of trains need a lot of 1000kw...... thank!

Video please.

Oh, and a loading speed booster might be nice too
RustyBucket 1 Jun, 2021 @ 3:47pm
One thing I think I miss is a traction booster. sometimes you want to boost some vehicle to silly speeds, but there's a limit to acceleration by boosting horsepower, thus I'd appreciate a traction booster, should you ever come around to update this mod. Or when you're trying to make a fake MU that's actually usable (since the fake loco has a max speed of 12mph).

@mongolteiko thanks for the information, but the Invisible Engine has a top speed of 40kph which is slower than the Rocket and adding the Fake Engine changes it from 37kW, 8.4kN to 1MW, 300kN which wasn't the 'bit of a boost' I was looking for. I can just double (or triple) head the train, but then it doesn't look or sound correct.
Green Ranger (aka Gr1m)  [author] 18 Feb, 2021 @ 5:12pm
@bmr: Yeah, I made the booster not have any tractive effort because I didn't want to impact the overall 'feel' of engines - for example single driver engines with low tractive effort (ie the rocket, or my G class 2-2-2) suddenly being suitable for stuff like heavy freight loads on steep hills. Its more just to give underpowered engines a bit of a boost doing what they're supposed to do anyway.

That being said, thats more my preference than anything else, so I can have a look at tweaking things. I'll do some fiddling around with it and see if there's something I can come up with.
mongolteiko 18 Feb, 2021 @ 2:53pm
Hang on, there already is an invisible engine included in his pack.
bmr 18 Feb, 2021 @ 2:10pm
Hi Gr1m. Excellent mod. May I suggest a booster Tractive effort engine. A little engine (e.g. Stevenson's Rocket) on a long train still struggles up the hills no matter how many megawatts are added.

Hi Gr1m. I use this mod a lot and it's absolutely great. I have found a little problem though, when you add a a kW/HP to a multiple unit [either end], it knocks off the head/tail lamps [as it thinks there is another vehicle in front/behind. Is there anyway the unit can ignore the invisible vehicle? Thanks.

thx

Thank you, this mod is great :) It meets all my demand :steamhappy:

UPDATE: Added a 'mothball' carriage. This has a top speed of 0, so you can use it to reduce the maintenance costs of any stationary or aesthetic trains in yards and the like. Simply move your engines or carriages into place using any other normal method, then add the mothball using the 'edit train' feature.

There *is* still a maintenance cost for the overall train even when mothballed, however it's ~ 1/4 of the usual running costs.
mongolteiko 25 Jun, 2020 @ 3:54am
@Gr1m. Thanks for the update.
mongolteiko 25 Jun, 2020 @ 3:53am
I mean the invisible loco.
mongolteiko 25 Jun, 2020 @ 3:52am
@Doc Syder. You could put a fake loco in front of the fake wagons too and add the boosters to get the same power.
Green Ranger (aka Gr1m)  [author] 25 Jun, 2020 @ 3:10am
@Doc Snyder: I didn't even think of that, but.....theoretically yeah you could do that, though obviously stuff like stopping for signals and whatnot might look a bit odd.
Doc Snyder 25 Jun, 2020 @ 2:04am
Can i put a fake wagon infront of the train? Short regional trains would stop in the middle of a platform then, which is more realistic.
Green Ranger (aka Gr1m)  [author] 24 Jun, 2020 @ 8:48pm
UPDATE: Added invisible 'booster' engines in increments of 10, 100 and 1000, and available in both horsepower and kilowatts - add one of these to your existing trains to give them more power than they're supposed to. Maintenance costs are enabled for these to make them sliiiiiightly less cheaty.

Great toolbox, thank you Gr1m
Fabi4n_16 24 Jun, 2020 @ 11:36am
Very nice mod, would it be possible to make a engine which has a higher topspeed?
Green Ranger (aka Gr1m)  [author] 24 Jun, 2020 @ 8:17am
@s4r4hb3th: Urgh, I actually meant to do exactly that but must've overlooked it. It's now been fixed so the spacers are arranged from smallest to largest.
mongolteiko 24 Jun, 2020 @ 2:40am
Great job @ Gr1m. Thanks for answering my request. Much appreciated.
NoNejm 24 Jun, 2020 @ 1:30am
Really cool, nice work. Finally adding some life to the shunting yards!
s4r4hb3th 24 Jun, 2020 @ 12:28am
Can I suggest you rename the Fake Wagons A, B, C (eg Fake Wagon D - 1m spacer) so that you can get it to sort the spacers into the most logical order?
