Update time everyone!

I know it's been a while, but I finally got around to finishing the biggest update yet! All Requiem cards are now finalized and over 200 other cards have been added. Plus some very small bug fixes and quality of life improvements.

Check out the mod description for a full list of what's new! Since a lot has changed, if you encounter any new bugs, feel free to comment. I'll be happy to help!

@Flurbel: I made this version way before there was an official one, and now the actual cards contained in both versions are the same but there are still some differences. Compared to the official one, this version:

- contains higher quality cards & assets that stay sharp even when you zoom in.
- is less automated since I think it’s more enjoyable to actually play it like a real tabletop game, having to flip your HP tokens or use dice to count monster health. The official version has most of these automated, but sadly also contains a couple broken scripts.
- contains some extra content, like an extended version of the mat, all ten official custom dice & some Isaac music for the ambiance.
- is setup a little different, like the snapping points for the cards are spaced further apart compared to the official version so that the cards won’t glitch into each other when you’re turning them.

These are the important differences, pick whichever one suits you best!

This version of Four Souls is still by far my favorite. I hope more updates come to include 6-player options, the t-shirt unboxing cards from last year, and the newly announced summer booster packs coming this summer.

@AZULA: In every card pack with characters there is also a stack of cards with a silver crown on the back (looking like this: https://foursouls.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/EternalCardBack.png ) These are the starting items.

@TheDeb: It's possible, though not necessarily recommended. You could add more hand zones for each player using the zone tool ( https://kb.tabletopsimulator.com/game-tools/zone-tools/#hand-zone ). However, the table might be a bit too small for 6 or especially 8 players, so you could also download a larger table from the workshop and then import the cards from this mod.

@ParfaitHolomancer[PH]: Sorry to hear that, but that seems to be a problem on your side, since the assets in the cloud are all still working fine. You could try disabled "mod caching" in the settings, so the game is forced to re-download all cards, just in case they got corrupted.

There are a lot of them, so especially over slower internet connections this might take some time, but once you drag the cards out of the chests, you should see a progress report at the top of the screen.

Other than that, I don't know, sorry. You could maybe also try deleting the entire games' cache.

most of my monster cards end up being only being black on the front so i can't actually play. is there a setting or game mechanic im missing?

@Raclette: Maybe in the very distant future (after the localized physical versions of the game have shipped), but I can't make any promises. It's a lot of work that I unfortunately don't have the time for right now. Also, I don't speak French very well, so there would probably be some mistakes if I did it myself. But if someone wants to use my version as a base for a translation, they are more than welcome to do so.

In the meantime, if English is not an option, I would recommend using someone else's version in French. Search the workshop for "Four Souls FR" ( https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/browse/?appid=286160&searchtext=Four+Souls+FR ) and you'll find a few French translations. I can't recommend any particular one, but you could just try them out and see which one suits you best.

@Annihl8: Glad you like it! And yes, this is still alive, though at the moment there are a few things missing, mainly the challenge cards and a few promo cards. I will do one (maybe) final big update once the physical copies start shipping, then I will add all of those at once.

@HyperPixel: This mod contains a lot (and I mean A LOT) of high quality cards, so depending on the network speed it can take a few minutes to load everything, but it should display a progress indicator for that. Your friend could try turning "Mod Caching" in the settings off and on again, and then open this mod on their machine, so the assets get re-downloaded in case they somehow got corrupted. For the cards to be loaded they have to be pulled out of a treasure chest, so just unpack the big chest with every card in it. With mod caching on, they should only have to be downloaded once.

I can't help beyond that, I just checked and all of the cards are still online and load fine, so it might be an issue with their machine.

@Yam: Normally, when the game has loaded, everyone can choose a color. The host can also click on a player on the top right, then select "Change color".

@TheCho: Yes, this is still alive. I plan on adding the lootbox cards in the next couple of weeks. I will not be adding a functionality to automatically setup the challenges, I do however plan on adding the custom cards of the challenges like Resurrected Rag Man. These are not yet released in good quality so I'll wait for that.

@Vengativo: For that, we''ll have to wait for the official Spanish version to be released first, though. I don't speak Spanish myself, so I probably wouldn't feel comfortable translating everything myself with Google Translate. But once the Spanish version is released later this year, maybe with some luck they will also release the translated cards as digital versions, then it would be relatively doable to add them. So yes, I will think about it, but it'll take some time to get the resources.

By the way, if you or anyone else here wants to use my version as a base and make a community translation or anything else out of it yourself, you are free to do so, just give credit to this version, but I would be happy to see something like that.

@TheCho: Can you elaborate on what exactly you mean, because I'm not sure I understand. If by "adjustable scale" you mean making the table suitable for more players, that's on my to-do list, but until I officially release an update for it, you should have enough room for at least 2 more players if you copy hand zones, bags, and chests. And what exactly has white corners?
