I've been using this mod for a long time, and it's great. Can I ask for a feature? Could the same behavior happen when capturing anomalies? By default if you tell a pawn to do it while drafted they'll stay drafted afterwards.

@Phrozehn it's less obvious to me that this is always a desired behavior. You would sometimes tend to someone during a battle just to stop the bleeding and then continue fighting, you would not want pawns walking away unexpectedly during a fight.

Supposedly, if you tend in the field, and the battle is already over, wouldn't the next step always be "take X to hospital bed"?

AWesome mod! Wondering if it's possible to have the same functionality afdter forcing a tend while drafted? I often forget about the doctor, and they stand around drafted for a while.

@ZuluFox it would, yes. In the meanwhile, see if it works for 1.4 as is. Unless something drastically changed with how prisoners are handled, it should still work.

no, it is vanilla. the default is no interaction, but even if the prisoner stops being a prisoner the tab setting will be remembered. so if I recruit someone and then imprison them they will be set to recruit. if i release them instead and then try to imprison they will be set to release from the start

with this mod the colonist can instantly search for a job again, and so they release the imprisoned colonist/pawn imediately after capture.

The default is "No Interaction" though, do you have another mod that changes the default to Release?

i am, the thing is my pawn because they are undraftet instantly release the prisoner because it has been set to release prior. i sugested a fix by making the warden job for that pawn unavailable for a short moment, so i can actually pause, select the pawn and set the settings to no interaction. if there is another way to fix it then that is fine too, but having my pawn be instantly released by the pawn who tucked them in in the first place kinda doesn't work well

@megabot all this mod does is add a step to the "TakeToBed" routine, to check if the pawn is drafted and undraft if they are. Are you certain that this mod is what's causing this? It sounds unlikely.

so a small problem: if a pawn is set to release after imprisonment they get captured and instantly released before i can do anything. i think a prisoner should not get a warden interaction for a few ticks after being imprisoned to fix that, but still be allowed to be tended

ah thanks, yes you are correct with what would be the correct fix indeed :)

i was just looking for something that could possibly help players in the meantime until a proper fix can be found, but will try and find the cause too :)

@pgames-food This particular mod merely adds an "undraft" step at the end of the "take to bed" routine, it does not respond to any particular need of a colonist, although that shouldn't be _too_ difficult to implement, I suppose.

Having said that, your suggestion sounds like a bandaid solution rather than something that would fix the underlying issue, the "correct" course of action would be to track down the source of the crash and fix that, I haven't read the code (nor do I play with) of those mods, so I can't really provide a more specific opinion.

but i was wondering if you know of any way that a character can be automatically undrafted, IF there "recreation" level reaches 90%?

basically there is an issue when using the kijin version 2 mod, and RimThreaded which can crash the game when it goes above 90 like 94% and am thinking maybe a fix could be made via the kijin mod, or using something like what you did here with the bed/undrafting :)

thanks i'd been having to micromanage my infirmary or sickbay or hospital or whatever you want to call it and battle at the same time. one of my guys is a pacifist but has high medical and social skill so it works out. recruited him and 2 others from the Ancient Danger actually
