It looks like this mod no longer works after the latest Civ 5 update, which is a crying shame. Vanilla multiplayer AI just doesn't cut it. It's as they say; you don't know what you've got till it's gone... I hope it can be fixed. This mod made coop multiplayer fun.

I doubt I'll get a fix, but this mod crashes my game even when I try to run it by itself using the MPPatch. Anyone got a fix?

I have the sam/e question as Dialtone. Is there a way to activate civ animations of the AI in network games? I'm guessing not but worth a shot

Is the only file this mod modifies CvGameCore_Expansion2.dll? Reason for asking is if I overwrite the original file manually would everything with this mod be functioning in LAN games, or is there more files installed by the Modmanager. So far it seems to work well, played LAN games with it and didn't have to put the Modmanager on each computer.

Also is there any plan to make the graphic part(leader animations) of the AI contacting you function in networked games?

One last question. If I leave the CvGameCore_Expansion2.dll in place, then play my single player games would the AI be affected in anyway?

its literally the most tilting, frustrating, annyong thing in the game. ... or maybe i have to become a modder myself. but im lazy. so plss make a mod for singeplayer to make the AI behave like in multiplayer -> not talking anymore. quiet diplomacy is good, but does not even half the job. STOP THEM FROM TALKING! o.O NOW!!! ... thx

@Tomboeg thanks for the answer. To have a clear reference for myself and any possible future bypasser: this mod, though greatly improving AI behaviour, does not make AI in MP declare war on a human player. Correct?

@Erdtod. I believe it only makes the AI send offers and doesn't alter the AI behavior like artificial unintelligence/smart ai does.

This did work for us: AI contacted us with trade offers and different messages. But so far it didn't declare war on any of us, even though it amassed quite an army near the borders of one of us. (We played as 3 in a team). I don't know if that's because we're in a team and are considered more powerful by the "Immortal" AI, or because it's still doesn't happen in MP. If anyone knows, please let me know - since not being challenged by the AI makes team matches vs it pointless... IDK why did 2K simplify the AI for the multiplayer...

We are playing a normal size game (6 AIs and 2 humans) with default options. If the AI works as intended we may be able to just ignore this reloading screen even though its annoying. Googling about it, it seems it is a common problem in MP games and still has no safe fix or at least I couldn't find one.

I don't know if this mod just unlocks the AI's ability to offer you trade agreements or enhances its behavior overall. Because if the only new thing is the AI offering trade agreements then I prefer to play as normal without the mod in order to avoid the loading screen each turn...

I have had several games play normal, but only when with 3 humans and no more than 5 AI's. The AI wil contact players randomly and if you have something they want like resources. But it will contact all human players and not favour the host.

On bigger games I did get the loading screen later in the game even corrupting the entire game.

Dont know how many AI's you are playing with. If more than 8 players total try with less civ's.

Hello, we tried the mod, we loaded a saved game and continued playing. EVERY single turn, the game puts us in the loading screen, reloads the graphics and then plays out the turn normally. This is somewhat annoying.

Moreover, I'm hosting and the AI seems to communicate more with me but my friend doesn't get messages from the AI. I don't really now if this is a coincidence or the mod is working only for the host and not for the other players.

We both load the game via the modmanager, I load the saved game and then I send an invite to my friend.

Is this loading screen routine normal behavior for this mod?

Hoped this would improve my Human vs AI coop up, but upon initiating diplomacy (Japan(human)->Roman empire(AI)) the game crashes.

hey, me and a buddy of mine have two problems with once the mod and once the modmanager: first of all, the mod doesn't shop up in the modmanager (i extracted the mod manually like every other mod ) and it won't show up, no matter what i do. And second, the game doesn't allow us to play together via the multiplayer, since no matter who of us both is the host, whenever the one joins we will get the message that the non host player hasn't the same mods installed as the host. Anyone got any solutions for that?

So it's not really caused by mods just by the bad MP job firaxis did themselves? I Should've figured that.

When such a loading screen occurs custom buildings from mods disappear for everyone except for the host. Is this fixable and we just didn't properly configure our games or is it just firaxis disturbing our gaming experience again?

And finally are you still going to work/working on a MP Mod Support System for Civ V? :nepnep:

yes, you both need to have the same dlc's aktivated.
Now that you mention it: It was reported before, that not using the same dlc is causing the mod manager to go crazy.

A friend and I tried to use it with JdH's Active AI mod (only), so I suppose it would be compatible.
Could there be an issue if we do not have all the same vanilla DLC?

@Phaenomenom I've had this problem before, what can happen is that one of the mods you installed is actually outdated, to fix this you have to launch the game normally (without mod manager) and open your mods menu, some outdated mods will prompt the option to update them.

Keep in mind that the "is using mods the host does not use" error is a failure on an CRC check, basically saying "the mod/game files you both have are not exactly identical". I've never seen a case where this issue could not be resolved.

The mod manager does still work but has a few issues, it is also not compatible with all kinds of mods (maximum of 1 dll mod and no SQL mods at all).
