Fixed the two typos...finally duh.

Well, seems like no more major updates are required for this.

Probably cu in EU5 ;)
JoeRifle  [author] 17 Feb @ 1:42pm
Thank you. Is on the list and will be fixed next update;)
andyprokj 17 Feb @ 10:41am
These lines in terms_l_english.yml should have "annuls" rather than "annuals":
TREATIES_TO_ANNUL:0 "$WHO$ annuals treaties with $WHAT$. \n"
TREATIES_TO_ANNUL_DESC:0 "$WHO$ annuals treaties with $WHAT$: $LIST$."

I do have an Extended Timeline addon for the base mod. It fixes the different alignments of graphics and text. You do have that installed, do you?^^

In case you do: plz upload a screenshot of the problem. And yes, I would fix it then. ET is an important addon 4 sure!

PS This will also make me fix a translation error as reported earlier by andyprokj :) Not forgotten.
BananasGoMoo 4 Jan @ 12:58am
This seems to have an issue with Extended Timeline and the Ages tab. There was a mod to fix this for Better UI 2 but using that causes issues in this mod. Can you make a version that works with this mod, or apply the patch to this mod as well? Thanks
JoeRifle  [author] 8 Sep, 2024 @ 12:43pm
well there is an issue when putting the font into the actual The Grand Exhibition event windows. You are using the standard game events. Those are no problem at all. You could "fix it" by hand as I advised you basically OR keep on using the other mod on top.

But from your screenshot it is clearly not the TGE events (those come with beautifully colored pictures and such, and this is where the "white font" problems start).

Anyhow, GG as you found a way for yourself.
Altan 8 Sep, 2024 @ 12:00pm
I have found a solution though. I deleted the file "eventwindow.gui" and downloaded a mod here in the workshop called "Another Stellaris Font" by Prodarit. I ran both your mod and that mod simultaneously and miraculously, it worked. The events are now a black Stellaris mod, like the rest, and it does not interfere with any changes your mod made. I'm satisfied with the results.

Here is how it looks: https://imgur.com/a/mGoJ6W0

I think one way you could solve this issue within your mod could be defining a new font in the files, where it's just the black version of "Medium_Font_Stellaris" and putting it only in the place of event descriptions in "eventwindow.gui". I have no idea or experience about modding in EU4 though so disregard my comment if it makes no sense.
Altan 8 Sep, 2024 @ 12:00pm
Thank you for your response and this gorgeous mod, I love what you did with the frames surrounding the tool-tips, it's so much better than the vanilla version.

I tried what you said, I clicked on the file "eventwindow.gui" and changed "verdana12_black" to "Medium_Font_Stellaris" in the event description section. Yes, I did not like the way the white font looked on the event screen, it looked super ugly, so good call on that.
JoeRifle  [author] 7 Sep, 2024 @ 5:41am
I tried this b4. There is a problem with the font. It will render totally unreadable in white. That was where I decided on keeping the original font.

You can try this for yourself - and if you still want that, you can keep the changes locally (I usually do not update the TGE compatibility part at all, no need to, thus it would stick for you).

The name of the mod you are searching in the Steam workshop folder is 2737249364 ( I call it TGE compatibility). It only changes one file (plain text): eventwindow.gui. Change that file by editing "verdana12_black" to "Medium_Font_Stellaris" or "Small_Font_Stellaris". You can search it or look for "instantTextBoxType = { name = "Description"

If you run into problems, just ask ;) Should be easy.
Altan 5 Sep, 2024 @ 9:53pm
Absolutely love it, thank you so much. One little problem, the font in the event pop-ups is not the Stellaris font, it's something different. Not a huge issue but I'd love to have events with the Stellaris font as well.
JoeRifle  [author] 17 Jul, 2024 @ 1:35pm
Thx. This does not directly affect the gameplay, but is an error. I might actually try removing localisations altogether. Lemme think. Will be fixed with next changes or even sooner, depending on my decision.
JoeRifle  [author] 19 Jun, 2024 @ 3:56pm
@Chefspecial Thx. This is on purpose. I left 2-3 things at default because it gives a better overall look compared to the huge Stellaris font.
Chefspecial 1 Jun, 2024 @ 12:48am
Meritocracy field for EoC is in old font.

THANKS:adulterer:
JoeRifle  [author] 9 May, 2024 @ 5:43am
Hi Nobel'. You install TGE, BiggerStellaris and BiggerStellarisTGE (which will then change window sizes for BiggerStellaris to fit the bigger events of TGE).
Nobel' 9 May, 2024 @ 4:34am
how i cane make it compatible with the TGE mod?
JoeRifle  [author] 8 May, 2024 @ 5:12pm
Updated. Please check for errors as usual. GG
Guan yu 22 Nov, 2023 @ 8:58am
i would post you the screenshot tommorw my good friend if you would need it i will take two
Guan yu 21 Nov, 2023 @ 10:44pm
ok
JoeRifle  [author] 21 Nov, 2023 @ 9:42am
correction: you have way more "space" (dpi) in the horizontal. not the vertical.
JoeRifle  [author] 21 Nov, 2023 @ 9:27am
ok then maybe it is sth else. but I can only tell from looking at the actual image displayed ingame. If you could, plz take 2 screenshots: no.1 @ scaling 1.0 ingame, no.2 @ increased scaling (increased to your liking).

I might be able to spot a reason by comparing both screenies. Thx man. (no need to Sir me dude ^^)
Guan yu 20 Nov, 2023 @ 10:43pm
yes only this dipolmancy single window sir
JoeRifle  [author] 20 Nov, 2023 @ 2:13pm
that would be great. maybe - if it is just this single window - there might be another reason. But my actual guess is that it is simply your vertical dpi. You do have way more room...
Guan yu 20 Nov, 2023 @ 8:58am
@Joerife Yes i am using 3440x1440 p but with 2.0 ui scale The dipolmancy screen look so small :) I WOULD post a screenshot tommorw sir
JoeRifle  [author] 20 Nov, 2023 @ 7:36am
it should be okay actually (which also contains an element of taste of course). are u running @1440p?

Plz show me the screen if you think it is unusually small. So I can compare it to the way it should be.

Probably not easily fixable though. Because larger screens need graphics editing. Only hotfix is the ingame slider as to scaling.
Guan yu 19 Nov, 2023 @ 9:08pm
Could you make the dipolmancy screen on 1440p a bit larger :) is a bit small atm
Guan yu 19 Nov, 2023 @ 5:27am
Thanks you
JoeRifle  [author] 18 Nov, 2023 @ 9:59am
I dunno actually. But it might ;) Plz try it. And if you run into alignment issues try playing with the UI scale setting in the game.

Plz feel free to post a screenshot of this rather interesting experiment.
Guan yu 18 Nov, 2023 @ 12:12am
Would it work well with 3440x1440 21:9
JoeRifle  [author] 6 Nov, 2023 @ 10:56pm
Updated. Enjoy, and uncover bugs plz.
Chefspecial 6 Nov, 2023 @ 11:56am
Hey man! I tweaked and updated some fields in the base Stellaris UI Font mod. Feel free to use any if it can help you.

Big fan/user of your mod as well :)
JoeRifle  [author] 19 Oct, 2023 @ 8:21pm
Try the menu scaling slider. Lower it just 1 notch. It is in settings somewhere.

If that does not help I might take a quick look into it ;)
Evil Sandwich 19 Oct, 2023 @ 6:02pm
This works great, EXCEPT: it seems that on 16:9 aspect ratios (I've tried 1920x1080 and 1600x900), the "Accept" and "Cancel" buttons are missing in the covert actions page when I want to fabricate claims. I take it they're just offscreen, but it's keeping me from fabricating claims. It shows on 1680x1050 but then the UI as a whole seems small.
Any tips or anything?
JoeRifle  [author] 19 Oct, 2023 @ 3:56pm
Yes.
Evil Sandwich 19 Oct, 2023 @ 3:42pm
Sorry to be stupid, but this is it's own mod and doesn't require anything else, correct?
JoeRifle  [author] 16 Aug, 2023 @ 5:51pm
advisors --> countrycourtview.gui
government --> countrygovernmentview.gui
diplomacy --> countrydiplomacyview.gui
estates --> countryestatesview.gui / estate_privileges.gui
subjects --> countrysubjectsview.gui

The rest of your screenies look ok. Advisors might be a problem depending on amount. Search for scrollbar in the files mostly. Then change sizes, position etc. accordingly.

GL HF.

PS I would use my mod and then declare your changes as a dependency to it. Look at the meta files in my additional mods and their structure. They are all dependencies. Use the same structure.

PPS Every once in a while you might have to do a diff with sth like notepad++ because the game devs might change things that you do not have in the dependency atm. Hope you catch my drift.

Ahh I got it. Thank you for your answer. I understand that it is hard to keep updated such a large mod for different resolutions. But I need bigger UI because its very hard to see things in 14'' laptop screen.

Maybe I can change alignments for Diplomacy and Estate tabs and use your mod as local mod in 1680x1050 resolution if you can say me which files need to be changed. Also maybe I can send you changed files and you can add this mod as add-on if you want to.

( I am software developer so I can do this I guess, but there are too many files in your mod, it is hard to find which files used for alignment purposes especially diplomacy and estate tabs)

If you don't want to keep busy this comment section, you can send me mail.

JoeRifle  [author] 11 Aug, 2023 @ 8:42pm
Hello. I see the problem. Mostly clipping. You should be able to use it - but it is of course not pretty.

The problem is that in order to fix it, all alignments would have to be corrected by hand. I think that there are Stellaris mods out there that change 0 alignments, only the font. But they do not add all the large windows...unfortunately.

Sry man, but that is just too much hassle to maintain for me.
Mehmetb35 ツ 10 Aug, 2023 @ 6:42am
Hello bro, thanks for your great work. Since I play on 14'' 16:10 laptop, I cannot play at resolutions like 1440p or 1080p since UI in EU4 looks extremely small. In 1680x1050 resolution, most of the mod is working, but Diplomacy, Estate tabs are not extended like idea, decisions tab. Is it possible to fix this if it is not too difficult for you? I have some screenshots to describe the problem. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1f9YuMTY--HGhY-tO0R5_9tmml9tqnDss?usp=share_link
Nerovertigo 3 Aug, 2023 @ 12:21am
Now everything works fine, great job, thanks!
JoeRifle  [author] 2 Aug, 2023 @ 4:56am
Try again. I have updated my mod to also use a large font tooltip. You should no longer need the other mod. This might even lead to issues...

If it does not solve your problem, plz gimme a quick screenshot then.
Nerovertigo 2 Aug, 2023 @ 2:25am
Thanks, it works now. I noticed that using the mod "Stellaris UI font - Large tooltips" the text in the events becomes white, could you make a mod compatible with yours that enlarges the tooltips? That would be very helpful, anyway thanks!
JoeRifle  [author] 31 Jul, 2023 @ 8:17pm
@Nero Thx for the report. Didn't even realize that myself while playing. Fixed.
Nerovertigo 20 Jul, 2023 @ 10:14pm
TGE event images are slightly lowered from where they should be. (Yes, I also have the compatibility mod)
JoeRifle  [author] 26 Jun, 2023 @ 4:16pm
An incompatibilty between fonts or color definitions, I would guess. Also, the event window is a special window as it also might get changed by particular mods, e.g. The Great Exhibition.

The files changed is eventwindow.gui.

If you use TGE then you need the optional addon mod up there for the larger event windows size. If you do not use TGE, you should be ok with the main mod alone.

Try loading only my mod and see if that resolves the issue with the font. Then try again with the chinese language mod only. Troubleshoot the mods that way.
VENI VIDI VICI 26 Jun, 2023 @ 11:36am
Hi I am using Chinese language mod but the words in the event window turned white and hard to see, what could be the problem?
JoeRifle  [author] 29 May, 2023 @ 3:18pm
@Feda Try the LegacyUnitFont optional mod from above. And also, plz report problems with alignments if u happen to come across any.
Feda 23 May, 2023 @ 9:39am
Thank you, that would be amazing! :D
JoeRifle  [author] 22 May, 2023 @ 4:47pm
You are right. This was changed beginning with 1.35. It used to be the standard ingame font (arial as far as I remember).

A user here requested Stellaris overall - and I actually agree that this looks better (totally subjective of course).

To help you guys, I can add a little addon mod that allows you to revert it back to the standard font from b4.

Should be up until the weekend. I hope you can bear the other font for just a bit longer in the meanwhile ;)
