Do not set any settings to ‘historical’ in Random World except for the optional historical religious features, religious names, and cultural names, or it will crash the the game.
You cannot use the old generator from the ck2generator website, you need to use the reddit post from November 2018, and you need to use specific sizes or aspect rations for the heightmap you are using to generate the map. For the least amount of issues I would use the topology.bmp from vanilla as a template to place your map on.
Does it work with the latest version of CK2 or do you have to revert to 3.0?
If it does work: How did you get CK2generator maps to work with the latest version? Mine consistently crash.
