@NERNS: Unfortunately, the game is hardcoded to allow only 4 galaxy settings at the moment, so I can't add any new shapes without getting rid of the defaults.

did you go full mathematical on it or did you try to mess until you had what you want ? xD Because what impress me is that some change on the generator files are producing result as good as that (yes I did check the files).
Some galaxy shape generators add systems in the center of the map or have systems that stretch to the border of the map. If either of those happened then the systems from these two mods would overlap with the default galaxy in weird ways. I was wondering if there was any weird overlap or not.
Gigastructures spawns its core via event, after galaxy generation, so it should work. And so does Extragalactic Clusters.
I want fortresses back, so that siege fleets are actually a separate thing from combat fleets...
