you should add the dynamic lighting mod to that 'reccomennded extras' section. molotovs, pipe bombs and spitter goo, alongside anything on fire creates light- you can hold your molotov or pipe bomb for light, but you'll have to shoot blind in dark spaces.

That's a cool idea, unfortunately L4D isn't that complex, it's either on or off.

Could you make a version that keeps the flashlight on guns, but removes it for everything else?

put map .vpk files into your addons folder - program files (x86)/steam/steamapps/common/left 4 dead 2/ left 4 dead 2/addons ... that was from memory, don't quote me boy cause I ain't said shit

Hey I'm new to Steam but I am familiar with the game. I have a couple friends who play this but won't help me with the downloads or folders. I download Haunted Forest and Silent Hill: Other Side of Life but I can't play it in game. What did I do wrong? o.o Any help so I know what to do next time I see a download I want and do on my own. click on download, then click on the bottom download link (the one without a padlock). Put the .vpk file in your addons folder.

Excellent. This is truly one of the best.

It kills the flashlight. It's not for everyone, but tactical players do enjoy the added difficulty.

So... this is supposed to remove the flashlight from being used?

It's a basic mod, will work in all game modes.

this mod is awesome! i played the titanic map and when i had to turn off all the lights in one part i couldnt see anything so i tried to turn the flashlight on but i figured that one of the mods is not letting me use the flashlight and in that dark area, i got some jump scares from hunters and spitters and jockeys and chargers. maybe a few common ones too.

That's already part of the game, just use Realism mode (in the main game menu)
