Hello there,
Been using this mod for many years now and just wanted to drop my thanks here.
Without your mod redesigning cities from scratch would be practically impossible for me.
Imagine waiting for the game to plob down the buildings where u need them. hahaHaHAHA...

I sincerely hope, you will add this mod to TPF3 next year. :)

Build proper connections and the buildings will stay. This is the game logic at play, I have no power over it.

Hi, ive got a pretty big issue with this mod: the plopping works fine, houses and various developments work fine. But after a while, they suddenly all disappear. Like, i plop them down, and after 10 minutes they get automatically removed for some reason

No I can't, but you can plop your own assets (houses, industries etc) instead of having the game grow its own. There are lots of building assets in the workshop. Then cut the town size to near 0 (better not 0).

how can you prevent the dissapearance of the buildings ( I get that my towns needs are not fulfilled, but is there a mod that disables that?)
I mostly just want to play this game for the public transport factor, not cargo or town management or whatever

You can take ownership of roads to prevent side roads spawning; I don't think the game allows more than that.

Hello, is it possible to make a Version where you can filter wich Level of Building will be set? So i can place in an special Area only Skyscrapers for example. Thx

Exactly. And that means connecting them, supplying them, having good overload stats etc.

The reason your buildings despawn again is because your city doesn't need the buildings. You can only add buildings until you reach the citizen number threshold of that city. You need to fulfill the needs of the city to raise this threshold and to be able to develop the town

I dont know what you mean by that, but any that spawn in from this mod do seem to just disappear altogether after about 3 or 4 minutes...

The game makes them, the game takes them away. If you connect them, they stay; if they are not connected, they might go away.

The Town tuning mod will set up anything for a town including cargo needs. you can set the sliders to 9 for a tiny town, the sand box mod can delete it !!

Is there a way to make it to where it only builds a certain building type (EG: Residential building)? I want to build an Industrial district to the South of a town, and a Residential district to the West, but it wants to do it the other way around and I can't find a solution.

I can't find a verify button on Steam i assume its under another menu somewhere. Or is there a web page with all the info? I searched for 'Transport Fever 2 placeholders' on the web and found nothing !

The 1900 eraA buildings are fine.
The placeholders are on buildings from the game AI town build not from any mods. The buildings from mods are all good If i remove a mod from a game the the game won't load i can't scrape my game as i have spent 100's of hours building a part of north wales on a hightmap !
So far the only way around it as been to remove the town using the sandbox mod and build from asset buildings.

You have a faulty mod or you uninstalled a mod you built before. The game shows those as a placeholder where it cannot find a model.

Has anyone got odd looking blocks with letters and numbers on them like F3 F4 and so on ??? Is there a term for this so i can look up a fix ?

You can make much larger cities with the town tuning.

@SPUTNIK , from my understanding, no, you can't go over the 800maxium, which is just a scaling factor for the town, if you want more (because the buildings you place dissappear over time), you need to improve the city growth by other means... like creating a bus line, better connections etc...

Can you make city sizes bigger? Instead of 800 maximum, can you make it much higher than that like 1000 or 2000 maximum?

In other words, this mod is simply like a "trigger" that sends a message to the game simulation to "build/expand town now". And the game does it randomly or at where it thinks growth is needed.

The spawned buildings disappear after a while. Not useful for growing cities quickly, even with all its needs supplied.

You can change what a city needs in sandbox mode, just activate it, it is one of the default mods, it comes from Urban Games.
@Guys: sure the town will demolish the parts that are to much, it's the game itself! Just make sure your transport network is good enough,

Anybody know, are cities still needs both comm/ind zones to grow, and can be broke if someone will remove all buildings from one zone completely, as in TF1, or only one zone is enough now.

After few trying in my sandbox map, what @TheGuy975 is very true. If you have no shops or industrial buildings for created houses, they will disappear, same if shops or industrial buildings you create with the mod can't find people to work or to come to shops.
Another tip, if you delete buildings in order to keep only one color in a city, this mod will spawn only the color you chose.

Not Exactly. If you develop the city bigger than it needs/wants, it will delete what was built after a mouth. Not your fault, its the game design.

This is a very stupid mod, it relies on the game intelligence. If she thinks a certain area must grow, it will; you and I have no control on anything else.

Just build it, it will disappear automagically and you town will grow at a random place with the game logic.
