pgames-food 27 Jan @ 8:12pm
in the cartoons, it is easy to make thread - just wait for a lady to walk by with a woolly jumper, which has 1 thread hanging of, and quickly grab it, and the woolly jumper starts to un-ravel until she realises it vanished :)
Scratch brain 27 Jan @ 6:07pm
Try to make thread from ripped sheets in real life bro. I think you cant do that, but if try - you lose a soo many time!

set in "indie" stone? :)
Johnny Dollar  [author] 22 Jan @ 4:43pm
No need for salutes.
I'm waiting for B42 to be more stable and more set in stone before updating this mod.
It's true, we can now make thread and twine, and rope, in-game, but we will see just how tedious the process will be once the devs have decided what features to keep or balance.

requirin an specific item to proceed with this would make it more realistic. also to making the time spent a lot higher to balance
AudioElf 6 Mar, 2024 @ 3:56pm
This mod, while good and reasonable to have in the game, might be too overpowered. Textile fiber work is EXTREMELY labor intensive process even with industrial machines. I recommend severely increasing the production time to offset the power increased, maybe speed the process up based on tailoring skill.
Lexyvil 13 Feb, 2024 @ 9:19pm
One of the mods I really wish was in vanilla. It makes tailoring a lot more fun and less tedious given there's more you can do with it.

Thx!

@Johnny Dollar
My bad, I should have been more clear. I was talking specifically about the ripped sheets->thread recipe, but it's not a big deal. Thank you anyway :)
Kilyrka 17 Jan, 2024 @ 7:55pm
Thank you for the mod. Is there any chance you can make the recipe possible with knives too? Or perhaps a separate patch?
Johnny Dollar  [author] 19 Dec, 2023 @ 10:35am
Unless you have any mods that change fishing, or you don't have a full roll of twine, this mod is not the problem.
vsnegupal 5 Nov, 2023 @ 12:27am
Greetings. Can you please give me permission to include this mod in the modpack for my personal server? There will be a link to this mod in the modpack description, and I will always be in touch for original mod authors. You can post your approval/disapproval here or in private messages.

@Gingdman
If you ever see this page again can you share exactly what backpack mod it was conflicting?
Gingdman 5 Aug, 2023 @ 12:27pm
Sorry I have not played in a few days. Yes it was conflicting with a backpack mod I had so it is working now. thank you for the quick reply.
Johnny Dollar  [author] 2 Aug, 2023 @ 7:01pm
@Gingdman
Doesn't require a new start, did you make sure to enable the mod on your ongoing save, and not just in the main menu mod interface?

Also, you need scissors for a lot of the recipes.

If in doubt, start a quick test save with only this mod and maybe necroforge enabled to test it out yourself, or press B to open crafting and search without filters for "Rope" or "Twine" that should confirm that it works on your save :)
Gingdman 2 Aug, 2023 @ 5:55am
Does this require a new start? I cannot get it to work it seems. I have other mods installed and they all work.
Kyjivan BookDragon 23 Jun, 2023 @ 2:02am
Can you add the option to translate recipes? I would be very grateful!
Great_Puffer 11 May, 2023 @ 5:39am
i like the idea! although how do you do this with rope? i mean ive never cut rope before but i dont think it would be that easy if possible at all, overall great mod im looking forward to using it!
AmishMicrowave 6 May, 2023 @ 11:37am
You are a gentleman and a scholar, thank you for this mod. I hope the Devs reach out to you and ask to put your work into the vanilla game modes because it really should be in the game.
pzhda'tan 29 Apr, 2023 @ 3:10am
This mod is a necessity as you can't always find the element you need, but I can't stop myself from standing on a pile of corpses and farm rope from clothes to reach level 2 tailoring to use noir's bag pack slots. Literally having a mental breakdown right now fr. Great mod.
Auxilia 10 Dec, 2022 @ 11:12pm
Absolutely good mod. This feature should be in vanilla game.

i think you could increase the times for each recipe, making twine out of thread is more tedious than you think, perhaps adding some tailoring restrictions? level1 for sheets at least.
Chubby Sasquatch 31 Aug, 2022 @ 7:23am
man it is so easy to level up tailoring with this mod. just stand over a bunch of corpses, rip up everything, turn all ripped clothes into thread, turn thread into twine, turn twine into rope, turn rope into twine, turn twine into thread and repeat.
pgames-food 20 May, 2022 @ 3:37pm
hi is it possible to add a way to convert Ripped Sheets into actual Sheet Rope?

i have a mod which requires tons of sheet rope and i currently have a way to make a lot of ripped sheets, but not sheet rope :)
lologannus 15 May, 2022 @ 1:57am
vanilla tailoring is actually stupid so im glad to try out this mod soon
Sam 6 May, 2022 @ 9:04pm
:steamthumbsup:Once I realized this functionality was coming from a mod and not part of vanilla I made this face: -_- I love this mod! :steamthumbsup:
oyunogretmeni 22 Mar, 2022 @ 9:24am
making twine from 4 yarns we get by tearing fabric is nice but not realistic. It should be made of at least 12 pieces, which is my opinion, thanks for the mod.

@Live, Laugh, Lvl 2 sentry
Right?! But you wouldn't believe the amount of people who have claimed in the past that it's unrealistic, so I put that there to wave nay-sayers away.
sex is scary 23 Feb, 2022 @ 5:01am
"this mod isn't intended to be realistic and might make tailoring a lot easier for you"
well as a tailor i think it's quite realistic, maybe fabric to thread take like a lot of motivation and time to make irl but it ain't impossible
Johnny Dollar  [author] 27 Jan, 2022 @ 1:08pm
Yes it works, you need scissors for a lot of the recipes, and a decent amount of thread.
Consider downloading Crafthelper 41 whenever you are in doubt of what to do, as to not run in the dark blindly.
Czarna Owca 26 Jan, 2022 @ 6:55am
cant find the recipe and when i click at ripped sheats i cant make thread.
Adamos 22 Jan, 2022 @ 7:30am
There is a mod to craft sheets which complements this one: Craft Sheets! https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2310740542&searchtext=crafting
