Well the important thing is yours allows the rounds to pass through the car. With what I had coded up it was passing through the player shooting it and the passenger as well as the car lol.

Feel free to refer to the GitHub. There's potential pros and cons to both approaches and I did consider what you did as well. I went this way because I've done other empty-vehicle jank before =p

Hey dude, was browsing the Arma 3 discord and found this absolute hidden gem.

I was curious I seen the license is APLSA, would you mind if I isolated the FFV mechanic for a survival server? My goal would be just to isolate those mechanics effectively trimming everything else out if you were fine with it, I have no plans to alter credits.

The FFV mechanics I was working on myself wasn't nearly as good. I did a combination of spawning a projectile from third person camera synced to left clicking for a San Andreas style script, but it's trash, I mean it worked but this is way better.

Would there maybe be a way to change the colour of the seats when shown (highlighted and nonhighlighted)? it would be nice if it was a cba setting

I can confirm the issue where you can get in even when far away from the vehicle still works. Simply bind the "Show seats" key to something where you can move and hold it down while near the vehicle, but then start moving away from it.

Works the same for toggle, if you bind the toggle key to "Ctrl" for example, and bind the switch seat key to just "F". You'll teleport right in.

Hi Ampersand.
We as well have the TF373 MH47 CTD (Vanilla). Not even getting a RPT to check.
Similiar issue happens when we have the RHS MELB / Hatchet MH-60 (But both of the the error only happens with a custom classes -> We give them a callsign and a CTAB Tag).
Any Idea how to find the culprit? Will start with loading only the affected mods, but maybe you already have an idea? Anyway, great mod worth bughunting for.

Hey Ampersand, hope you're well! It appears this mod and Dismount Where You Look causes a cTab forked mod to not work properly. @Ampersand, cool mod, but found 2 bugs:
- On some RHS Humvees the mod makes a script error and the icons to select a seat wont show up.
- In the Task Force 373 MH-47G SOAR Chinook mod, your game crashes, if you change the seat via the "Ride Where You Look" option in the helicopter.

Same problem as Space Time, I can't switch seats when I'm in the vehicle; I have to exit and choose again to switch seats.

bruh, thanks for your brilliant work, its great but there is one thing that I cant change seat when there is someone in vehicle though there are still many empty seats, I have to get off and choose seat again. Is this a feature or bug?(test vehicle is HEMTT)

Understood, I would very much like most of the things bound to just one thing since having to ACE interact for certain things, then just using the vanilla BIS interact for stuff and having another thing on top of that for vehicles gets a little messy. Will look into it though, thanks.

You can try just binding show seats to the same key as Ace interaction menu. I'm not sure that you'd actually want seats cluttering up your interaction menu though.

@Ampersand The mod is very cool. Thanks for that! Currently we are not using it, since the Hatchet MH60 variants do not seem to be supported by your mod for the "Door right 1" and "Door right 2 (hoist control)" seats, correct?

Seems like the last update overrides "locked for players"
Our Liberation mission has all enemy vehicles locked for players, but using RWYL we can climb into them

@Dutch @WhiteWolf can you confirm that only happens when you switch between seats that normally can't? ie from heli copilot to cargo where the option normally doesn't show in scroll menu?

My group has been playing with the mod for a couple of weeks now on a our dedicated server. It has happened often enough for us to tell our members not to use it when the vehicles are moving. Often the player is ejected, then a couple of seconds later is teleported back inside. Works perfectly as long as the vehicle is stationary.

Rather funny when a guy tries to change seat in a flying helicopter, gets ejected, hits the ground and then get's TP'd back inside, now unconscious from the fall damage.

Sorry for the late reply, steam's not giving me notifications. Not any vehicles in particular, I believe it was the Apr. 8th update. So far we've had no more issues, but we're also not played as much as back then. I'll let you know if it happends again. Great job on all your work so far!

It seems that in Multiplayer, trying to change seat whilst the vehicle is moving causes you to be ejected.

Ever since the latest update we've been having some issues trying to leave vehicles. It locks up your game and copies your previous position, if you had changed seats.

Yeah I previously had it using the getIn animation when not switching seats, but it was taking a lot of effort to make reliable, so I cut it out. It's good to acknowledge =)

@Phantom Aspekt if you mean like how steering works in Halo, probably not, since that works like "go that direction". Otherwise you could just map the look axis to the vehicle left/right axis, which works like "turn left this hard".

Improved MP same-vehicle seat-switching at high-speed by using basegame moveToSeat actions when possible, instead of moving player out and back in.
Fixed distance check when getting into a vehicle.

Feature request. Can you pls make the selected icon to have a different color, then other icons? Right it all has the same color, and in the middle of a firefight it is hard to tell which one is selected
